Vaclav's Havel second presidential term 1990 - 1992

The work is dealing with Vaclav Havel's second presidential term, namely with three aspects which were determining fulfilment of his duties. It is specifically focusing on break up of Czechoslovakia, economic transformation of the country and Havel's opinion of voting systems. The work is trying to prove interconnection of these three points and offers a detailed insight into the matter. It then shows that Vaclav Havel as the last Czechoslovak president had to face these issues and lead an uneven battle with them. There is a stress on shorter two year term of lawmakers which influenced negative development in both parts of the country and why Havel insisted so much on it. Na příkladu dvou představitelů raně křesťanských herezí bylo poukázáno na jejich obsahovou propojenost s posléze vítězným směrem reprezentovaným (proto)katolickou církví, byly představeny jejich styčné plochy i společné body, stejně tak jako stránky odvrácené a vedoucí k věroučným sporům, které církev formovaly. Představeny byly způsoby, kterými odlišné názory na osobu a činnosti Ježíše pomáhaly ustanovit církevní dogmata i kánon, i jejich popis, který ukazuje různost pohledů na zvěst o Spasiteli. Nazírání na Ježíše jako na Krista se lišilo v závislosti na kulturním a společenském prostředí recipienta a to nejen v proudu heretickém, ale i katolickém, a tak jsme svědky mnoha různých výkladů, které dosahovaly i čisté opozice. Elections and Morality: Moral Foundations Theory (Jonathan Haidt) and Analysis of 2017 Elections in the Czech Republic

The aim of the proposed work is to verify the hypothesis based on Jonathan Haidt's Moral Foundations Theory, which says that the wider the range of the so-called moral foundations a political party addresses with its programme, the higher its chances of a good election result. This hypothesis is examined within the framework of Czech political reality. The first part of the work introduces Haidt's Theory of Moral Foundations and examines the question of its applicability to the Czech political sphere. In the next step, the mentioned theory is used (with the help of appropriate operationalization) as a means of analysing the election results of Czech political parties in the elections to the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament in 2017 in order to verify this hypothesis. The programme points of the election programmes of ten Czech political parties are subjected to the analysis. These are the parties that, according to pre-election surveys, had the greatest chance of exceeding the 5 % electoral threshold for joining the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic (i. e. ANO 2011, ČSSD, ODS, SPD, TOP 09, KDU-ČSL KSČM, STAN, Pirate Party and Green Party). The Development of the agrarian party in the oeriod of the Firsz Czechoslovak Republic

The Bachelor's thesis focuses on the development of Czech, later Czechoslovak Agrarian Party. The thesis describes the background of the Agrarian Party and its gradual boom before the establishment of Czechoslovakia. The Party's founders and first political leaders from the second half of the 19th century are mentioned. The thesis also describes the Agrarian Party's attitude during the First World War and the establishment of Czechoslovakia. However, the thesis emphasizes mainly the Party's political activity during the First Czechoslovak Republic in 1918-1935. Furthermore, it describes results of elections from 1920 to 1935 and discusses the formation and activities of government coalitions. The text provides an overview of agrarian politicians in the highest governmental functions who made important political decisions. The thesis deals with the gradual development of the Party during the First Republic and also its internal conflicts. It describes Party congresses and organizational rise of the Party. Moreover, it illustrates the Party's attitudes towards other political parties or presidents of the Republic. The concept of totalitarianism in the works of George Orwel.

The aim of this thesis is to characterize the way George Orwell viewed the totalitarianism and how he portrayed this phenomenon in his works. The fundamental part is an analysis of the characteristics of totalitarian regimes in Orwell's most important works 1984 and Animal Farm. For a deeper understanding of Orwell's view of totalitarian regimes, his life and the events that shaped his political thinking were also discussed in more detail. In addition to the aforementioned, the work also includes a general characteristic of the typical features of totalitarianism and general principles of totalitarian regimes, referring to the historical and political context of the twentieth century of selected states, such as the USSR, Germany or Czechoslovakia. This section is followed by an analysis of selected works by authors who dealt with totalitarianism from the view of political theory, such as Hannah Arendt, F.A. Hayek, Zbigniew Brzezinski and Ernst Jünger. Though George Orwell described himself as a leftist and a socialist, he strictly rejected any form of totalitarian rule, and, as he wrote in one of his essays, much of his work was anti- totalitarian. Mortgage market in the Czech republic

This bachelor thesis deals with the Czech mortgage market. The main aim of the practical part is to introduce the audience to the issue of mortgage loans and their role within the bank products. It analyses all-important attributes and descriptions of mortgages. The paper then occupies with mortgage loans in the Czech Republic, it briefly describes its development and current state, including today's requirements for obtaining mortgage loans and current mortgage providers on the Czech market. In the theoretical part, I use primarily analyzing and descriptive methods, the main source of information was Czech financial literature. In the second, practical part, the paper deals mainly with some selected mortgage loan providers and their offers. Firstly, I mention some general recommendations and secondly, concrete examples, which I use to compare the offers of each bank. The aim of the practical part is particularly comparison and evaluation of each offer, the method I use is mainly comparison. The main sources of information were the official websites of the providers and the calculators placed on these sites. Development and Electoral Success of Selected Populist Parties in the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom between 2010 and 2019

This diploma theses presented deals with the development and electoral success of chosen populist parties and movements in the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom, and a comparison of the electoral success in those countries. The thesis is focused on the period between 2010 and 2019, given that the year 2010 represents a turning point considering election results in both countries. The first part of the thesis presents theoretical background of the study of populism and different understandings of the concept. The minimal definition of populism is presented there, together with three fundamental actors of populism which are then used to identify individual populist parties. The second and the third part of this thesis deal with the situation in the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom, respectively. We identify populist political parties and movements which are active on nationwide level and which managed to gain substantial results in parliamentary elections in the country or in elections to the European Parliament. Each party is described in terms of its development and its activity in politics, and then its electoral success in important elections is assessed. Creation and develepment of party PODEMOS from 2014 to 2020

This bachelor thesis addresses the formation and evolution of the political party PODEMOS from 2014 until 2020. The main purpose is to present a balanced and integrated view of this Spain's leftist party. The whole thesis is divided into three parts. The first one, which is theoretical, provides a historical and political context of the party PODEMOS. The second part covers the formation, organization, funding sources and programmes of the party, paying special attention to the transformation from the civil movement (15M) to the organised party. The third part deals with the parliamentary terms between 2014 and 2019, dealing with development activities undertaken by the party and their election outcomes.
