Bachelor thesis focuses on software development for mobile autonomous robot with a microcontroller control unit. It provides an overview to sensors for mobile ground robots on a level necessary for control software programmer. It further analyzes microcontrollers and their architecture and programming. At the end of the thesis is theoretical description of deployed navigational software and communication protocol between control unit and computer.
Analysis 5Ps of the marketing mix on the Paul Company from the employees´ perspective
Vojta, Jan ; Říha, David (advisor) ; Karlíček, Miroslav (referee)
This bachelor thesis' goal is to describe the marketing mix as a practical marketing technique; it also attempts to apply 5Ps of the marketing mix on the Paul Company. Tone of the research is positivists and thus a quantitative marketing research is carried out via the single dissemination questionnaire survey. In practical part, of the thesis the marketing mix analysis, of PAUL Company from the employees' perspective, is introduced. Such an accession enables throughout scientific approach leading to the explanation of all the steps and tools necessary for the corporate success; raising the demand for its Product, Price, Place, Promotion and People. In the second half of the practical part, the questionnaires presented to Paul employees are examined and interpreted. This all aims finding out how professionals perceive and identify themselves with the firm's business policy and marketing mix. The final part of the work summarizes the key factors of the mix, and suggests areas for the further academic and practical improvements. The justification of this paper is 2 fold: 1] critical literature evaluation, 2] practical suggestions for the marketing professionals.
Competitive advantage based on working capital management during the economical recession period
Vojta, Josef ; Veber, Jaromír (advisor) ; Scholleová, Hana (referee) ; Struž, Jan (referee)
The reasons, why doctoral thesis named ?Competitive advantage based on working capital management during the economical recession period? has been compiled, are indentified as follows: ? Due to existing economical recession there is a deficiency of free foreign capital on the market and the price of capital is rapidly growing. ? There are some companies on the market, which are able to maintain the turnover dynamics and their business results (their ROI ratios) are significantly better than a market average. The two objectives of research have been stipulated: ? To prove whether there is a relation between the value of company?s working capital divided by the total turnover in the current period and the change of company?s turnover in the following period. The change of market value average shall be taken into account. ? To prove whether there is a relation between the company?s most liquid assets (receivables and short-term financial assets) divided by the value of total assets in the current period and company?s ROI ratio in the following period. These objectives have been achieved through extensive theoretical research at first, secondly through evaluation of empirical resources from a survey done based on data from 44 German companies connected with building industry between the years 2004 and 2007 and finally, the analysis and synthesis of these resources. The doctoral thesis clarifies the essential targets of working capital management, methods of company?s working capital optimization and reasons, why effective value of working capital could be seen as a source of company?s competitive advantage during economical recession period. The conclusions have pointed out that there is obvious delay of working capital optimization positive effects onto the company?s turnover dynamics and ROI ratios.
Reorganization process in Tatra a.s. company
Havlík, Ondřej ; Vojta, Josef (advisor) ; Karásek, Petr (referee)
The bachelor thesis focuses on crisis development and implementation of crisis management in Tatra a.s. company, which is traditional producer of heavy utility trucks. The author analyses the causes of problems in this company and points out critical areas in company, which are necessary to be improved in order to save the company. In the end, the author suggests own crisis plan for Tatra, which should be implemented in this company.
Determination of variance in measurement of relative angle between infrared beacon and scanner
Krejsa, Jiří ; Růžička, M. ; Vojta, J.
Mobile robot localization is one of essential components for successful robot navigation. Localization techniques based on active landmarks commonly utilize probabilistic state estimation methods, e.g. Extended Kalman filter (EKF). In order to function properly, determination of process and measurement noise variances is essential in EKF. This paper is focused on determination of variance in measurement of relative angle between the active landmark, represented by infrared beacon and device positioned on the robot, beacon scanner. Variance values are determined in a number of environment conditions. The results indicate that for the beacon type used the variance essentially holds with the percentage of unsuccessful readings being the only variable effected by changing environment. This observation justifies the usage of measured variances in EKF based localization system.
The role of a radiation monitoring and a dosimetric provision in the first phase of a local radiation emergency
VOJTA, Jiří
In the last decades, the sources of ionizing radiation have been used more and in various branches of medicine, industries, agriculture and research. Like each human activity, the usage of the sources of ionizing radiation is also connected with possible occurrences of accidents and emergencies. Such events can then cause damage to a person health or the environment . The usage of sources of ionizing radiation belongs to those few human activities in the world, where a big attetion is paid not only to the development of appli-cations but also to their safety. However, despite all of it, it is not possible to eliminate the risk of accidents and emergencies. Recently, there has been some talk of possible misuses of the sources of ionizing radiation. Such extraordinary events place high on the first response forces. One of the first re-sponse forces is Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic, the forces of which are lo-cated over the Cezch Republic. This thesis shall provide these forces with such infor-mation that they should be able, along with the authorities responsible for the radiation protection, to evaluate the situation and minimise effects on health, lives and environ-ment in the event of radiation extraordinary event. The purpose of this thesis is to solve local extraordinary radiation events (such as acci-dents during the transport of the sources of ionizing radiation, discovery of an unknown radiator). It does not deal with nuclear emergencies and accidents of other equipment, where the scope of the event and its consequences are of nation-wide importance. The first part of the thesis includes basic terms of the ionizing radiation and radiation pro-tection. The other part is focused on the radiation research, monitoring, response system and dosimetry devices. This part also includes materials for trainings and drills focusing on early identification of raiation hazards of an extraordinary event.
The elaboration of the plan how to accomplish a training on theme: A radioactive emitter detection in a scrap - metal
VOJTA, Jiří
In recent years there has been an increase in number of cases when radioactive material was captured. Hitherto gained experience has proven that most of the cases have connection with the manipulation with derivative (metal) crude material. Less frequent are cases of disallowed emission of sources of ionizing radiation (import, export, distribution, terrorism). The above mentioned information implies that there is the need to summarize all the known information in order to serve as the information source for all the chiefs of IZS units when preparing and training of operating staff and also to help in demarcation of competence in action. After studying materials on this issue I have come to the conclusion that for the commanders of the operations (training) the best guidance is the Standard plan so called (check list) for such case of a radiological weapon attack, which will simplify the real world situation.
