Media Image of the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict in 2021

The bachelor thesis studies the media image of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in the Czech media in 2021. The Defender of the Walls / The Sword of Jerusalem is the name of the armed conflict that took place in the territory of Israel and the Palestinian Authority in May 2021. Although it is the same armed conflict, the two opposing sides call it differently, namely Defender of the Wall by Israel and Sword of Jerusalem by the Palestinian Authority. The media image of the conflict may be similar - same conflict, different media interpretation. Therefore, the aim of the bachelor thesis is to find the frames through which Czech online newspapers (Aktuálně.cz and Novinky.cz) reported on the conflict. First, however, the theoretical part of the thesis introduces how the media construct reality and how framing actually works. Along with this, the theoretical part mentions the existing research on the framing of the Israeli- Palestinian conflict or a search of existing knowledge. The thesis then provides insight into the historical and current context of the conflict between Israel and the Palestinian Authority, which is central to the orientation of the issue. Olga Hepnar's Case in Czech Film: From Reality and Newspaper News to Movie and Movie Reviews

The master thesis called "Olga Hepnar's Case in Czech Film: From Reality and Newspaper News to Movie and Movie Reviews" deals with the case of Olga Hepnar who deliberately drove the truck into a group of people at a tram stop in the Obranců míru street on Tuesday 10th of July and killing eight of them. For her crime, Hepnar was sentenced to death and was executed in March 1975 as the last woman in Czechoslovakia. The movie called I, Olga Hepnar by directors Petr Kazda and Tomáš Weinreb is based on these true events. This thesis focuses on this movie and its portrayal of to reality, as well as on the reviews that have been published in selected journals and professional film magazines after the premiere of the film. The thesis also presents the coverage of topics in selected journals in the week following the crime, from July 10 to July 17, 1973. The aim of the thesis is to describe in a comprehensive way the results of the Olga Hepnar crime story, which has entered the history of Czechoslovakia.
Specifics of radio broadcasting for children (with special emphasis on radio broadcasts on Radio Junior)

Bachelor thesis " The Specifics of Radio Broadcasting for Children with Special Emphasis to Public Service Radio Station Radio Junior" characterizes current situation and range of public service broadcasting for a children's audience. The first chapter describes the target group in terms of psychology, sociology and pedagogy, deals with the influence of media on children and proposes laws and documents that serve to protect children from the media. The second chapter presents crucial moments in the history of children's broadcasting. The third chapter presents the current form of radio public service broadcasting for children at stations Radio Junior and Czech Radio - Dvojka. In the final chapter is analyzed a selected show from the program of Radio Junior, in terms of its structure, genre, topic and language.
