Parallel Versions of General Parsing
Mikita, Tibor ; Kučera, Jiří (referee) ; Meduna, Alexandr (advisor)
This thesis deals with general parsing methods. The author studies the Cocke-Younger-Kasami algorithm and comes up with a design of a parallel version. The motivation of~the author is the acceleration of parsing based on this algorithm. The result is a console application that can determine whether an input string belongs to a language generated by the input grammar or not on the basis of the designed parallel algorithm. For the programming language, C++ was chosen. To achieve parallelism the work of the algorithm was divided among several threads.
Portal for Aggregation of Data from Web Sources
Mikita, Tibor ; Křivka, Zbyněk (referee) ; Burget, Radek (advisor)
This thesis deals with data extraction and data aggregation from heterogeneous web sources. The goal is to create a platform and a functional web application using appropriate technologies. The main focus of the thesis is on the application design and implementation. The application domain is accommodation or lease of apartments. For the data extraction, we use the portal API or a wrapper. Obtained data is stored in a document database. In this thesis, we managed to design and implement a system that allows to obtain rental ads from multiple web sources at the same time and to present them in a uniform way.
Heritage conservation of the remains of human activity in the forest
Sklenář, Karel ; Novák, Jakub ; Kadavý, Jan ; Mikita, Tomáš ; Rybníček, Michal ; Bajer, Aleš ; Kučera, Aleš ; Kolář, Tomáš ; Friedl, Michal
The main objectives of the methodology include: 1. setting the issue in the legislative environment; 2. introducing the processes of disturbance of objects in the forest environment; 3. characterization of modern methods of identification of objects in forests; 4. introducing the practical procedure of identification of objects of human activities in forests; 5. proposing procedures for ensuring the preservation and presentation of anthropogenic remains of human activities in forests for state administration and local government. The methodology was developed in cooperation between experts in the humanities and natural sciences. It seeks to apply and combine procedures of different disciplines. The methodology is recommended to be used with methodology Methods and procedures for the protection of anthropogenic objects of historical human economic activity in forests (Kadavý et al. 2022). The two methodologies are complementary to each other.

Classification of forest vegetation using remote sensing data of high and very high spatial resolution
Riedl, Martin ; Štych, Přemysl (advisor) ; Mikita, Tomáš (referee)
Classification of forest vegetation using remote sensing data of high and very high spatial resolution Abstract The purpose of this work is to classify forest vegetation and create a legend (land cover) by using data of very high (World View - 2) and high (Landsat - 8) spatial resolution for the part of the territory of the National Park of the Šumava. The first part of the work focuses on the description of the methods of per-pixel classification. In the practical part of the methods are applied to the satellite data. For all the results of the classification accuracy is detected. Other parts of the work is the description of the legend of ÚHÚL forestry and legend of Corine land cover. By using satellite imagery (the high resolution and a very high resolution) to classify forest vegetation using the classification methods. And create a map file, that will be most correspond to the reality of the area of Šumava national park. Additional information is drawn from the forest plans ÚHÚL.) Keywords: Classification Landsat - 8, World View - 2, Šumava, Vegetation Cover, Land Cover

The windthrows in Šumava Mts caused by Kyrill hurricane and terrain features
Kolejka, Jaromír ; Klimánek, M. ; Mikita, T. ; Svoboda, Jaroslav
Relationships between the windthrow origin and location on one hand and terrain features (slope, aspect, elevation, curvity etc.) on the other hand were geostatistically derived. While the impact of individual terrain features was statistically low, the complex terrain influence based in the terrain windthrow risk classes was statistically important. Advanced analysis of windthrows using GIS
Mikita, T. ; Kolejka, Jaromír ; Klimánek, M.
Forest damages caused by storm winds are very common event in Šumava Mts. since written history. Growing number of hurricanes here is followed by large wind fall and endangered local economy, nature protection, human life and recreation. Geographical analysis using GIS was applied to identify main factors influencing the location and level of damages.
