Gravitational sources in the vicinity of black holes
Kotlařík, Petr ; Semerák, Oldřich (advisor) ; Hackmann, Eva (referee) ; Mach, Patryk (referee)
Black holes are among the most intriguing objects in the Universe. When isolated and stationary, they are described by the simple Kerr(-Newman) metric. However, astro- physical black holes are seldom isolated; in fact, we can only know of them through their interaction with the environment. Consequently, the actual gravitational field differs from the Kerr(-Newman) ideal. This thesis investigates the influence of the environment on the gravitational field of black holes. In the stationary (or static) and axially symmet- ric setting, we derive several analytical models describing a black hole surrounded by a disc or ring. The static problem is solved exactly, yielding the metric in closed form in some cases. Besides the basic physical properties of the results, we analyze the scalar- field quasinormal modes in such a deformed black-hole geometry. Our findings indicate a universal behaviour of the QNM response, which may help in distinguishing the envi- ronmental effects from those of modified theories of gravity. In the stationary case, we employ perturbation theory in the tetrad formalism. By introducing the Debye potential, we find the electromagnetic field of a ring source on the rotating black-hole background. We conclude with a discussion of similar treatment of gravitational perturbations. 1

Thin plasma polymer films on metal substrates
Mach, Pavel ; Salyk, Ota (referee) ; Přikryl, Radek (advisor)
The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on surface treatments, their evaluation from the point of view visual properties, plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition and analysis of thin layers prepared by plasma polymerization. The experimental part of the thesis deals with surface treatment of stainless steel AISI 304. Thin layers of pp-HMDSO (plasma-polymer) and of DLC are deposited on the steel´s surface for the purpose of preparing transparent layer, which protect steel´s surface against of making finger prints visible. As an objective method is chosen an immersion test in artificial sweat solution according to standard ČSN EN ISO 105-E04. Evaluation of the test is measured by a gloss-meter and by a colorimeter. Prepared layers are identificated by FTIR method.

The third chapter deals with the deposits in the internal combustion engines and their reduction using detergent additives. The fourth chapter focuses on the types of wear and places where arise. This chapter also aims to prove the positive effect of additives on the engine components service life. The last chapter focuses on the fuel consumption and importance of additives in world fuel consumption.
Design of Turbine Safety Cover for Turbocharger
Mach, Petr ; Kudláček, Petr (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the issue related to the burst covers of turbochargers, followed by the design of the safety cover for turbine housing, which works as a protective barrier in case of possible destruction of the turbocharger rotor. The design is created according to current knowledge from the containment testing and requirements for the highest level of safety during turbocharger operation. In this diploma thesis, there are made 2 new variants of burst cover. The first aims at a lower purchase price and it is suitable for applications where it is not necessary to have the highest protection level. The second variant aims to face the strictest conditions and uses reinforced walls, which makes it a more expensive product. For both designs of the burst cover, there is made an analysis of vibrations due to long-term trouble-free operation, which is followed by further modification of the design. In the last part, burst covers are checked for high-cycle material fatigue. The output of this diploma thesis are therefore two new designs of the safety covers that are suitable in terms of vibrations caused by the internal combustion engine.

- Praha, 2011 - 163 s. Abstract The residences of the Czech and Moravian nobility were form way back symbols of power, representativeness and wealth. As well as it happened in the case of the castle buildings of the Rožmberks and the Lords of Hradec in Jindřichův Hradec and in Telč. Rows of Vlachs and other masters, who transformed the character of the then towns in the new renaissance direction according to the desires of the investors and the then construction trends, were coming not only in these places. The names of Vlachs, among which the front place takes Antonio Ericer, Baldassare Maggi, Antonio and Benedetto Domenico Cometta of Giovanni Maria Facconi, ranked in their times not only among the front representatives of construction acts in the dominion of the Rožmberks and the Lords of Hradec in the south of Bohemia and Moravia, but also among the significant masters of the Czech and Moravian architecture ot the 16th and 17th centuries. The to-this-day preserved remarkable palaces and castle compounds are still surrounded with lack of...

Carlo Valmadi (about 1550 - 1620) - a Renaissance architect in Trutnov region Theme of this bachelor work is a summary of Carlo Valmadi's building activities. This Italien Renaissance architect worked on Valdštejn lordship - Hostinné steam - from 1572 to 1620. This bachelor work is devided into several chapters. The first chapter describes a coming of Northern Italien builders to Bohemia, in the concrete to Prague. It speaks also about situation in Italy, which starved inhabitants of Northern Italien region into migration to Middle Europe. Next chapter discourses Carlo Valmadi's life. His life is still very unclear and we don't have enough information about him. The second part of this chapter describes Valmadi's coming to Bohemia. Another part speaks about building conditions in Renaissance Prague, especially about Rožmberk and Lobkovic palaces. These two remarkable buildings are connected mainly with Italien builders. And also Carlo Valmadi probably joined in building of Lobkovic palace. Then the chapter discusses coming of this builder to Hostinné region. He came there during rule of Jiří Valdštejn. Jiří Valdštejn's wife Marie Magdalena Lobkovic probably knew Walmadi's work and it's possible, that she invited Valmadi into this region. Marie Magdalena's father was a builder of Lobkovic palace...
