Making the Land Cultural
Michálková, Kateřina ; Trejbal, Jan (referee) ; Ambrůz, Jan (advisor)
Cultural Landscape Drinkers for cattle For my bachelor thesis I chose the topic which is dealing with the landscape and man's relationship to it. The selected area is unused rural landscape with almost no use at this moment. The project, among other things deals with the design of site-specific objects, sometimes land art installation. Javorníky valley, between the villages Bohuslavice u Zlína and Salaš, was consisted of a small fields. In 70s they built a fence around the valley with a drinkers inside and they began graze a cattle. Field were changed into pasture for several years . But already in the 80s was pasture canceled and cultural quality of the valley began to deteriorate. Present day, the area is primarily for hunting, cultivated by local Hunting Association. The result looks that the valley is overgrown, most of the meadows are not to mowed and the forest is expanding. The journey disappears. No one other is interested in the local landscape, and is here just a fewwho are attend it. My project uses construction of drinkers which are deployed in the valley. A concrete blocks with metal structures can serve as a basis for sculptural and architectural objects. Places in the landscape that have lost their meaning can be reused. And hopefully it will help to attract the people back into the landscape.
Nothing Around Us
Michálková, Kateřina ; Jezbera, Ladislav (referee) ; Ambrůz, Jan (advisor)
The work Nothing around us is based on reflection of the present. From the beginning it was clear that it will deal with the space. The space around us, the environment in which we live, our perception of the surrounding and our feelings from it. The surrounding world is one, but everyone perceive it in their own way because our ideas about the world are different. The Nothing that I wanted to show was always only apparent. Over time, I moved from general considerations of the functioning of the world to explore my own place in it. I focused on myself, on my own feelings and needs, perhaps for the first time in my work. Desire for solitude, peace, freedom from all around was the strongest one. To be somewhere, where I do not perceive anything around me, opens my inner space and allows me to explore happening in it Staying in absolute darkness reminds of already forgotten memories. Mind is able to create the illusion of nonexiatent light. I tried to transfer This state to the light installation in the former factory Mosilana in Brno.
Chemical composition of wine produced from PIWI cultivars
Michálková, Kateřina ; Vítová, Eva (referee) ; Pořízka, Jaromír (advisor)
This diploma thesis deasl with the chemical charakterization of wine from selected PIWI varieties. The theoretical part describes the general origin and reason for breeding PIWI varieties, a closer characterization of selected three PIWI varieties, Johaniter, Hibernal and Solaris. The next part is devoted to the description of analytical methods that were used to determine the chemical characteristics. The experimental part is developed to the determination of chemical characteristics, namely general characteristics such as alcohol, total phenols, phenolic substances, volatile substances and elemental composition. The results show that are differences between wines from selected PIWI varieties in therms of chemical composition. The most represented organic acid was in the range of 735,1-1286,2mg/l malic acid. This was followed by acetic in the range of 100-400mg/l. The antioxidant activity was determined in the range of 0,2988-0,9683 mmol/l of Trollox and content of total phenols 273,5-390,3mg/l. Of the phenolic substances, gallic acid was the most represented, ranging from 6,9-13,9mg/l. As another, abundant phenolic substances, catechin in the range of 1,6-6,0mg/l was detected. Of the determined elements, phosphorus in the range of 165,4-450,5mg/l was the most represented. Representatives of ethyl ester, ethyl acetate, decanoic acid ethyl acetate and hexanoic acid ethyl ester, were detected as the most abundant volatiles. From the measured data it was evident that wines from PIWI varieties different from standard varieties, especially in the profile of aromatic substances.
Determination of organic acids in wine
Michálková, Kateřina ; Mravcová, Ludmila (referee) ; Řezáčová, Veronika (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with determination of organic acids in wine by capillary zone isotachophoresis method. The theoretical part is devoted to the properties of wine, its composition, its benefit to human health and capillary zone isotachophoresis and its practical use. The practical part deals with determination of organic acids in wine by capillary zone isotachophoresis. Organic acids are determined in three phases of white and red wine production.

Somatic Phrasemes in Turkish and Czech
Michálková, Kateřina ; Malečková, Jitka (advisor) ; Bielický, Viktor (referee)
This master thesis deals with "somatisms" (i.e. names of human body parts) in language. It uses the example of two distant and unrelated languages - Czech and Turkish - to explore conceptualization of human body and its parts in phraseology, and possible differences that may occur across languages and cultures. This thesis consists of two key parts: a quantitative comparison and a qualitative comparison. In the first part, the frequency of individual somatisms and respective words is measured and compared in phraseology of both languages. The second part is a qualitative analysis of head - the most frequent somatism in both Czech and Turkish. The analysis and comparison are based on the perspective of cognitive linguistics, more specifically on the approach called "linguistic picture of the world" and related "profile theory".
Effect of yoga on postural stability in patients with multiple sclerosis
Michálková, Kateřina ; Pánek, David (advisor) ; Malá, Jitka (referee)
Title: Effect of yoga on postural stability in patients with multiple sclerosis Objectives: The aim of this theses is to determine the effect of yoga practice on postural stability and potential influence on stability during gait in patients with multiple sclerosis. Secondary aim of the theses is to evaluate the effect of pranayama, asana and relaxation practice on fatigue and anxiety in these patients. Methods: There were 8 patients with clinically diagnosed multiple sclerosis and EDSS ≤ 5 without any previous experience with yoga in the research. Patients participated in 3-month yoga program, which contained 90 minutes guided classes once a week. Each class consists of pranayama, asana sequence and relaxation. In addition patients also practice at home twice a week at least for 30 minutes. The following evaluations were performed at study entry and after 3 months of yoga practice. Postural stability was evaluated using computerized dynamic posturography Smart EquiTest Neurocom and its test protocols: Adaptation Test (ADT), Sensory Organisation Test (SOT), Motor Control Test (MCT), Limits Of Stability (LOS) and Unilateral Stance (US). Subjective perception of stability was evaluated using standardized questionnaires Falle Efficacy Scale International (FES-I) and Activities specific Balance...

It then deals with aseptic necrosis of the femoral head and its treatment options. It maps various types of total hip joint replacements, operative approaches, indications, contraindications, and operative complications. A detailed description of physiotherapeutic care for patients with the diagnosis is also included. The second, specialised part, deals with the casuistry of a patient diagnosed with aseptic necrosis of the femoral head who has undergone total hip joint replacement. It includes the anamnesis, the entry kinesiological analysis, which served as the base for short and long-term therapy goals, the process of the individual therapeutic units, and the final kinesiological analysis. The second part concludes with the evaluation of the therapy results, in which...
