Behaviour and ecology of leopard geckos (Eublepharis macularius)

During evolution, the natural selection favours individuals with the best survival strategy and the highest reproductive success. From the evolutionary point of view, hybridization plays an important role in the process of speciation. Avoiding predators by choosing the most appropriate antipredator strategy increases the animal's chances of survival as well. Studying fitness consequences of hybridization and predation in Eublepharis macularius (Eublepharidae) was the main objective of this theses. Compared to other vertebrate groups, the reliable records on hybridization and its effect on the hybrid's fitness (fertility, survival) in lizards are scarce, despite their ability to hybridize between genetically distant species. These effects were examined in two species of eyelid geckos (E. macularius and E. angramainyu). We aimed to discover whether they were willing to hybridize with a heterospecific species and how the fitness of the hybrids would be affected. Similarly, were studied more genetically related forms of E. macularius species complex, the potential precopulatory barriers, and fitness cost of this hybridization. Ontogeny and evolution of body size and sexual size dimorphism in reptiles

Monitor lizards (Varanidae) are morphologically very uniform in body shape, but much diversified in body size along both phylogenetic and ontogenetic axes. A striking sexual size dimorphism exists in monitor lizards; they are capable of fast growth, metabolism and sexual maturation. I collected the data concerning body size of particular species and verified the validity of Rench's rule, which said that there is bigger difference in body size of a conspecific male and females growing with larger body size of the species. Males are markedly bigger than females. In the next step, I focused on the model species of monitor lizards, Varanus indicus. I monitored its ontogeny very carefully. I found that this monitor lizard has pronounced sexual size dimorphism, but there are only small differences in body shape. It is capable of rapid growth and sexual maturation. The sexual dimorphism in body shape is only poor, but still measurable right in those places where the selection pressures were expected. Study of the European green lizard, Lacerta viridis, and ecologically interconnected reptile species in the Czech Republic

The European green lizard, Lacerta viridis (Laurenti, 1768), is protected in the Czech Republic as critically endangered. Its distribution in the Bohemia region is restricted to small isolated local populations which are located beyond the northern border of continuous range of the species and are closely related to very specific biotopes. We analysed the distribution of the species both on a national and microhabitat scale and created a predictive model of the species distribution. The most relevant factors influencing the species distribution in the Czech Republic were: annual precipitation, terrain slope, average temperature of the warmest quarter and precipitation in the coldest quarter. On the microhabitat level, individuals selected their immediate vicinity with respect to elevated stones/tree stumps, shelter availability and a proximity to shrubs. Places with high percentage of grass and high vegetation were not preferred. Furthermore, we analysed distribution of selected reptile species ecologically interconnected with Lacerta viridis and identified their preferred habitats. Agglomeration of animal feed mixtures

The theoretical part of this work focuses on the description of mechanical properties of compound feed produced in cooperation with Mendel University in Brno. These properties are mainly flow properties, which are crucial for the technological processes of these mixtures. The first part of this work also contains a general information about commonly used shear devices. Jenike's Shear Cell and Rheometer FT4 from company Freeman Technology are described in more detail. Because of the complexity of the behavior of these materials, their properties are mostly found the experimental way, which is the main topic of the practical part of this work. In this section you can find a description of measurements performed on Jenike's Shear Cell and on the Rheometer FT4. Moreover measurements of strength and length of granules were undertaken. Further the analysis of powder feed mixtures on sieves is described. Materials analyzed were compound feeds for chickens. Mutually they differed in the content of mealworms. Pellets were made from the mixtures and were then also subjected to measurement.

This thesis with title „Proposal of the Company's Financial Plan“ consists of theoretical and practical parts. Theoretical part deals with theoretical ways out of financial planning. In the practical part there are performed the analyses of contemporary state of company. Afterwards there is the financial plan alone made-up for the years 2009 – 2011. The end of my practical part is formed by evaluation of created financial plans.

Interactive Web Page Design Environment

This master's thesis describes an environment for creation and management of interactive web pages. It deals with both the structure design and the visual part. The basic idea is that the page consists of individual elements that can be arbitrarily composed together. There exist several kinds of such elements: interactive, content, database and informative elements. Furthermore, the environment includes tools for account management, access control, database administration, auditing, multilanguage support and some more.

Implementation of algorithm for energetic material measurement in FPGA device

In the text of the master´s thesis, it is at first briefly referred about Energetic Material Measurement topic in general. Emphasis is placed especially at the description of the Velocity of Detonation and short analysis of selected measurement method. The most significant part of the paper is dedicated to the design and description of the system that was created in ISE Design Suite environment using VHDL language. The development was performed with respect to oncoming integration into the board with FPGA and A/D converters. The operation of detection algorithm which was created based on the MATLAB model was verified in the final part of the thesis by simulation of processing of real optical probe signals.

This bachelor´s thesis is a project of semidetached house for two generations of family. House is situated on periphery of Moravany.The building consists of two flats, between them is garage for two cars. Smaller flat is single-storey building, second one is storey and with cellar. Flats are connected conservatory, from here is entrance to garden. Struktural system is Porotherm. Semidetached house is roofed with flat roof, part of this is extensive green roof. Main entrances are in ground floor. Ground floor serves to staying during day. Here are kitchen, and living room. In smaller flat is also bedroom and bathroom. In bigger flat is cast-in-place reinforced concrete staircase. In cellar there are storages, workshop, laundry, utility room and workshop. From cellar is external staircase to garden. Second floor is designed for rest, here are bedrooms with bathrooms and entrance to terrace.
