Development of an endoscopically implantable neurostimulator with pH sensor for treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease and design of feedback-controlled neurostimulation based on pH changes in the esophagus

Gastroesophageal reflux disease is a common gastrointestinal disease in the western world with a prevalence of 20%. Today's treatment options for the less severe course of the disease include dietary and regimen measures and the administration of antacids. For more severe and/or prolonged courses, where current treatment is not helpful, treatment with proton pump inhibitors is used. However, a substantial percentage of patients is not responding to this treatment. For this group of patients, fundoplication is practically the only treatment option, but it is a controversial one due to ambiguous conclusions about its efficacy. A major problem with reflux esophageal disease, apart from the significant reduction in quality of life, is the complications, which include esophagitis causing narrowing of the esophagus associated with difficulty in swallowing, and the subsequent development of Barrett's esophagus, which is a precancerous condition. Subsequent adenocarcinoma of the esophagus is then characterised by a high mortality rate. It is only in recent years that a method of treatment consisting of neurostimulation of the lower esophageal sphincter to increase its pressure has been developed, leading to a reduction or elimination of reflux episodes. Improvement of Bit Error Rate in Free Space Optical Link

The article describes an inovative bit error rate reduction technique principle and its practical implementation. The design is implemented in an FPGA and can be combined with other more conventional BER reduction techniques. The presented approach benefits from properties of an optical channel which a general RF channel does not have.
Automatic testing of gas leak detector

This work deals with the automatic testing of an ultrasonic gas leak detector, which has to be tested during normal changes in the development phase. The reader will be acquainted with the basic principles of gas detection, design of the test product, software architecture its implementation. The following is a presentation of the application and instructions for writing tests. In this work, the Beaglebone Black development board with the Debian operating system is used as the core of the entire test product.

Edge detection is one of the fundamental techniques used in the fields of image processing and computer vision. Goal of this thesis is an implementation and evaluation of chosen basic and advanced edge detection methods, including performance evaluation. Thesis describes implementation and performance evaluation of Linked Edges as Stable Region Boundaries method. Performance is evaluated using Berkeley Segmentation Data Set and Benchmarks 500 .

Tato diplomová práce pojednává o zmírnění bitové chybovosti bezkabelového optického spoje s užitím principu reciprocity aplikovaného na komunikační kanál, spolu s možností kódování přenášených dat. V této práci je implementováno LDPC a Reed-Solomonovo kódování pro jejich vyhovující vlastnosti. Zbytková rámcová chybovost je vypočtena a k dispozici jako výstup systému, který je implementovaný v hradlovém poli (FPGA).
Lighting system for auditorium

V této bakalářské práci je uveden návrh a realizace osvětlovacího systému, který svou specifikací překonává možnosti široce rozšířeného protokolu DMX512/RS485. Dále jsou zde popsány omezení tohoto protokolu a také protokolů CAN bus a 100BASE-TX. V závěru je pak navržena síťová topologie, která je vhodná pro řízení daného počtu koncových prvků, spolu se samotným koncovým prvkem (řízeným světlem).

Network End Node for Spacial Monitoring of Atmosphere Parameters

LoRaWAN end node is often a device composed of a sensor, or actor. In this case it is sensor monitoring atmosphere parameters. This can be used to investigate atmospheric impact on Free Space Optics. This work is firstly focused on physical layer LoRa, then on LoRaWAN communication protocol. LoRaWAN device classes are also described and examples of measurable parameters can be found at the end of the theoretical part as well. The practical part describes all components, which were chosen when designing this device, and lastly it comprises the schematic design. The result is printed circuit board design.

The goal of this master thesis was increase production efficiency of turning machine TORNOS MultiDECO 20/6, which are unique in the Czech Republic by their contruction. Based on data analyzed has been found few areas, where are possible improve operations to increase production efficiency. For improving production efficiency has been implemented several real devices on the turning machine. The next step has been identified the cause of increase consumption of cutting tool and proposal for reduce of used cutting tool.
