UV-photochemical generation of volatile selenium compounds for ultratrace analysis by AAS
Rybínová, Marcela ; Rychlovský, Petr (advisor) ; Komárek, Josef (referee) ; Šíma, Jan (referee)
This thesis deals with the study of UV-photochemical generation of volatile compounds (UV-PVG) in connection with atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS). Selenium (Se(IV)) was selected as a model analyte and many experiments were carried out to expand the current sum of knowledge of the topic. The study was commenced by assembling the UV-PVG apparatus in the continuous flow mode. The detection method used was AAS with externally heated quartz furnace atomizer. The focus of the first step of the study was on the construction of the volatile compounds generator (UV-photoreactor) with emphasis on the material used; tubes made of teflon or quartz of different diameters were tested. The construction of the apparatus was followed by optimization of the reaction conditions (the type and concentration of the photochemical agent and other agents, which increase the analytical signal; the carrier gas and the auxiliary hydrogen gas flow rate; the sample flow rate). Eventually, the analytical figures of merit of the selenium determination using the proposed method were found. The results showed that teflon reaction tubes are a good competitor to those made of quartz. The accuracy of the method has been successfully verified by analysis of certified reference material and its applicability has been further tested...

Hlinka, Vladimír ; Šíma, Jan (advisor) ; Voráček, Josef (referee)
Title: Popularity of Online Computer Gaming and Its Relation to People's Lifestyle in European Countries Objectives: The aim of the thesis is to find possible associations between the popularity of online gaming, expressed as the number of players per 1 million inhabitants, and indicators of healthy or unhealthy lifestyles. If a statistically significant relationship between the variables is found, it is appropriate to further investigate the nature and strength of this association and compare the results of the thesis with other research in this area. Methods: Linear regression was used to analyze the secondary data. Pearson and Spearman correlation coefficients and Shapiro-Wilk normality test were used to test the assumptions of the regression analysis. Statistical significance of the data was tested at the significance level α = 0,05. The regression models were constructed after prior testing of the assumptions of the regression analysis using Jamovi. Results: After evaluating the assumptions of the regression analysis, a total of 4 regression models were constructed for the following variables: Smoking, Participation in Cultural and Sporting Events, Working Out and Not Drinking Alcohol. A significant relationship between the independent and dependent variables was observed in the case of...
The Impact of Stadium Attendance on the Phenomenon of Home Advantage in European Football
Radimský, Marek ; Šíma, Jan (advisor) ; Krause, Veronika (referee)
Title: The Impact of Stadium Spectators on the Home Advantage Phenomenon in European Football Objective: The aim of this thesis is to identify the magnitude of home advantage in selected football leagues during the seasons before COVID-19 and in the 2020/21 season, and to determine whether the presence of spectators significantly influences HA. If confirmed, the study will also examine whether the number of spectators is a significant factor. Methods: The magnitude of HA is identified using the method of percentage home point success. To test the significance of the presence and number of spectators on HA, paired and unpaired two-sample t-tests are used, respectively. The normality of input data is verified using histograms and the Shapiro-Wilk test. Visualization of the dataset distribution is conducted using boxplots. Results: The results of all examined leagues collectively show a statistically significant decline in HA during the COVID-19 season compared to the ten-year pre- pandemic average. This finding indicates that the presence of spectators is very important for HA. Conversely, the difference in HA decline between two groups of leagues, categorized by the size of their spectator attendance, was not statistically significant. This suggests that the mere number of spectators may not play a...

Bohuslav, Dominik ; Voráček, Josef (advisor) ; Šíma, Jan (referee)
Title: Media protocols for football stadiums in the top football league of the Czech Republic Objectives: The aim of this work is to create a Media protocol for the club FK Mladá Boleslav. Media protocol is a document that contains key information and rules for media representatives in a given stadium during match day in the highest Czech football competition. The structure of the Media protocol will also serve as a model for other clubs participating in this competition. Methods: The structure of the Media protocol was developed based on an analysis of public and internal documents. The information contained in the Media protocol was obtained through a semi-structured interview. This information was then supplemented by graphically edited photographs taken during a match of the highest Czech football competition and edited in Adobe Photoshop. Results: The result of this work is the Media protocol for FK Mladá Boleslav, which consists of seven sections for media representatives. The sections contain relevant information and rules regarding to the media infrastructure at the FK Mladá Boleslav stadium. The final form of the protocol has been approved by the members of the League Football Association and of FK Mladá Boleslav. The created structure of the protocol will serve as a template for other...
The Optimalization of Regulation in Czech Professional Football
Karel, Ondřej ; Šíma, Jan (advisor) ; Krause, Veronika (referee)
Title: Optimising regulations in Czech professional football Objectives: The main objective of the thesis is to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the regulation of Czech professional football. Another objective was to create a comprehensive set of information on the possibilities of regulation in professional football. Methods: The research was conducted through a combination of comparison, descriptive analysis and in-depth interviews, with the object of interest being the governing bodies of Czech professional competitions and professional clubs playing in the Czech Republic. Results: The research has shown that the level of intervention of governing bodies in Czech football is close to the optimum, as at the moment no instrument has been reliably identified that would provide ideal conditions for the development of Czech football in its entire complex form. More activity should be directed by the FAČR to the area of effective control over youth football, as this is what it largely finances. On the other hand, the management of professional football in adult categories should continue to be of a liberal nature. The FAČR could take the example of the type C criterion from the comparing licensing regulations, the non-compliance with which is not directly sanctioned, but clearly shows the...
Application for HRV analysis

New scenarios with Wireshark in communication technologies
Šíma, Jan ; Dvořák, Jan (referee) ; Jeřábek, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to design and create scenarios that will be used by students as a basis for laboratory exercises in a course that focuses on communication technologies. These scenarios also need to be accompanied by a theoretical introduction that will introduce the topic under discussion to the students. The created scenarios contain additional tasks that are intended for individual work of students. For the teachers there are prepared separate files summarising the correct solution of these tasks. This thesis starts with a theoretical description of used network protocols. First the TCP/IP model is described and then the protocols that belong to this model. The main ones are those that occur in multiple created scenarios, such as TCP, UDP or DNS. The programs and applications that are used in the scenarios are also described. The main program is Wireshark and also the application called Klient DNS. This is followed by a chapter that deals with the drafting of each scenario. The drafts outline what the scenarios goals are. The drafts also list the protocols, programs, and utilities that are used in the exercise. The first scenario contains tasks based on Network Address Translation and its interaction with other protocols, such as the previously mentioned TCP, UDP, and also ICMP and FTP protocols. The second created scenario is dealing and analyzing protocols that try to secure the translation of domain names. Specifically, the DNSSEC extension and also the DoH protocol. The third scenario is focusing more in detail at the function of recursive servers in DNS and DNSSEC communication. The last created scenario explains the planning and allocation of the address space, where again the NAT topic is encountered and the function of routing tables is also explained here.
