Selection of TED lectures on education (content analysis)

This master's thesis addresses TED, the global phenomenon dedicated to spreading revolutionary ideas worldwide. The aim of this thesis is to find and show correlations between interesting ideas from TED talks - under the tags 'education' and 'teaching', and their potential implementations among the Czech society. Through monographic method I investigate the most significant attributes/trends of the current crisis of the educational systems worldwide and their impact on a teacher - their role as a whole and the perception and acceptance of the goals of their work. These issues are addressed in a discourse about the changes in educational systems in 21st century worldwide and in the Czech Republic. It also explores the interconnections between problems in education and the state of society, its values and philosophical superstructures. One of the sections shows reader a compilation of categorize analyses of individual talks from TED based on their topic and content. The final part revolves around the most common topics from the talks that have direct connection to the current state of the Czech educational system which have been identified through educational research. The specifics of consumer buying behaviour in a particular financial service

The diploma thesis aims to capture the specifics of financial products that mostly affect consumers in the market. In the first theoretical part we encounter terms such as intangibility, inseparability or contingent consumption of financial products. The thesis then incorporates those specifics into the consumer behaviour in financial markets, especially in the purchase decision process. Subsequently, it focuses on the specific situation in the banking market in the Czech Republic, including the market shares of banks as well as the offers of current accounts. The practical part of the work shows through a primary research - conducted by polling Czech consumer of bank accounts - how people not only acquire this financial service but also use it. This section is concluded by a shorter secondary research which uses data from the professional marketing database MML-TGI. Finally, on the basis of previous research findings it formulates conclusions in a form of marketing recommendations for banks.

Finanční analýza společnosti STOCK Plzeň, a.s.

V první části ? metodologické části? se snažím o utříbení současné metodiky finanční analýzy. Jelikož existuje mnoho metod k posouzení finančního zdraví podniku, snažila jsem se zvolit základní, ale přesto dostačující metody. Takové, aby odpovídaly požadavkům a potřebám této práce. Za ?základní stavební kámen? analýzy jsem zvolila horizontální a vertikální analýzu účetních výkazů podniku. Na tu navazuje rozsáhlá poměrová analýza tvořena pěti základními skupinami významných ukazatelů, doplněna rozdílovou analýzou pracovního kapitálu. Závěrem této části se práce věnuje pyramidovému rozkladu vlastního kapitálu, nechybí ani ukazatelé predikce finanční tísně a nezbytností je také srovnání s odvětvím. Druhá část práce ? aplikační část? podrobně studuje finanční situaci zvolené společnosti STOCK Plzeň, a.s. Na tuto společnost aplikuji metodiku probranou v první části analýzy. Moji snahou je především zohlednit všechny významné skutečnosti, které se na trhu udály. Právě ty nám poskytují vysvětlení k vývoji mnohých finančních ukazatelů.
