Soós, Tibor ; Háze, Jiří (referee) ; Prokop, Roman (advisor)
This work deals with issues of realization of electrical second order filters. The work is dedicated to be a tutorial in design and realization of second order high and low-pass active filters.
Software tool for conversion circuit design from Spice netlist format to graphical format
Forman, Zdeněk ; Prokop, Roman (referee) ; Kadlec, Jaroslav (advisor)
User interface for conversion of circuit connection, which is registred in SPICE netlist format in appropriate graphic presentation, is very interesting. Not a lot of software packages focused on processing of electrotechnic schemes have this interesting option. Generating of graphic representation of netlist is based on analysis of text account of network and location of parts to drawing cloth. These parts are located on the basis of coveted loops of network. System for dislocation contains undefined parts for faster algorithm of dislocation. This kind of software can be used every time when is necessary to create some graphic representation of tested network.
Voltage References in Bipolar and CMOS Process
Kotrč, Václav ; Prokop, Roman (referee) ; Kadaňka, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with precise design of Brokaw BandGap voltage reference comparing with MOS references. There is STEP BY STEP separation and analysis of proposed devices, using Monte Carlo analysis. There are also presented the methods for achieving a lower deviation of the output voltage for yielding device, which needs no trimming.
High-frequency oscillator in CMOS technology
Lang, Radek ; Musil, Vladislav (referee) ; Prokop, Roman (advisor)
This project focus to desing an on-chip oscillator in function as a clock generator. Frequency stability of the oscillator is affected by supply voltage, temperature and process variations. The aim is to propose a clock generator with sufficient frequency stability, low power consumption and a small chip area. This work deals with the types of oscillators and their basic building blocks suitable for our application. It also deals with the study and design options of temperature and process compensation circuit generating the current control, which provides the frequency stabilization of the output signal.
Design of the tunable second order switched capacitor frequency filter
Bragina, Tatiana ; Kledrowetz, Vilém (referee) ; Prokop, Roman (advisor)
Thesis describes analog filters topologies with capability of tuning of the main parameters and the MOSFET-C and switched-capacitor filters are described. With focus to linearity and maximal tuning range optimal topology have been chosen. In work the issue of analog switch design is described and is solved. Design of switched-capacitor low-pass Sallen-key filter in Cadence software was made and simulation results are presented.
Design of the operational amplifier offset auto-compensation
Dula, Přemysl ; Kledrowetz, Vilém (referee) ; Prokop, Roman (advisor)
This work deals with the two-stage operational amplifier with automatic offset compensation. An operational amplifier is designed in Cadence design environment for possible implementation in technology CMOS07. Emphasis work is placed on minimum offset of the operational amplifier and the parameters, that are listed in the assignment of work.
Analog array for programable filter realization
Shadrin, Aleksandr ; Šotner, Roman (referee) ; Prokop, Roman (advisor)
The state-variable analog filter topologies are described. Using the transfer function theory and operational configurations suitable for integration and derivation, a new universal filter topology are proposed. The circuit has been implemented in CMOS technology by using six operational amplifiers, eight analog switches and five programming resistor array. Tunable corner frequencies, quality factors and gain are realized. Using the serial peripheral interface or digital memory can be realized this real-time digitally programmable first- and second-order analog filter with the tunable parameters.
Design of the electronically tunable frequency filters in CMOS technology
Zlámal, Jiří ; Khateb, Fabian (referee) ; Prokop, Roman (advisor)
This master thesis deals with the problematics of CT filters and focuses on Gm – C filter. Three linearisation techniques are listed and compared in terms of linear input range, distortion and retuning. In the practical part – second - order low – pass filter is designed and its tuning capabilities are examined.
Voltage doubler design in 0,25 m CMOS technology
Synek, Ladislav ; Prokop, Roman (referee) ; Radhoštěm, Milan Valenta, ON Semiconductor, Rožnov pod (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design of a partially integrated charge pump in 0.25 micron technology ACMOS. The work is divided into two main parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical section describes in detail various topologies of higher voltage generation of a charge pump and selected methods of regulating the output voltage of charge pumps. The practical part deals with the the actual design of a charge pump together with the arguments for the choice of the TPVD topology and the type of the regulation. Three regulation methods of a charge pump were implemented, tested and are dealt with: Pulse Skip, Constant frequency and PWM. There are 3 sub chapters, each describing a different regulation method, defining all the key elements of the design of such a charge pump and the results of the simulations are discussed. Conclusion of the thesis summarizes the results of the design of charge pumps, comparing them on the basis of the chosen type of output voltage regulation.
Design of low noise Band Gap reference in BCD process
Kadaňka, Petr ; Prokop, Roman (referee) ; Kadaňka, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis focuses on noise analysis of different integrated circuits used for generating temperature stable reference voltage. All noise contributions are studied separately and there is shown a way of their minimization. Circuit using external capacitor with pre-charging system is chosen as the best solution. Output noise of all analyzed circuits is compared and characteristics of final band-gap reference are summarized at the end of the work.
