Cipher framework
Bureš, Filip ; Lukeš, Dan (advisor) ; Beneš, Antonín (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to create a scripting language and a program (language interpreter), which on basis of these scripts encrypts and decrypts texts. The program is as independent on a concrete operating system as possible. The programming language used to create this program is C (C++ if necessary). The thesis is primarily aimed to substitution and transposition ciphers, the computational difficulty of which does not eliminate practical use of the interpreter for their implementation. Part of the program is the possibility, that users can create their own libraries of functions, which could be used for writing scripts. One of the assumed uses of this system is its use as a basic instructional material for elementary and/or popularizing seminars about encrypting. The interpreter makes it possible to observe the processing of the chosen script and the values of variables (debugging tool). User and programmer documentation (incl. formal language syntax description) is included.
Synthesis and Utilization of Selected Nitrogen Heterocycles
Mikušek, Jiří ; Pour, Milan (advisor) ; Veselý, Jan (referee) ; Bureš, Filip (referee)
Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Inorganic and Organic Chemistry Candidate: Mgr. Jiří Mikušek Supervisor: prof. RNDr. Milan Pour, PhD. Title of Doctoral Thesis: Synthesis and Utilization of Selected Nitrogen Heterocycles The thesis is divided into two parts, both dealing with the synthesis of pyridine and pyrimidine derivatives. The first one is focused on the cyclization of enynes with gold(I) catalysts. Main attention is paid to the synthesis of various acyclic precursors starting from propargylamines, their addition to propiolates and Sonogashira cross-coupling. The mechanism of the cyclization with (TFP)AuCl is then discussed in detail. Prepared dihydropyridines were converted to pyridines or tetrahydropyridines. A precursor of the antidepressant drug paroxetine was prepared. The second part deals with quinazoline alkaloids with pyrimidine moiety and their structural variations towards potential organocatalysts and biologically active compounds. Therein new types of organocatalysts based on the structure of vasicine were prepared and screened on model aldolization and addition reactions. Prepared compounds were tested for bronchodilator activity.
Small games - gobblet - draw strategy
Bureš, Filip ; Majerech, Vladan (advisor) ; Sýkora, Ondřej (referee)
This diploma thesis focuses on finding a draw strategy in the game "Gobblet" and on finding the proof that the game can be a guaranteed draw. "Gobblet" is a board game for two players. The thesis provides the description of algorithms used for finding the proof of the guaranteed draw. The proof was made on a simplified variety of the game (limited to two types of playing pieces only). For this variety of the game, a draw strategy was found; this strategy was confirmed by the means of the above mentioned algorithms. Then, a more complicated variety of the game was tested (limited to three types of playing pieces). For this variety, the proof of the guaranteed draw was not possible to find. The non-success was due to the number of positions the game provides. The proof would not have been possible to make in a reasonable time span. The comprehensive variety of the game (four playing pieces) was not tested for the proof. The thesis merely outlines the strategy which should be used for finding the draw strategy.
The Combination of Organometallic, Transition-Metal Catalyzed, Radical and Carbocationic Reaction Steps to Domino Processes
Jagtap, Pratap Ramling ; Jahn, Ullrich (advisor) ; Tobrman, Tomáš (referee) ; Bureš, Filip (referee)
This work deals with the development of methodology, which couples reactive intermediates of varying oxidation states, in tandem sequences comprising 1,2-organometallic addition/transition metal catalyzed isomerization/Michael addition/SET oxidation/radical cyclization/oxygenation steps in the synthesis of highly functionalized carbocycles. Implementation of this sequence being catalytic in the SET oxidant was studied. 1,4-Diketones were synthesized in a tandem 1,2-addition/ruthenium-catalyzed redox isomerization/enolates oxidation/radical dimerization reaction and results were compared with 1,4-diketones formation via oxidative coupling of ketone enolates. The total synthesis of selective tetrahydrofuran lignans from 1,4-diketones obtained in a tandem addition/isomerization/dimerization reaction is also documented

Cyclization Reactions Mediated by Transition Metals
Matoušová, Eliška ; Pour, Milan (advisor) ; Bureš, Filip (referee) ; Šrogl, Jiří (referee)
Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of inorganic and organic chemistry Candidate: Mgr. Eliška Matoušová Supervisor: prof. RNDr. Milan Pour, PhD. Title of Doctoral Thesis: Cyclization reactions mediated by transition metals Within the framework of this Thesis, several analogues of naturally occurring biologically active pyranones were prepared. The synthetic procedure was based on a Pd-cata- lyzed carbopalladation of enyne precursors with subsequent lactonization. Employing this method, bicyclic pentenolides containing fused nitrogen heterocycle as well as carbocycle were synthesized. The preparation of the corresponding oxygen-containing derivative was not successful. The compounds were tested for their antifungal, anitibacterial and cytostatic activity. The second part of the Thesis deals with synthesis of furans and dihydropyrans via palladium and gold catalysis. A highly efficient method for AuI -catalyzed cyclization of propargyl vinyl ethers to dihydropyrans was developed using tris(2-furyl)phosphine as a ligand and methanol as a nucleophile. This method was employed for the preparation of 15 dihydropyran derivatives in high yields. In the absence of a nucleophile furans were formed in lower yields. Dihydropyrans undergo an as yet undescribed...
