Properties and micropurity of steels produced using vacuum metallurgy

This master thesis contains analysis of metallurgical quality of medium alloyed steel from the perspective of microcleanliness and content of dissolved gases. Apart from thorough research there are result of three melts from vacuum induction furnace (VCAP-Consarc), from which, conclusions are made. Each of the scrap material types (steel scrap, VD scrap and ESR scrap) had different metallurgical quality and initial microcleanliness, which influenced the final quality of the ingot. Lastly both degassing process and the thermodynamical probability of the reaction of silicon-oxide based sampling pipe with melt has been examined and calculated.

Program Equipment for Computer Support of Measurement

This Bachelor thesis is concerned with the program equipment for computer support of measurement. It treats of the software support of measurement as one of the useful methods of the automatization of measurement and also discusses the date computing as same as the information processing. The Bachelor thesis labours some chosen and more important programs used for the engineering practice and mentions some others opportunities of measurement which are possible and available. At the close of this work there is summary of advantages of computer measurements and you can also find there a comparison of some programs depending on demands on hardware and application.

Diagnostics of rotating parts mounting systems in a wind turbine nacelle

The core aspect of thesis is management of work and diagnostics of wind turbines. It contains an overview of wind energy in Czech Republic and collects a relevant information from international papers and studies regarding the topic of diagnostics and maintenance of main mechanical components located in nacelle of wind turbine. It contains a recommendation for improvement of working conditions of wind turbines and their maintenance, which would lead to decrease of failure rates of the wind turbines main mechanical systems due to the utilization of acoustic emission and high frequency vibrations monitoring. Experimental part of the thesis contains analysis of acoustic emission signal from anonymous wind turbine with maximum energy output of 2000kW in Czech Republic to illustrate the sensitivity of acoustic emission and introduce its principles.
