The Quality of life for drug dependent clients before and after the institutional treatment in Prague

BACKGROUND: Quality of life is defined by WHO as an individual perception of one's own position in life, taking into account cultural aspects of the society and a system of values in which the individual lives, as well as his/her goals, standard of living and interests. Because quality of life measure is strongly a subjective measure, it can only be assessed by the individual himself/herself. AIMS: The aim of this thesis was to compare of the quality of life of drug users before and after institutional treatment. SAMPLE AND METHODS: WHOQOL- BREF questionnaire was employed to collect the data. A research sample consisted of all clients (both men and women) in the institutional treatment at the department of treatment of dependencies at the Clinic of Addictology, The clients filled the questionnaire in before treatment entry or within the first week after treatment entry, and at the release from the treatment. RESULTS: None of the clients was very satisfied with his/her quality of life before treatment. After treatment, the quality of life was perceived as positive rather by women. After treatment, 44% of women found their quality of life good, whereas it was assessed as very good by 13% of women. Optimal production strategy of the chosen company in the area of mechanical engineering

The topic of this diploma thesis is "Optimal production strategy of the chosen company in the area of mechanical engineering" - namely the EUTECH join stock company, or more precisely its toolshop division, which deals with the manufacture of injection moulds, parts and production of special devices for aircraft industry. The aim of the paper is to evaluate, according to the defined factors, what is for the EUTECH join stock company more favourable - invest in purchase of the 5-Axis CNC machining center technology and deal with this process inside of the company or ensure this technology in cooperation with another companies. The thesis is divided into two main parts - theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part, the subjects of operation management theory and production are dealt with. The practical part deals with the production strategy of the EUTECH join stock company, or more precisely of its toolshop division in detail. The company is briefly introduced, the situational analysis of division toolshop is conducted and the production process of the company is examined. The final chapter deals with the use of cooperation in the toolshop division. The main and other factors affecting the choice of "product or sell" strategy are evaluated and consequently is decided which strategy is in case of the 5-Axis CNC machining center technology more favourable.

The topic of this bachelor thesis is 'Marketing strategy of the HACO, spol. s r.o. company', a Czech producer of sanitary and air-conditioning system products. The aim of the paper is to evaluate the current marketing strategy of the company and make possible suggestions for its improvement. The thesis is divided into two main parts -theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part, the subjects of marketing theory and marketing strategies are dealt with. Marketing itself is characterized here along with fundamental processes of marketing management. Individual marketing mix tools are also introduced. The practical part deals with the marketing strategy of the HACO, spol. s r.o. company in detail. The company is briefly introduced and the situational analysis is conducted. The marketing mix of the company is also examined. Consequently, an actual marketing research is carried out in the form of a questionnaire survey. All findings are then summarized in the form of SWOT analysis. In the final chapter, the current marketing strategy of the company is evaluated and possible suggestions and recommendations for improvement are proposed.
