Ecology of butterflies in anthropogenic landscape

The dissertation thesis contains six original papers dealing with an influence of isolation, fragmentation and habitat loss on present cultural and urban landscape. Conclusions are based from studies of one species to those of whole butterfly communities. The first two papers deal with autecology of The Hermit (Chazara briseis) from its last viable population in the Czech Republic. During the last 20 years, it retreated from the republic, and recently it is classified as nearly extinct. The papers point to reasons of the rapid decrease: specialized life strategy and habitat losses. Due to high mortality of long-lived females, this species requires the compensation by high population size in large habitats. The next paper refers to habitat requirements of The Hermits' caterpillars. Local habitat conditions at study sites were noticeably similar to the conditions at German localities, at which this species is now practically extinct. Following two papers study an influence of urbanization on butterfly communities in 25 Prague reserves and parks. The first paper points to diversity changes during 30 years and their causes. Company Performance Measurement

This master thesis is focused on performance evaluation of company AGRI CS a.s., namely the evaluation of financial and business performance using benchmarking. The theoretical part deals with some approaches and methods suitable for the company performance evaluation with an emphasis on benchmarking. The main part however is in-depth case study on business performances of selected company. The core part is financial performance benchmarking based on public data from financial annual accounts. For this purpose I use database Amadeus. I analyzed most of the performance indicators for an average of industry branch as well as for 14 most intense competitors. Final remarks of the thesis discuss the main findings and conclusions of the whole performance analysis. On top of that I present possible recommendations for the selected company in order to enhance or even eliminate identified weaknesses.

Comparison of material supply concepts using computer simulation

The aim of the diploma thesis is to design of a new concept of material handling from the automatic warehouse to the manufacturing area and comparison with the original concept using computer simulation. The simulation model is created in Plant Simulation software from PLM Software. Part of the thesis is to compile a matric of experiments and perform simulation experiments in order to compare both concepts.

Superior detached house

Bachelor’s thesis processes project documentation of a superior detached house. Object is situated in Perknov which is one of the parts of Havlíčkův Brod. The house is designed for a family of four for year-round occupancy. A garage for two cars is the part of the house. Detached family house has two floors and no basement. The house has rectengular shapes and flat roof. It’s a brick building made of ceramic system Heluz. The object is located in slightly hilly terrain from north to south.

Design of Steam Boiler

This thesis is focused on design of black coal combustion boiler of 160t/h output. It consists of several parts. First, stechiometric calculations and enthalpy of air and gas are made, then heat balance of boiler and the boiler losses are calculated, and also thermal efficiency is determined. In next step, the combustion chamber is designed and its thermal calculation is made. Then, each of heating surfaces are designed, and in the last step overall energy balance of the boiler is checked. The scheme of pressure system and design documentation added.

The Influence of a Service Quality upon Customers' Satisfaction

Main target of this diploma thesis is finding out what is important for a visitor of a poker club and what motivates him to come back again. For this reason I shall be measuring customer satisfaction in critical areas of interest before and after the quality service incrementation. In first part of my thesis I am going to focus on theory and selection of a proper methodology of a customer-satisfaction related measuring. In the next part I shall do the actual measuring make an examination of the results.

Critical Analysis of the Entry Strategy to the German Market Comparing to the Entry Strategy Applied During Expansion Into the Polish Market

Tato diplomová práce se věnuje kritické analýze vstupu společnosti Student Agency na německý trh a srovnání s analýzou vstupu téže společnosti na trh polský. V první části se práce zabývá teoretickými poznatky k jednotlivým metodám analýzy provedeným v praktické části této práce. Další část se poté zabývá samotnou společností Student Agency jako takovou, jejím vývojem a všemi službami, které poskytuje konečným zákazníkům. Praktická část poté analyzuje společnost pomocí několika různých marketingových metod, mezi které patří například Porterův model pěti sil nebo SWOT analýza. V závěru práce shrnuje autor analýzu vstupu na německý trh a zároveň je zde poskytnuto srovnání s analýzou vstupu společnosti na polský trh.

The Bachelor´s thesis assesses the financial situation of the company AGRI CS, a.s. through support information sources and chosen indicators of financial analysis. In the introductory part is presented the chosen methodology for the assessment of the financial situations of the company which is applied in the practical assessment of the financial health of the company. Based on the results of the financial analysis are defined weaknesses in the management of the company. Goal is to define a set of measures to improve the current situation of the company.
