Didactic elaboration the topic structure of society in the social sciences at upper secondary school

The subject of this thesis is the structure of society and its didactic elaboration. The first few chapters are focused on Czech curriculum documents and three chosen foreign curricula (England, New Zealand, Australia) and provides an analysis of how these documents deal with the subject of the structure of society. The results of these analyses are compared with each other afterwards. The next part of the thesis deals with EU Council recommendations for the development of key student competencies. These competencies are then compared to the approach to student competencies in the Czech curriculum. One chapter is focused on textbooks for upper secondary schools and their approach to the structure of society. This is followed up with a chapter about Czech sociological research going into this subject, the results of these studies are presented here. The last part of this thesis contains teaching suggestions for the education of the structure of society at upper secondary schools. The principles of pedagogical constructivism are explained first, followed up by two activities based on the results of the analyses of curriculum documents and the results of sociological research presented earlier. Ensuring security of online payment services Abstract The thesis is devoted to the topic of ensuring security of online payment services, especially in the context of identification and authentication of the client in the Internet when performing acts related to the provision of payment services. The issue of the customer identity is described especially in the context of know your customer principle governed by legal regulation in the area of combating money laundering and financing of terrorism, and in the context of the obligation to carry out a strong customer authentication (SCA) brought by the PSD2 directive and related RTS. The aim of the thesis is to describe and critically evaluate the legislation in the area of ensuring security of online payment services, meaning the binding legislation, soft law and rules created by entities operating on the payment services market. In this context, the thesis also deals with the question of proportionality of legislation in connection to the positive user experience and the possibility of implementing innovative FinTech solutions. Effect of obstructive sleep apnea on oxidation and transport of fatty acids in skeletal muscle in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus

Sleep apnea syndrome, or sleep apneic syndrome, is a serious illness that causes a high risk of cardiovascular disease development in patients. This disease is characterized by a breathless breathing disorder and falls into a class of disorder that accompanies sleep disturbances. Sleep apnea syndrome (SAS) affects 5-15% of the population, and 50-80% of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) or severe obesity. SAS has a causal contribution to the development of disorders in glucose metabolism and T2DM. Diabetes mellitus type 2 is a complex metabolic disorder in which the organism is unable to process glucose as under normal physiological conditions due to a relative insulin deficiency and simultaneous peripheral insulin resistance. Insulin resistance is eventually compensated for by increased insulin secretion, which leads to the development of hyperglycemia after failure of this compensation. T2DM is very often associated with the presence of obesity, arterial hypertension, dyslipidemia and hyperuricemia. The role of SGK1 in heart

Serum and glucocorticoid-regulated kinase 1 (SGK1) is an enzyme which is encoded by the sgk1 gene. This is a dimer. Generally, SGK1 belongs into the protein kinases, but its structure is somehow different from the other protein kinases, especially in the reaction center, which is related to its activity. SGK1 belongs to the subfamily of serine/threonine kinases. This kinase is activated by insulin or growth factors via phosphatidylinositol-3-kinase (PI3K) and mammalian rapamycin mTORC2. SGK1 plays an important role in inflammatory processes, the proliferation and apoptosis. In heart it helps to increase the abundance of proteins, which has affect on the morphology of ion channels and Na+ /K+ -ATPase. The sgk1 gene plays an important role in cellular stress response. This kinase activates potassium, sodium, chloride and calcium channels, which suggests about the involvement in the regulation of processes such as the cell survival, neuronal excitability and renal sodium excretion. Currently, the most discussed roles of SGK1 are in the heart, kidneys, brain, lungs and gastrointestinal tract.
