Standards of the concept of developing high school

The standards of high school development conceptions are examined in this Bachelor's thesis by analyzing a set of particular parameters and their role in drawing up "school development conceptions" in a geographically limited area. The objective of this work is to analyze and evaluate the various approaches taken by the individual directors of selected secondary schools in their endeavor to devise the ideal conception for the secondary schools under their auspices. The common denominators of the conceptions and determinant parameters like the seniority, the attitudes of the directors, the degree of their involvement in the implementation of the conceptions, the different utilization of information resources, and the number of conceptions already designed, and their age, are identified. Comparative analysis of the data acquired and collected by the means of field research is applied to arrive the conclusion that the particular approaches are very different from case to case, however, there appears to be just an insignificant correlation with the seniority of the creators. The devised methodology can be applied on other subjects of interest in other geographical locations or for other types of educational institutions.

Headmaster in the role of manager, comparation of the situation in the Czech Republic and Republic Belarus

The bachelor thesis deals with the implementation of theoretical knowledge in the day-to-day decision-making process of the headmaster in the Czech Republic and Belarus based on the study of the information obtained. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to formulate identical and different characteristics of the activities of the headmaster in the role of manager in the Czech Republic and Belarus. This work, with regard to research questions, should show in detail the differences in the approach to managerial work of the headmaster in the conditions of the Czech Republic and Belarus with regard to legislation, customs and experience. The bachelor thesis examines the director's personal profile as a manager with all aspects of managerial work and determines the work of a manager with human resources in the primary school environment of both countries. The theoretical part summarizes the knowledge concerning the work of the headmaster in the Czech and Belarusian environment and verifies the predicted model by research in the school field. The aim of the research is to map and describe how managers of independent schools apply managerial skills in specific activities of school management, taking into account the conditions of these countries. Mezinárodní agilní týmy v digitálním a virtuálním prostředí

The thesis discusses research on a selected international team that incorporates agile methodology framework. The team is distributed among multiple European states and has off-shore members in India. The research questions include cross-cultural aspects of teamwork, organizational viewpoint as well as other key areas of team cooperation. Analysis is performed based on questionnaire distribution and a series of structured interviews with members of the researched team. Research findings include a list of recommended changes to team organization and evaluation of cross-cultural and factors of cooperation and their impact. Research has provided an action plan and a set of research observations that include deep analysis of teamwork, the area has proven to be attractive for further research, hence the thesis is concluded with suggestions in this area.

Career system of teachers in the Slovak Republic

The aim of this thesis is to assess the contribution of the career system of Slovak teachers from the perspective of school principals. The theoretical part deals with the definition of the career system based on a literature research. Firstly, preconditions of the career system are defined. Secondly, the career system is described in detail, followed by its evaluation and comparison with the upcoming Czech career system. The practical part describes the used qualitative methods and approaches and includes findings from the field research. A multiple conn-Dove study was used to solve the research problem, in which the case is represented by ten principals from various schools. Semi-structured interviews with school principals, observing their interactions and document analysis were used for data collection. The result of the research was to create ten idiographic reports reflecting school principals' practical experience with the career system. Findings show significant dissatisfaction among school principals with the conception and implementation of the career system due to the administrative complexity of the system, its formalism, the lack of resources in the system and the lack of provided methodological support to school principals. System for Supporting Agile Project Management

This project is devoted to using of agile methodologies in the process of the web development. First, the most widely used traditional and agile methodologies of the software development are theoretically examined. Based on the identified procedures are chosen those that solve the biggest problems associated with the project management of the web development. From the findings is given a rough design of the system with usage of agile procedures. In the final part of the project is mentioned design implemented as the system prototype.

Improvements of JPEG Format

This thesis deals with lossy still image compression algorithms used in JPEG standard. All compression steps according to this standard are described in detail. My objective is to introduce and implement improvements that would result in increased compression ratio while adhering to the structure of the standard. At the end of the thesis, the implementation is compared to standard implementation and additional possible improvements are proposed.
