Analysis of attacks on (micro)chips and development of enhancement of their robustness/security

S využitím mikročipů se dnes setkáváme prakticky na denní bázi, od jednoduchých zařízení pro domácí použití až po utajované vojenské vybavení. V mnoha případech navíc svěřujeme těmto zařízením velmi citlivá data, jako i v případě elektronických dokladů - otisky prstů, fotografie obličeje, osobní data; a v některých případech například i obraz oční duhovky. Ověření deklarované funkčnosti a míry zabezpečení takových mikročipů se tak stává žádanou službou. V rámci této disertační práce prezentujeme experimentálně ověřený proces mikroskopické analýzy mikročipů proveditelný v nízkonákladovém režimu. Popsaný proces jsme poté demonstrovali na čipu z českého biometrického pasu - od získání čipu z plastové karty až po jeho analýzu na základě získaných mikroskopických snímků. V rámci analýzy jsme prozkoumali a porovnali různé metody bez strojového učení potenciálně využitelné k rozpoznávání logických elementů. Dále jsme provedli zhodnocení aktuálních hardwarově orientovaných útoků na mikročipy. V návaznosti na toto zhodnocení jsme navrhli možná protiopatření zaměřená primárně na ztížení procesu mikroskopické analýzy.

Performing a Relay Attack on Mifare Smart Cards

This thesis deals with performing a relay attack on MIFARE smartcards while using off-the-shelf readers only. These readers are not designed for such attacks therefore implementation of the attack that would succeed against every smartcard was not possible. Since various attacks on smartcards have already been implemented, I have focused on the latest and still insufficiently explored card MIFARE Ultralight C. Relay attack has been implemented with simplified emulation of 4-bytes long UID and successfully tested on MIFARE Ultralight C. With the use of other readers it should be possible to perform attack also on other cards like MIFARE Plus, Desfire and SmartMX. For the purpose of cloning MIFARE Classic open-source tools are introduced.

Automated Web Page Categorization Tool

Tato diplomová práce popisuje návrh a implementaci nástroje pro automatickou kategorizaci webových stránek. Cílem nástroje je aby byl schopen se z ukázkových webových stránek naučit, jak každá kategorie vypadá. Poté by měl nástroj zvládnout přiřadit naučené kategorie k dříve nespatřeným webovým stránkám. Nástroj by měl podporovat více kategorií a jazyků. Pro vývoj nástroje byly použity pokročilé techniky strojového učení, detekce jazyků a dolování dat. Nástroj je založen na open source knihovnách a je napsán v jazyce Python 3.3.

Microscopic Analysis of Smart Cards

The Bakchelor's thesis is aimed at description of protection features of smart cards. It introduces technology of card and anatomy of the chip itself. Further can be found transparent list of concrete security features. This works includes a library for anotation of logic elements. The thesis contains the design, implementation and interface of this library.

Advanced Methods for Blocking of Inappropriate Content in a Mobile Web Browser

This work describes actual state of open-source browsers on the Android platform and compares their features. It describes webpage classification problem and methods how to detect porn websites. It also shows a design of a system for blocking and detection of webpages with adult content and its implementation. For pornography detection there were used text based methods but also methods based on detection in images from web page with deep learning. Implemented solution was tested with experiments and described. The last chapter contains summarization of this work and proposal of improvements.

Administration of DNS Servers for FreenetIS Project

The goal of this bachelor's thesis is to introduce an alternative option of DNS servers management using graphical interface. In this thesis it is implemented a graphic user interface for DNS servers, zones and records management and connection of a DNS server to a network management system. ISC BIND 9 software is used as a DNS server and management interface is implemented to open-source project FreenetIS. Connection of both parts is made by a script, which continuously updates DNS configuration on a server.

Algorithm Animation in Flash

The main goal of this bachelor's thesis is to discuss and demonstrate possibilities of an algorithm animation within Adobe Flash platform. The second chapter contains a RIA technologies survey including a short review of the whole area. Another chapter is devoted to visualization in general consequently followed by my own implementation. An evaluation of the entire work and motivation for further development can not be certainly missed out.
