Crowd Counting in Video
Kuřátko, Jiří ; Sochor, Jakub (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This master's thesis prepared the programme which is able to follow the trajectories of the movement of people and based on this to create various statistics. In practice it is an effective marketing tool which can be used for instance for customer flow analyses, optimal evaluation of opening hours, visitor traffic analyses and for a lot of other benefits. Histograms of oriented gradients, SVM classificator and optical flow monitoring were used to solve this problem. The method of multiple hypothesis tracking was selected for the association data. The system's quality was evaluated from the video footage of the street with the large concentration of pedestrians and from the school's camera system, where the movement in the corridor was monitored and the number of people counted.
Fast Re-Calibration of PTZ Camera for Traffic Analysis
Dřevo, Aleš ; Juránek, Roman (referee) ; Sochor, Jakub (advisor)
This thesis deals with problematics of PTZ-camera re-calibration during movement. The objective of this work is to keep the camera in calibration mode from default status when the known positions of Vanishing Points are in the image. With their use during movement, which is changing with motion of the camera, their positions are kept with help of two implemented methods. The first method is based on the principle of homography, the second on the principle of cross ratio. The results show that both of these methods work especially for keeping the positions of First Vanishing Points. In the case of the Second Vanishing Points there appear various problems and the results are often quite inaccurate.
Cloud Application for Traffic Analysis
Valchář, Vít ; Sochor, Jakub (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to create a cloud application for traffic analysis without knowing anything about the system. The only input is address of the web camera pointing at traffic. This application is build on existing solution which is further enhanced. New modules for removing obstacles (such as lamppost covering part of the road) and splitting overlapping cars were added. The whole cloud solution consists of multiple components which communicates by HTTP messages and are controlled by web interface.
Fast Detection of Traffic Signs in Image
Sochor, Jakub ; Španěl, Michal (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on detection of traffic signs in real-time. First of all, algorithms used for traffic signs detection will be presented. Description of approach used in this thesis based on shapes of traffic signs and modifications of this algorithm will follow. Evaluation of accomplished results with this algorithm will be also presented.
Traffic Analysis from Video
Sochor, Jakub ; Španěl, Michal (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
Recognition of Pieces on Chessboard from Photography on Mobile Device
Tábi, Roman ; Polok, Lukáš (referee) ; Sochor, Jakub (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is a mobile application for Android platform, which recognises chessboard pieces from photography of the chessboard. Application uses photography from gallery and determine the content of every single chessboard cell, thus if it contains black or white piece, or if it is empty. The task is solved in two stages. First is the detection of chessboard lines to determine the position of chessboard cells, second is the detection of chessboard pieces. The result of this thesis is working Android application.
Braille Reader on Mobile Device
Krušina, Jan ; Maršík, Lukáš (referee) ; Sochor, Jakub (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with detection and translation of Braille characters from images taken by a camera on a mobile phone. Firstly, different approaches of solution of this issue are mentioned, and their results are described. Secondly, the chosen method that deals with this problem is introduced, and implementation of this technique on a chosen mobile device is presented. Finally, evaluation of the algorithm is described and results are analyzed.
Re-Identification of Vehicles in Video
Zapletal, Dominik ; Sochor, Jakub (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This thesis deals with the vehicle re-identification in video problem. Vehicle re-identification is based on matching image parts obtained from different cameras. This work is focues on the re-identification itself assuming that the vehicle detection problem is already solved including extraction of a full-fledged 3D bounding box. The re-identification problem is solved by using color histograms, histograms of oriented gradients by a linear regressor. The features are used in separate models in order to get the best results in the shortest CPU computation time. The proposed method works with a high accuracy (60% true positives retrieved with 10% false positive rate on a challenging subset of the test data) in 85 milliseconds of the CPU (Core i7) computation time per one vehicle re-identification assuming the Full HD resolution video input. The applications of this work include finding important parameters like travel time, traffic flow, or traffic information in a distributed traffic surveillance and monitoring system.
Panoramic Photo Creation
Dospiva, Filip ; Sochor, Jakub (referee) ; Behúň, Kamil (advisor)
This thesis contains a comparison of approaches to implementation of the panoramic photos. There are analyzed partial steps to create panoramas and access methods that are used for these steps. There is a preview of the methods and schedules their advantages and disadvantages. Also included is a comparison of these methods and evaluation of their usability.
Road Sign Detection from Camera in Car
Dušek, Jan ; Sochor, Jakub (referee) ; Beran, Vítězslav (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is focused on detection of traffic signs from image or video. Algorithms common for object detection will be introduced in the beginning. Description of object detection using histogram of oriented gradients and support vector machines will follow. Last part will present accomplished results.
