Vliv selenu a vitamínu E na kvalitu masa vykrmovaných býků
Navrátilová, Eliška
A control and an experimental group of bulls were set up for the experiment. The bulls were fed the same total mixed ration. The experimental group had this total mixed ration by the addition of vitamin E and selenium. The whole experiment lasted for 90 days. The bulls were weighed at monthly intervals. At the end of the experiment, the bulls were slaughtered at the slaughterhouse. Samples were taken from the muscle, which were wrapped and stored in a refrigerator. Individual analyses were conducted for a total of 4 weeks, from week 0 to week 4 of maturation. Analysis for selenium content and sensory properties of the meat was carried out at the beginning and at the end of maturation. The result showed that the addition of selenium and vitamin E to the total mixed ration did not affect weight and gain. The selenium content in the meat of the experimental group was higher and increased during maturation, while that of the control group was lower and gradually decreased. As the selenium content of the meat increased, the sensory parameters evaluated also improved, whereas the results of the control group were similar at weeks 1 and 4 of maturation.
Technique of oral hygiene in intensive care
Navrátilová, Eliška ; Rambousková, Kateřina (advisor) ; Antalová, Natália (referee)
This thesis deals with the procedures and equipment used in the performance of oral hygiene in patients hospitalized in intensive care. The aim was to find out how oral hygiene is currently performed in intensive care beds at the University Hospital Královské Vinohrady and what aids and solutions are used by non-medical health staff. On the basis of the information obtained, a uniform procedure was subsequently developed that could serve as a template for the creation of a new nursing standard that would serve as a guide for nurses e bedside of patient how to perform oral hygiene, unify the procedures of individual departments and thus contribute to improving the quality of nursing care in this particular area. At the same time, the procedure was implemented in bedside practice immediately after the data collection from this research, so that it could be assessed in a subsequent pilot study for the impact of updated and specified techniques in patients with the same sample characteristics. Indeed, the follow-up study will assess the impact of the oral hygiene technique on the microbial colonisation of the airways. Keywords: intensive care, oral hygiene, non-ambulatory patient, VAP prevention

Navrátilová, Eliška ; Duběda, Tomáš (advisor) ; Bořek - Dohalská, Marie (referee)
Title: Approximants in a perception and production of Czech students Abstract: This work investigates the characteristics of three French approximants [j] - [] - [w]. First, they are analysed by historical, articulatory, and accoustic points of view. There is a brief summary of the problems and development of the terminology. We compare their appearance in French with their appearance in Czech. In the experimental part, there are studies of perception and of production by Czech students. We use an analysis of forms and of recordings in which we identify specific mistakes. Then, we look for the reasons for these mistakes in order to propose some solutions and ways to prevent them and, eventual-ly, check them. This thesis set up a compact system of activities and methods in receptive appropriation and active appropriation.
