BACHELOR THESIS ABSTRACT Author: Natálie Bakosová Supervisor: Mgr. Silvie Táborská Title: Role of physiotherapy in preventing injuries of floorball players Abstract: This theoretical-practical thesis focuses on the role of physiotherapy in preventing injuries by floorball players. The theoretical part consists of 6 various topics. The first topic is a general introduction to this sport, its history, rules, and course. The second topic focuses on the analysis of movement aspects typical for this sport, and the third one evaluates the impact of floorball on the musculoskeletal system. Next, the issue of the most common injuries in floorball and their causes are introduced. The fifth topic concentrates on the possibilities of prevention of injuries. The last topic is the role of physiotherapy and its application for intervention in preventing injuries in floorball. The practical part has two aims. The primary one is to create a modified neuromuscular training program (inspired by a Finnish study by Pasanen et al. (2008b)) which is subsequently applied to the players. The program is used as a physiotherapist intervention for the prevention of injuries. The practical use of this program was tested in three case reports of players from the floorball team TJ Sokol Dobříš. The secondary aim is to map the presence...

BACHELOR THESIS ABSTRACT Author: Jan Imramovský Supervisor: Mgr. Jakub Jeníček, Ph.D. Title: Physiotherapy in patients with medial epicondylitis of sports-related etiology. With a focus on baseball players Abstract: The bachelor thesis is of a theoretical-practical type. The thesis deals with problematics of medial epicondylitis in baseball players. Medial epicondylitis is a widely known condition. However, baseball players are atypical population with atypical needs in terms of specific approach in prevention, treatment and returning to sport. The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis provides in three parts a comprehensive insight into studied area. The first part describes relevant anatomy, histology nad kinesiology of the elbow. The second part contains an introduction into baseball as a game and in particular its most specific motion, the pitiching motion. Part three discusses the epidemiology, etiopatogenesis, clinical picture, diagnostics and both conservative and radical approach to treatment of medial epicondylitis. The practical part of the thesis has two objectives. The main goal was to develop an intervention manual for the physiotherapy treament of medial epicondylitis in baseball players. This manual offers a guidance for a complex physiotherapeutical treatment of this condition and a return...

BACHELOR THESIS ABSTRACT First name and surname: Nathalie Stehlíková Supervisor: Ing. Kristýna Plevová Title of the bachelor thesis: Prevention of damage of the posterior tigh muscles in active football players Abstract: This bachelor thesis deals with prevention of damage of the posterior tigh muscles in active football players, also known as hamstrings. The aim of this thesis is to create a training unit to stretch and strengthen posterior thigh muscles. Furthermore, to create information brochure about before and after training preparations. This thesis is both theoretical and practical. Theoretical part deals with football, skeletal muscle anatomy and detailed anatomy of posterior thigh muscles, risk factors leading to injuries, injuries of posterior thigh muscles, it's treatment and therapy. A considerable portion of this thesis is focused on return to training process, prevention of the injury, regeneration and compensation exercises. Eight probands of AC Sparta Praha took part in the practical part. They were randomly divided into experimental group, which did the chosen exercises and control group, which only received information brochure but did not participate in the exercises. As a part of the entrance and exit testing, evaluation of shortened muscles, range of motion, modified muscle test and...
Use of vestibular rehabilitation in patients after stroke
Vícenová, Veronika ; Slámová, Adéla (advisor) ; Kozel, Jakub (referee)
BACHELOR THESIS ABSTRACT Author: Veronika Vícenová Supervisor: Ing. Bc. Adéla Slámová Title: Use of vestibular rehabilitation in patients after stroke Abstract: The thesis focuses on the application of Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy (VRT) in the treatment of Cerebrovascular accident (CVA). Annually, on average 50 thousand patients are hospitalised when diagnosed with CVA, of those only 25 % do not suffer the consequences and fully recover to their former health. Vestibular disorders account for one of the consequences of CVA. Patients suffer from dizziness, imbalance and the fear of falling down. To compensate for the deficiencies, VRT could be availed to improve stability, dizziness intensity, lower the risk of falling, ultimately leading to patient's social and occupational activity return. The thesis constitutes theoretical and practical parts. The former part is divided into 4 sections. The first section discusses the issue of CVA. The second one describes the vestibular system. The third section provides an insight to findings of VRT. The last section summarises the key concepts of postural stability. The practical part contains case history of three patients diagnosed with CVA and related balance disorders. Special rehabilitation program reflecting VRT principles was designed based on patients'...
Biomechanical reflection of the cervicocranial part during frontal impact
Kozel, Jakub ; Jelen, Karel (advisor) ; Heller, Jan (referee)
Title: Biomechanical reflection of the cervicocranial part during frontal impact Objectives: The aim of the work was to analyze in which parameters differs ATD from human participant during frontal impact. Characterize the head movement, compare maximal post impact head speed between ATD and human volunteers and defereneces between volunteer with eye control and without. Methods: Measuring was done with 8 volunteers and ATD (Manikin, 50th percentile man). For each volunteer were done two measurements, first without eye control and second with eye control. ATD was measured twice. It was recorded by Qualisys system, specifically by three optical cameras, on crash simulator. Results were processed in Qualisys Track Manager. There were tracked three markers, two on the body - forehead, shoulder and one on the sledge. Results: Results showed that speed of the head depends on eye control. Volunteer without eye control had higher post impact speed of head (4,94 m/s) than ATD (3,67 m/s) and volunteer with eye contact (3,19 m/s). Quite the same result was observed in change of distance between head and sledge after impact. There was higher value for volunteer without eye contact than for ATD. Keywords: Whiplash, frontal impact, Qualisys, crash simulator, cervicocranial part
