Li-Fi, use of light and LED to communicate between luminaires and user
Ludányi, Róbert ; Novák, Daniel (referee) ; Škoda, Jan (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the use of light and LEDs for communication between the light and the user. In the introduction, the principles of VLC, which Li-Fi is part of, are described. The work also contains issues on the topics of Li-Fi, such as methods of modulation of carrier signals for data transmission, comparisons between other wireless communications, individual elements of optical frontends, current versions of Li-Fi and other possible uses of this technology. The work also contains the designing of a system working on the principle of Li-Fi.
Cooperation of telecommunication and information transmission systems
Novák, Daniel ; Vychodil, Petr (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
Some telecommunication systems are theoretically analyzed in this thesis. Basic types of digital modulations are also analyzed here and applying them to practice. In the implementation part of the thesis are realized three laboratory tasks addressing to modulations issue, coding and data transfer in the SONET network. Tasks are simulated by EMONA TutorTIMS. software. In appendix are described functions and parameters of used modules.
The implementation of new JAR-FCL 1 requirements on the air transport pilots theoretical training in human performance and limitations.
Novák, Daniel ; Šošovička, Róbert (referee) ; Hlaváčová, Jana (advisor)
This bachelor thesis provides an overview of legislative changes and new requirements for the theoretical preparation of airline pilots according to JAR-FCL 1 regulation in human performance and limitations. It processes a list of changes in educational curriculum and includes recommended changes that should be made to the existing teaching materials.
Analýza a identifikace specifických lokálních struktur DNA
Novák, Daniel
The thesis deals with the design of an algorithm allowing to search for DNA structures that have the potential to form a Z-DNA conformation. This algorithm was subsequently implemented as a new module in an existing DNA analyser web application. Furthermore, the thesis deals with the research of the development of this web application.
Simple Terrain Autonomous Navigation
Novák, Daniel ; Obdržálek, David (advisor) ; Vodrážka, Jindřich (referee)
An important ability for light terrain outdoor navigation of an UGV (Un- manned Ground Vehicle) is traversability detection. We focus on creating an evaluation layer for move_base package, which is part of ROS (Robot Operating System), using a lidar sensor. After sorting measured points into grid cells of the costmap, we calculate the traversability of each cell. For this calculation, we have proposed three different functions - the difference between the maximum and minimum point heights, variance of point heights and computation of eigenvalues of the covariance matrix. We tested the pro- posed functions in selected real-world situations with respect of operation usability. As a result, the robot is able to reach a given location in light terrain based on the resulting costmap, preferring paths with lower terrain roughness.
Analysis of the impact of a 10-day training camp at a higher altitude on performance of adolescent runners
NOVÁK, Daniel
Goal of this Bachelor thesis is to check, if there will be any changes of functional and biochemical parameters of the organism for medium and long length track adolescent runners during a 10-day training camp in high altitude around 1850 meters. Runners were subjected to functional laboratory examination both before and after the camp. All requisites were identical for both the control group and the runners who completed this camp. We were examining measured parameters of VO2max, resting heart rate, breath capacity, expiratory minute ventilation, pulse oxygen, respiratory rate, respiratory exchange ratio, heart rate during peak oxygen consumption and maximum watt performance. Most significant watched parameter was VO2max, where we saw an increase of 15,52 % from original 55,40 +- 7,73 ml-min-1-kg-1 to 64,00 +- 9,87 ml-min-1-kg-1 . Another one was resting heart rate, there was a decrease of 5,86 % for the runners after coming back to lowland compared to rates that were measured before the camp. Erythrocytes values increased by 2,38 %, haemoglobin by 2,69 % and haematocrit by 2,27 %. All these results show factual and statistical importance, the only parameter that didn't show any statistical importance was haematocrit. Result of our research confirmed, that 10-day training camp has a major impact on functional and biochemical parameters of the organism.
