The Development of the Legal Regulation of Adult Education in the Czech Republic

The thesis The Development of the Legal Regulation of Adult Education in the Czech Republic addresses the legal regulation of adult education in the Czech Republic and its historical, social and international political context. The thesis describes and analyses the following elements: adult education legislation in our country from 1918 to present days, and its strategic, analytical and conceptual documents, key documents of international organizations, adult education legislation of the European Union, in Slovakia and shallowly in few other countries in order to provide a comparison, all based on law theory and andragogic terminology. The conclusion of thesis provides a critical evaluation of the current adult education legislation in the Czech Republic and drafts a new legislation substantively related to all the above components.
The alterations in the attitude of UN conferences towards environmental protection from the perspective of international law

The thesis examines the alterations in the attitude of the UN conferences towards the environmental protection from the perspective of international law. It presents developments and changes in international environment protection in articulation with its fundamental milestones being the UN conferences in 1972 in Stockholm, in 1992 in Rio de Janeiro and in 2002 in Johannesburg. These and other conferences, adopted international documents and treaties that comprise the contemporary framework of the protection of the environment. The thesis explicates the key concepts of the environmental law, describes the role of the UN and other international organizations and summarizes the most significant conferences, events and documents. It concludes with prospects of the future development of the international environmental protection.
Czech as a foreign language in adult education

The topic of this thesis is teaching Czech as a foreign language in adult education. There are wide issues with many partial aspects. The goal of the work is to process the most important of them especially didactical issues. Therefore the thesis is analysing the situation of the subjects of the education - the adult students of Czech as a foreign language and their teachers. It is also analysing the object of the eduaction - the Czech language itself and didactic and methodological aspects. In the practical part of the thesis there is analysis and subsequent comparison of didactic tools and their contents. It is quite broad view of the field of Czech as a foreign language which is also trying to identify some deficiencies and to establish topics suitable for further processing.
