Entrance knowledge and ideas about the Regions of Czech Republic of pupils of younger school age

The diploma thesis deals with the entrance knowledge and ideas that pupils of younger school age have about the regions of Czech Republic before their own teaching in national studies classes in the fifth grade of primary schools. Data collection was carried out through a research survey at elementary schools in the Vysočina Region and the South Bohemian Region. Third and fourth graders filled out questionnaires that explored their complex ideas and knowledge. Part of the analytical part was also comparison of the differences between individual years, gender, size, location and type of investigated schools and the source of information. The result of the thesis is an educational material "Z kraje do kraje" with a methodical manual focused on critical thinking using the E-U-R method. This can assist elementary school to teachers to facilitate a more active approach for pupils rather than approaching the subject matter through constructive thinking. The conclusion of the diploma thesis talks about the confirmation or refutation of established hypotheses.

Coping strategies in bikini fitness competition

This bachelor thesis titled Coping Strategies in Bikini Fitness Competition discusses one of the contemporary phenomena in the female bodybuilding category - Bikini Fitness. This category is continuously increasing in popularity within girls and women of different age ranges and levels of experience mainly due to the growing influence of the current social trends and media. Considering the combination of the physical and modelling requirements with the requirement of preservation of femininity, Bikini Fitness can be seen as a rather specific category. The author of this qualitative-oriented thesis mainly focuses on the assessment of the competitor's motivation, experience, and the subjectively perceived challenges rendered within the category and the respective coping strategies. Moreover, the author examines the competitor's functioning during particular periods of the contest season in regards to family, employment, study and social life demands. This examination leads to the identification of different approaches and methods adopted by the competitors and their subsequent comparison which highlights their effectiveness or ineffectiveness and the potential consequences. Perception of Germanisms by young Czech generation

There have been a few papers about the German language and the acceptance, which deal with the reception of Germanism by the younger generation. Czech language is, as other Europe's languages, enriched by Anglicisms, but Germanism can be still found by the Czech informal and technical language. However their frequence comes down. This bachelor thesis will deal with the thesis (Trost, Povejšil) which says, that there is dispraise of understanding and active knowing of Germanism. For this purpose was made a research in the area of technical language in the building industry, and its terminology. The result of this research showed, that the Germanism are in the recession by the younger Czech generation and by which means, that the thesis of Trost und Povejšil was confirmed.
