Amélie Nothomb, écrivain belge contemporain, vedette des médias occidentaux, est un phénomene sociologique tres intéressant. Tout le monde connait son visage et c'est sa personnalité, avant tout, qui fait vendre. Autant qu'elle est jeune, autant elle est fructueuse et auteur a succes. Bien que ses textes soient remplis de caprices postmodernes, sophistiqués et truffés d'allusions a la littérature classique, ils sont estimés par un lectorat le plus large. Elle est analysée dans le milieu académique et lue par les adolescents. Tandis que les critiques de son oeuvre ne sont pas toujours élogieuses, Amélie Nothomb écrit de vrais best-sellers. Ses romans sont adaptés au cinéma, au théatre et meme a l'opéra {Les Combustibles), et traduits dans le monde entier. Mais évidemment la popularité ne signifie pas toujours les qualités artistiques. En quoi consiste le succes de Nothomb ? Nous avons de bons arguments pour ranger Amélie Nothomb parmi les « auteurs minores ».

Charles Baudelaire - The Flowers of Evil

The subject of this bachelor's thesis is the personality and work of Charles Baudelaire. We are interested in how Baudelaire's life and also the historical period in which he lived influenced his output. The aim of my work is to show why the Charles Baudelaire's collection of poems The folwers of evil was so exceptional in its time and why it was initially rejected by some critics as well as later positively received by others.The purpose of this bachelor's thesis is to show, how was the reaction on Baudelaire's work in Bohemia and how translations from the Czech authors differ. The thesis also discusses Baudelaire's relationship to women, especially to Jeanne Duval, and how is his cohabitation with this lifelong partner reflected in poems of the Flowers of Evil collection. We are also reflecting of Baudelaire's conception of beauty, and by that we demonstrate novelty and originality of his poetry. Charles Baudelaire's work brings new, unknown possibilities, which disrupt and change previous aesthetic norms and gives poetry a new dimension and inspiration for next generations. Title of the thesis: The role of the director in Moliere's Tartuffe. Keywords: Molière, comédien (actor), dramaturgie (dramaturgy), hypocrite (hypocrite), hypocrisie (hypocrisy). Abstract The thesis entitled De l'implication du metteur en scène dans l'interprétation de Tartuffe examines the most important problems and storylines in two stage interpretations of Tartuffe. The aim of this thesis is to compare the play in French and Czech and analyze the similarities and differences between two versions. Moreover, this work is intended to show how directors at La Comedie-Française and Realistické Divadlo put the comedy on the stage guided by their personal perception of the original text or translation and to what extent they follow the rules of classicism. The thesis consists of an introduction, a methodological section, seven main chapters and a conclusion. The introduction is devoted to a general description of Molière and King Louis XIV. The methodological section outlines the structure of the thesis. The following chapters constitute the core of the thesis. The first chapter delineates the traces of religion in Tartuffe and the reasons why Molière was not allowed to put on this play for a long time. Jakub Deml and François Mauriac: Between God and Literature

Pro svou diplomovou práci jsem zvolila osobnosti dvou spisovatelů z období katolické literatury, Jakuba Demla a Francois Mauriaca. Nejprve představím spisovatele Jakuba Demla a podmínky, ze kterých jeho tvorba vychází. Zmíním především působení Katolické moderny a osobnost Josefa Floriana. V druhé části se věnuji Francois Mauriacovi a prostředí francouzského renouveau catholique. V těchto prvních dvou částech pracuji s tradiční metodou literární historie, která mi pomáhá dotvořit obraz doby, ve které oba autoři žili a tvořili. Tato metoda byla v padesátých letech strukturalisty považována za překonanou, ale v zásadě neztratila nic na své užitečnosti. Je jednou z mnoha a já doufám, že výběr právě této metody se ukáže jako dobrý pomocník v mé práci, přitom jsem si vědoma možnosti výběru z metod a vybírám podle kritérií, která se mi zdají podstatná. Snažím se zde o rekonstrukci fenoménu, nazývaného literární katolicismus. Tento literární fenomén má jisté přesahy do filozofie a teologie. Za stěžejní považuji třetí část své práce, ve které se dostává ke slovu metoda srovnávací. Téma, vztah Jakuba Demla a Francois Mauriaca k jejich dílu, se snažím vysvětlit pomocí konkrétních literárních témat. Mým cílem je vysvětlit čtenáři, jak specifické je téma katolické literatury, jak důležitá je jednota morálních hodnot...

The world of dreams and myths in the work of Gérard de Nerval

Tato práce si kladla za cíl prozkoumat určité aspekty Nervalova světa snů a mýtů. Omezili jsme se ovšem na tituly, které považujeme za stěžejní, a sice na poslední prózu autorova života, Aurélii, autobiografii zaznamenávající sérii snových vizí, psanou na popud Nervalova psychiatra. Dále pak na sbírku dvanácti sonetů Chiméry, která vyšla coby dovětek Dcer ohně v roce 1854, okrajově i na prózu s názvem Příběh o Královně Jitra a Sulajmánovi, knížeti duchů tvořící část výboru Cesta do Orientu. I tak bylo ovšem potřeba téma zúžit a vybrat jen některé konkrétní aspekty, vždyť jen pokus o komplexní uchopení tak vrstevnatého díla, jakým je Aurélie, by vydal na práci podstatně delší, než je tato.

Identity and variations in the novel Lignes de faille by Nancy Huston

The present study compares identity formation of the narrators in the novel Lignes de faille, who are six years old children of four consecutive generations. The aim of the thesis is to link and analyze two basic elements of Huston's creation, namely identity and variations. The first part of the study deals with the definition of identity and then describes the stages of identity formation according to the psychosocial concept of Erik H. Erikson. Afterwards, the thesis outlines family environment factors such as family composition, parenting style or religious denomination that contribute to the formation of identity. The second part of the comparative study focuses on the similarities and differences between the four children stories of which the novel is composed. The analysis deals with variations related to body perception, religious beliefs and family models. The thesis provides a point of view of the identity formation of the children and at the same time shows how the reactions to the factors that affect this formation resemble or differ across the four stories.

Usage of Literature texts in French language on a secondary grammar school

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá využitím literárních textů v jejich originální, neupravené podobě při výuce francouzského jazyka na gymnáziu. Jejím hlavním cílem je poskytnou informace a konkrétní metodologické postupy učitelům francouzského jazyka, kteří s těmito texty již pracují, nebo by chtěli začít. Při práci s literárními díly se zaměřuje především na zlepšení porozumění čtenému textu v cizím jazyce za pomoci čtenářských strategií, a tím na zvýšení úrovně čtenářské gramotnosti žáků v jazyce mateřském, která je podle výzkumů v České republice horší než v mnoha ostatních vyspělých zemích. Dalším úkolem je vzbudit v žácích lásku k literatuře, přimět je číst více a nad literárním dílem kriticky uvažovat a vést s ním dialog. Abychom ospravedlnili práci s literárním textem při výuce, prozkoumali jsme metodické směry v historii cizojazyčného vyučování a sledovali jejich přístup k literatuře. Zjistili jsme, že literární texty využívala především tradiční metoda založená na překladu a studiu gramatiky na jejich základě, ale její přístup jsme shledali nevhodným. Další metody porozumění textu opomíjejí a ten se znovu vrací až v komunikativní metodě a využití literárních textů se rozmáhá především dnes. Personality of Emma Bovary in Gustave Flaubert's roman

This final work consist in the analysis of Emma Bovary's personality, the main heroine of Gustave Flaubert's roman Madame Bovary. It describes her life changes depending on changing circonstainces of her entourage and on her interior living of these situations. It deals as well with the développement of her personality from a provincial girl over to a young woman and a wife who knows about love only from romantic literature, and finally presents her like a mother and multiple mistress. This work shows Emma Bovary from différents points of view, like a literature phenomenon. The purpose of it is not to understand, to judge or to defend her or her actions, this work just summarises not only her attitudes in different situations in her life, her dreams, troubles, but also little pleasures arising from them.
