Germany in crisis: the need for a new integration-political strategy during the second Angela Merkel cabinet in the years 2009 - 2013

This aim of the bachelor thesis is the analysis of the crisis of the multicultural Germany, which proclaimed the chancellor A. Merkel in 2010 during the 17th election period during the domination of the lack of the labour force and experts. In the context of the need for economic growth was necessary new integration-political strategy characteristic of bigger openness to the immigrants (so called Willkommenskultur). On the basis of the new strategy should go more people to Germany, who would take a job and start a living there integrated as new members of the German society. Using the method of the discourse analysis, there is examined the political debate of the 17.election period between the years 2009 - 2013, which was focused on the causes of the integration-political crisis and on the possible solutions. The first part is about the historical context of the foreign and integration politics, from the time of the 50s of the 20th century, the time of the recruiting the labour-force, who were seen just as workers, not as new members of the society, which later seemed to be problematic. Asymmetry in Czech-German relationship and dealing with it in the sphere of economic co-operation

The study deals with Czech-German economic relations during 1991 - 2016, viewed from the perspective of the theory of asymmetrical dyads. The Czech-German relationship can be perceived as asymmetrical on the basis of inequality between the political-economic possibilities of Czech Republic (CR) - the weaker and Germany - the stronger. Despite this, there are many common aspects such as foreign policy orientation and the nature of the economy. CR and Germany are in many respects compatible with each other and economically complementary. They have similar culture, are geographically close and there are many transactions between them. At the same time, they are connected by a common past and by overcoming conflicts issues. Despite many qualities of Czech-German relationship, the Czech side has traditionally addressed securing its security, freedom and prosperity. After the fall of the "Iron Curtain", Germany engaged in the political-economic transformation of Czechoslovakia/Czech Republic, which turned into a democratic system with market- oriented economy.
