Recondition program for individual after meniscus injury.
Janota, Petr ; Hráský, Pavel (advisor) ; Kaplan, Aleš (referee)
Title: Reconditioning program for individuals after meniscus distortion Student: Petr Janota Supervisor: PhDr. Pavel Hráský, Ph.D. Aims: The aim of the work was to assess the effectiveness of the reconditioning plan on the proband, which is after the injury and subsequent arthroscopy of the knee joint. The effectiveness of the reconditioning plan will be evaluated by improving the values in the pretest and posttest using a diagnostic test battery including postural stability, run analysis, muscle strength and kinesiological analysis. Methodology: After an initial literature search and subsequent pretest, a reconditioning program was compiled, which was then applied to the proband. During this reconditioning plan, body composition parameters were monitored using Tanita MC-980, strength of knee extensors and flexors using HumacNorm, locomotion symmetry using 3D running, lower limb circumference parameters, shortened muscle groups according to Janda. Results: I compared the comparison of pretest and posttest values on a selected proband and I noticed an improvement in the body weight parameter in the body composition parameter. Furthermore, the maximum strength of the knee extensors at the operated leg improved and the proband improved in many parameters in the locomotion symmetry parameter. There was...
Differences in the basic pitch relevant to the perceptual distinction of melodemes in English
Veroňková, Jitka ; Palková, Zdenka (advisor) ; Krčmová, Marie (referee) ; Janota, Přemysl (referee)
As in the case of many other languages, the intonation fulfils certain linguistic functions in Czech. It distinguishes conclusive vs. non-conclusive clauses, declarative vs. interrogative clauses and neutral vs. marked usage clauses. In the case of declarative and interrogative clauses, the intonation is the single distinguishing feature. Structures of the basic patterns to express these linguistic functions were standardized and in general accepted, but not enough is known about their particular realizations. In general, these structure types are realized in the final stress unit of the utterance. It has been confirmed that the intonation courses of some functionally diverse contours are similar and there exist overlaps among them. The perceptual differences between contours can be caused only by the size of F0 excursions. Our research focuses on finding minimal distinctions in F0 excursions which are sufficient to distinguish phonologically different types of sentences. Some structure types can be fully realized on the at least three-syllable stress units, that is why these were chosen to be analysed. The research is based both on synthetic speech and natural one. Two sets of synthetic contours, first containg three-syllable stress units and the second the four-syllable ones, that cover the structure...

Coarticulatory effects of nasal consonants on their segmental context in Czech and English
Skarnitzl, Radek ; Palková, Zdenka (advisor) ; Janota, Přemysl (referee) ; Krčmová, Marie (referee)
This dissertation deals with coarticulatory nasalization in Czech and English. The theoretical part introduces the topic of coarticulation, presents methods used in the research of studies, as well as studies which have analyzed this topic before. In the practical part, the dissertation presents four experiments, which have been largely conducted by means of nasometric analysis. Three experiments analyze vowel nasalance based on segmental and suprasegmental parameters, both in logatoms and connected speech. I was interested in mean nasalance in the respective vowels, as well as in the course of nasalance throughout vowels and vowel-nasal-vowel tokens. In one experiment, I also examine the perceptual aspect of nasality; manipulations of spectral envelope were used to generate the target speechsounds.

An evaluation of erosion risks and design of erosion control measures in selected cadastral area
Janota, Petr ; Janků, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Karel, Karel (referee)
Erosion is exogenous geomorphological process that affects the formation of the Earth's surface since the formation of the Earth's solid crust. This activity, which under natural conditions proceeded slowly, in terms of human generations imperceptibly, in intensively used landscape dramatically accelerated and brought a number of adverse consequences. The aim of this study has been to assess and evaluate erosion risks in selected cadastral area and in the event of an over limit erosion hazard to suggest appropriate erosion control measures to eliminate the increased erosion. The 77 erosion of closed units were examined by a computer program Atlas DMT erosion module, which uses digital terrain model together with data from databases or BPEJ or LPIS. The 14 of them have diagnosed overlimit value wash away the soil. As a basic erosion control measures the change of applied classic crop rotation to crop rotations using soil conservation technologies was considered. After adjusting cropping practices that positively impact factor of the protective effects of vegetation, it was found by erosion Atlas module, six parcels of land with over limited value of soil washes. These lands have suggested the use of technical erosion control measures, for example furrows, grassing thalwegs etc.. On the parcels, where, due to their size, shape or morphology technical measures proved inadequate or ineffective it has been proposed permanent grassing. In the proposals erosion control measures it is necessary to combine the maximum efficiency of measures with condition of ease and minimal restriction of land users. When their making is to be assumed towards the user, because it depends on him only whether the proposed organizational and agronomic measures will be implemented or not. The fundamental problem with these measures is that their implementation is not backed by legislation. I assume that the more acceptable, less restrictive and inexpensive measures will be proposed, the more likely it will be implemented. One of the reasons why even the simple erosion control measures are put into practice slowly and with difficulty is the fact that in the Czech Republic the most of the agricultural land is managed by entities that are not its owners. This fact significantly contributes to the fact that land is viewed merely as a means of production, which must to bring maximum profit only. To improve this situation may also contribute to the establishment and consistent control of the GAEC standards.
The Attitude Analysis of Elementary and Secondary School Students to Romany Population
JANOTA, Pavel
The bachelor thesis briefly describes the fundamental of the attitudes and their formation. It informs the reader about a present situation of Romanies in the Czech Republic, predicates and shortly describes certain problems that Romanies deal with in particular parts of their lives. The theoretical part also briefly describes main aspects of the relation between the majority society and Romanies, informs the reader about a media presentation of Romanies and their present situation and points out the extreme form of the relation of the majority society to Romanies. The practical part contains a respondent informedness analysis about Romanies, their history and present situation and a respondent experience analysis with Romanies. Then there is an analysis of mutual relation among the pieces of information which the respondents have about Romanies and how they evaluate them afterwards. There is an analysis of mutual relation of the pieces of experience that the respondents have with Romanies and how the respondents evaluate Romanies then. Finally, there is an analysis of the sources where the respondents get their pieces of information about Romanies from. The aim of thesis was to find out the attitudes of the young to the Romany population and to analyze some of the influences which can be formative in this process.
Czechoslovakian Press Reaction to the Vatican Council II.
JANOTA, Pavel
The MA thesis briefly describes the history of the Vatican Council II and analyses the reaction of Czechoslovakian press to the Vatican Council II. The theoretical part aims at outlining the history, the course, the results and the importance of the Vatican Council II for the Catholic Church and also for the whole world. The theoretical opening is then reflected in the practical part of the MA thesis. It helps the reader to understand the issue. The theoretical opening pays attention to some important life moments of Pope John XXIII., ``the Council Maker{\crqq}. It focuses on the council idea, the definition of the council goals and setup time work before the council. It follows clarification of some organization issues during the council. It mentions its rule of procedure description. Another part of the theoretical part contains the development of all the council meetings and their results. There is also a list of council documents and evaluation of the Vatican Council II´s importance at the end of the theoretical part. The practical part of the MA thesis contains analysis of newspaper articles, namely from the Rudé právo and the Lidová demokracie dailies, covering the Vatican Council II. The monitored issues were: the space dedicated by the above dailies to the Council, the richness, content variety and balance of the coverage. The aim of the practical part and the MA thesis as a whole was the content analysis of the two 1960s daily newspapers and their reaction to the development and the result of the Council. It also contains content analysis comparison of these two newspapers and also identification of the extent of difference in objectivity and the ideological pressure on the news.
