Fingerprint Liveness Recognition
Lodrová, Dana ; Orság, Filip (referee) ; Drahanský, Martin (advisor)
This document deals with presentation of nowadays software and hardware methods used for fingerprint recognition with focus on liveness testing and thereafter it deals with description of my solution. In order to describe results obtained from study of technical literature, we discuss important terminology of biometric systems at first and further main principles of fingerprint sensors used in practice are shown. From overviewed methods of liveness detection we underline one method based on  perspiration (researched by BioSAL laboratory) and one spectroscopic method researched by Lumidigm Corporation. The study of liveness testing methods inspired me to creation of new type fingerprint sensor which has built-in livennes testing method based on two characteristic properties of living human tisue. In order to test this sensor, we discuss nowadays sensor deception method. It follows from their analysis, that newly designed sensor should be theoretically resistant to each of them.
Parcel Number Recognition in Cadastral Maps
Svoboda, Jiří ; Lodrová, Dana (referee) ; Procházka, Boris (advisor)
Content of this thesis is to create an application, which displays cadastral maps of Czech Republic, after parcel of land is marked by user, application automatically recognizes land parcel number, on which basis are the information from cadastre of real estates shown.
Biometric System Performance Testing - Fingerprint Technology
Šuta, Matej ; Lodrová, Dana (referee) ; Drahanský, Martin (advisor)
This thesis describes technologies currently used by fingerprint sensors. Couple of procedures are designed to test the properties of these sensors. These procedures are focusedon the environmental influence on the sensor's functionality and it's resistance to spoof attacks. The results of these tests are processed and evaluated to show different aspects of the system.
Client/Server Application of the Game Whisp
Fabian, Jaroslav ; Lodrová, Dana (referee) ; Doležel, Michal (advisor)
The bachelors thesis describe predesign and implementation of the card game the Whisp. Game is dedicated for three or four players, who play it using computer network and protocol TCP/IP. Game is developed for Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, 7 operating systems. Programming language is Java.
Biometric System Performance Testing - Hand Geometry Technology
Hrnčiřík, Matej ; Orság, Filip (referee) ; Lodrová, Dana (advisor)
This thesis describes difficulties of testing one of many biometric technologies - hand geometry technology. Several procedures were designed to test this technology. The whole testing process was performed on HandKey II device. One of the objectives was to determine whether the device can be fooled using artificial hands. Next objective was to design and perform tests aimed at identification and verification. Results are processed and evaluated from several aspects.
Biometrical Liveness Detection - Electrical and Thermal Features
Malý, Tomáš ; Lodrová, Dana (referee) ; Váňa, Jan (advisor)
The goal of this thesis was to study and propose ways of a liveness detection, based mainly on the thermal and electrical properties. Next, create an application determine the degree of liveness of the investigated object. Experiments are evaluated, all work summarized and evaluated
Detection of Papillary Line Width by Fingerprints
Homola, Antonín ; Drahanský, Martin (referee) ; Lodrová, Dana (advisor)
This work outlines a method of detection of the papillary line width in fingerprints. This method is one of the possible methods of liveness detection. The first part of the work with deals defining of the fingerprint, attacks on today's systems and possibilities to improve security. The next section detection describes of the papillary line width. During the process of resolving, the first thing to do was to start operation of the scanning device and to read the database for tests and experiments. An independent application was created on this purpose. Further, there were projected methods for detection and measuring of the papillary line width. Use of the Canny edge detector with the Sobel operator and the Gaussian filter proved the best. Then, there is described implementation of individual methods. The next part of the work describes and assesses the results of the tests. The last chapter summarizes the work and proposes further possibilities of development.
Security of Biometric Systems
První přístup je z oblasti testování živosti a znemožňuje použití různých typů falešných otisků prstů a jiných metod oklamání senzoru v průběhu procesu snímání otisků.

Program for Training of Dactyloscopic Experts
Bartoň, Jan ; Drahanský, Martin (referee) ; Lodrová, Dana (advisor)
This work deals with the design project and the creation of user interface of a programme for the training of dactyloscopy experts. The first chapters describe historical and technical evolution of dactyloscopy. Then the work explains the methods and concepts necessary for understanding and elemental orientations in determination of fingerprints. The final chapters present a proposition of possibilities in how to obtain and represent the results in a comprehensible form. The conclusion of the work is dedicated to tests and evaluation of the results.
