Use of myofunctional therapy in the speech therapy in preschool children

The topic of this bachelor thesis is the use of myofunctional therapy in speech therapy intervention in preschool children. The bachelor thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part of the thesis consists of three main chapters. The first chapter deals with the ontogenetic development of speech, language, and communication. The chapter introduces both the pre-speech stages of speech development and the stages of speech development, the linguistic planes are discussed in detail in terms of speech ontogeny. In the second chapter, we define impaired communicative competence and present its classification in terms of symptomatology and etiology. The chapter includes the most common types of disorders of speech development in children for whom we encounter the use of elements of myofunctional therapy. Special attention is paid to myofunctional disorders. The third chapter introduces diagnosis and techniques and the use of myofunctional therapy in speech therapy intervention. Development of communication skills in children with specific language impairment

The bachelor thesis focuses on speech therapy, specifically on the development of communication skills in children with developmental language disorders. The theoretical part includes two chapters. The first chapter deals with the theoretical background and then the developmental language disorder itself. The theoretical background defines communication, speech, and language, and describes the development of speech, language, and communication, as well as impaired communication skills. The etiological classification of impaired communicative ability is also briefly mentioned. At the end of the chapter, neurodevelopmental disorders, their common features and classification, diagnosis and therapy are defined. The second chapter deals with developmental language disorder. Development of language skills in early-age children

The topic of this bachelor's thesis is a development of language skills in early aged children, thus children up to the age of three. The main goal of this thesis is the analysis of a development of language skills in early aged children. The theoretical part of the thesis has two chapters. The first chapter presents the theoretical basis for the issue of language development, the difference between speech and communication as such and describes the production of sounds. Furthermore, there are the basic concepts of the nervous system important for the creation of speech presented in the first chapter. The six cranial nerves (trigeminal nerve, facial nerve, glossopharyngeal nerve, vagus nerve, hypoglossal nerve and vestibulocochlearis nerve) and their influence on speech and hearing production are listed here. The second chapter of the theoretical part of this work is devoted to specific periods in the development of language skills in the early years of the child. The prenatal period is presented here, followed by the screaming period, the pre-speech period and then the period of the first words. The speech comprehension period is listed next. The main topic of the bachelor thesis supports the development through the stimulation of auditory perception in early childhood. The thesis consists of three chapters, two of them are theoretical and the last one is practical. The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis defines basic terms such as speech, language, and communication. The bachelor thesis deals with the support of children with developmental language disorder in preschool education. The thesis is divided into theoretical and empirical parts. The first chapter introduces the theoretical background, it describes the development of speech, language and communication and clarifies these terms. This chapter then focuses on developmental language disorder, its terminology, classification, etiology, symptomatology, diagnosis and therapy. The second chapter discusses the preschool education system, legislation, the goals of early preschool education, and support options. Counseling facilities and support measures are defined and described, with particular attention to the concepts of the individual education plan and the teaching assistant. Speech Therapy Intervention for Bilingual and Multilingual with Speech and Language Disorders

The thesis in the field of special education and speech therapy focuses on the issue of speech therapy intervention for bilingual and multilingual children with impaired communication abilities. The theoretical part characterizes the psychomotor development in intact monolingual children. Additionally, attention is given to bilingualism and multilingualism in relation to the development issues in early childhood and preschool age, as well as interventions for these children with impaired communication abilities. The empirical part employs qualitative research methods. It describes the process of selecting respondents, the methodology of the research survey, and its progress, as well as the characteristics of the research sample. This was consisted of preschool and early school-aged children with communication disorders from bilingual and multilingual backgrounds. Individual case studies of the observed children provide a clear overview of the research sample. The risk of learning disability in preschool children with communication disorders

This bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of the risk of specific learning disabilities based on the partial function deficits in preschool children with communication disorders. The bachelor thesis consists of two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part describes the terminology closely related to communication disorders. In addition, the thesis defines and clarifies the terminology of specific learning disabilities, their subdivisions as sell as describes the deficits of the partial function deficits, which are related to them. In the practical part, the course of the research investigation is described, and the analysis of the results is also carried out. The qualitative research was conducted in a preschool institute, and with the consent of the legal guardians of the participating children, individual anamneses of each children were taken. Bakalářská práce se zabývá rozvojem sebevědomí při komunikaci u dětí prvního stupně s narušenou komunikační schopností pomocí arteterapie. V úvodní kapitole je podrobně popsána narušená komunikační schopnost a jaký má vliv na osobnost dítěte. Je zde kladen důraz na sebevědomí v komunikaci u osob s NKS. Druhá kapitola se zaměřuje na arteterapii. Popisuje jednotlivé formy, fáze setkání, metody, vymezuje cíle arteterapie a konkrétně arteterapii u osob s NKS. V poslední části je navržen arteterapeutický program cílený na rozvoj sebevědomí při komunikaci. Je rozvržen detailně do deseti setkání a zohledňuje specifické potřeby dítěte. Postupuje dle náročnosti. Hlavním cílem navrženého programu je nejen rozvoj sebevědomí při komunikaci, ale také odreagování a rozvoj fantazie.
