Proposals to Improve Debt Collection in a Business Entity
Blažek, Adam ; Vavrečková, Zuzana (referee) ; Musilová, Helena (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of securing and debt collection. The work is divided into three parts. The theoretical part introduces important juridical terms and receivables from an economic point of view and serves as a basis for processing the analytical part. The analytical part contains an analysis of receivables of a selected business entity and a description of the current strategies of the entity in the recovery and securing of receivables. The last part presents proposals for improving the system of recovery and securing of receivables.
Proposal for the Expansion of a Construction Company Carrying out Earthworks with Heavy Construction Mechanization into the Slovak Market
Blažek, Adam ; Chlebovský, Vít (referee) ; Šimberová, Iveta (advisor)
This master's thesis focuses on the proposal for the expansion of a construction company carrying out earthworks with heavy construction mechanization into the Slovak market. The thesis is divided into four main parts. The first part contains a description of the problem, a definition of the goal of the thesis, the methods used, and the action of the processing. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts of the problem. The analytical part contains a description of the current situation of the company as well as an analysis of the company environment both from the inside and the outside. The final part contains its own proposal for solutions.
Reorganisation and restructuring
Blažek, Adam ; Sedláček, Miroslav (advisor) ; Pohl, Tomáš (referee)
Reorganisation and restructuring Abstract This rigorous work is focused on the issue of reorganization and restructuring. The main goal of the author of this work is to describe some selected current and future remediation processes for entrepreneurs, especially taking into account their real usability in practice. The author specifically focuses on the institutes of reorganization, informal restructuring, and preventive restructuring. In addition to the above, the author considers the advantages and disadvantages of these institutes and critically evaluates their current regulation, while the author complements these critical considerations with de lege ferenda considerations, which aim to improve the functioning of restructuring processes in the Czech Republic. In order to achieve the above-mentioned goals, the author discusses the institute of reorganization in one of the introductory chapters, especially with regard to its actual success and usability in practice, focusing primarily on its current problematic issues. The author also focuses on the institute of the so-called pre-packaged reorganization, due to its consensual nature, which can serve as a source of inspiration for future restructuring institutes, which will have a basis built mainly on consensus between the debtor and his creditors. Efficient video retrieval using complex sketches and exploration based on semantic descriptors
Blažek, Adam ; Lokoč, Jakub (advisor) ; Mráz, František (referee)
This thesis focuses on novel video retrieval scenarios. More particularly, we aim at the Known-item Search scenario wherein users search for a short video segment known either visually or by a textual description. The scenario assumes that there is no ideal query example available. Our former known- item search tool relying on color feature signatures is extended with major enhancements. Namely, we introduce a multi-modal sketching tool, the exploration of video content with semantic descriptors derived from deep convolutional networks, new browsing/visualization methods and two orthogonal approaches for textual search. The proposed approaches are embodied in our video retrieval tool Enhanced Sketch-based Video Browser (ESBVB). To evaluate ESBVB performance, we participated in international competitions comparing our tool with the state-of-the-art approaches. Repeatedly, our tool outperformed the other methods. Furthermore, we show in our user study that even novice users are able to effectively employ ESBVB capabilities to search and browse known video clips. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Non-competition clause
Blažek, Adam ; Tomšej, Jakub (advisor) ; Morávek, Jakub (referee)
Non-competition clause Abstract This thesis deals with the institute of the non-competition clause. The main aim of this thesis is to describe this institute, evaluate how much is the current legislation corresponding to the 21st century's changes and whether it is still applicable in practice. In this work, the author is focusing not only on nowadays problems, but he is also considering historical problems, which he is examining and consequently also analysing properly. The author also offers the reader his solutions and considerations de lege ferenda with the aim of further good development of the competition clause as a functional and important institute of labour law. To achieve these goals, the author in the first part of this thesis gives a brief overview of the historical background of the ban on competitive conduct in the Czech lands, both during the period of employment and after its termination. In particular, the author focuses on the historical context of the emergence of a competition clause and its historical development where we can find an interesting historical paradox, as this institute often worked vividly in practice, despite the obvious outdated legislation at that time. The author wants to emphasize the important role of courts and judges in the development of the competition clause,...

Signature-based video browser
Blažek, Adam ; Lokoč, Jakub (advisor) ; Kruliš, Martin (referee)
In this thesis, we present an effective yet efficient approach for Known-Item Search in video data. The approach utilizes so called feature signatures - simple and flexible visual descriptors based on color distribution. The feature signatures enable to efficiently represent video key-frames and at the same time allow users to intuitively draw simple colored sketches of the searched scenes. In the thesis, we describe in detail a novel video retrieval model and also discuss and carefully optimize it's parameters. To achieve high efficiency, we expose several indexing techniques suitable for the model and empirically evaluate their performance in the experiments. The described model is implemented in C# programming language with simple and intuitive user interface enabling users to~ interactively browse up to tens of hours of video.
