Machala, Martin ; Mašek, Radomír (referee) ; Marek, Jiří (advisor)
In the Saris region there are several sulfur mineral springs. The most important is spring Svablovka. A small local spa existed near the spring visited mainly by citizens of Sabinov and surrounding nobility. After secend world war operation of the spa was not restorted. Tradition persist and need of the spa becomes actual. Create silent and calm place for resting body. The new spa is embedded in the slope above the town in the narrow site. Minimalistic shape do not want to compete with surroundings. Restaurant and terrace open into entrance space of the site. It is link between lobby and exterior. Basin part is otherwise closed with own atmosphere and intimacy. The centre is water. The spaces is based on Roman hypocaust system. The main basin is embosomed by hotter sauna and fire bath. Used water is recycled for heating
Community Center in the Centre
Krajčovičová, Barbora ; Šindlar, Jiljí (referee) ; Marek, Jiří (advisor)
During the 70s Povazska Bystrica city has completely changed their entire downtown. When the proposal was envisaged to reserve 30 percent of the area from which it has over the years become parking places. This city center , without historical buildings with compactly closed square is certainly an interesting subject of sociological inquiry. What is missing in this zone are mainly related to leisure activities , facilities for mothers with small children , gallery , sports center , museum of Povazske strojarne . All these functions , I tried to include in my concept of urban strategies , from which I chose to further develop the community center building . That in itself contains a gallery , bistro , maternity center , multipurpose hall and two large spaces for the development of musical activities and creative abilities . Surrounding buildings are only with a flat roof , mainly cubic , and therefore I chose this also this very similar and simple shape. Form responds to the idea of the conclusion of the square , but their scale and the overall shape corresponds with the environment and communicate directly with him . Height of the building is in equilibrium with the surrounding building heights , four classic levels . The proposed building is from the eastern part , where the transition between buildings is designed after the original road from the church , the entrance to the maternity center is situated near the indoor playground snd the semi-opened atrium.Artistic and material solution responds to the urban environment in which the building is planted . Whereas in its vicinity is the amount of greenery with which is in direct contact (park , river with green stripe) and that is why I chose the color of the facade , which would be in contrast with greenery , but also square tiles . I chose pale pigmented precast concrete elements which, artistically revived facade and completed as well as the layout of windows and doors . Windows and doors have been designed with regard to the function rooms , as well as their breakdown, as some of them , such as entrance hall , extending over two floors , on the other hand , some classrooms respectively interest rooms have a mezzanine section . Complement the interior color shades that are not only functional but also aesthetic element , as are color differentiated by function of room . The building is designed as wall system combined with columns and materials , in turn, is a concrete and reinforced concrete .
Revitalization of Castle Jasenov with and Surroundings
Turcovský, Štefan ; Šindlar, Jiljí (referee) ; Marek, Jiří (advisor)
Hole idea of this design connects to existing situation and state, to historical, artistic significance of this region. The concept coming out of two main representants of life and history of Jasenov (Jasenov castle, Jasenov healing spring) and is coupled with new form, that is represented in form of Regional museum. First part includes analysis of area and surroundings, wider relationships, history and landmarks nad memories, static analysis of state of Jasenov castle and it's consequences on concept. Second part includes design of Jasenov healing spring. This place is historically significant because of effect on historical progress. For this place I designed „spiritua“ place, place for relaxation. Main part is represented by particular form, form that is inpired by classical chapels and churches of this region of Zemplin. Around main design, there are 23 rocks for sitting, that represents 23 families ( These families were really significant for hole progress and history of this village). Hole place communicates with it's surroundings, nature and gently complement this area. Third part deals with Museum of Region. Museum serves not only for representation of history, but also like place for relax, exibitions, performances ( amphiteather for 250 people), representation of traditional manufacturing and folklor. Concept consist of 7 main houses, in center of area si amphiteather/ park. Forms organicly conncets with nature, terrain in similar style like traditional architecture of Zemplin. Museum is alcou main crossroad of turistic paths (Humenné- Jasenov castle, Húbková- Chlmec, Jasenov castle- Krivoštianka).

Revitalization of a Historical Monument, Trenčín
Málek, Ivan ; Bindr, Tomáš (referee) ; Marek, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of the proposed changes are aimed at creating a vertical division of functionality. The basement will be used for public purposes, the 1st floor will keep it's use as commercial spaces for rent, with less exposed parts of the disposition being converted into administrative spaces. The 2nd floor will be converted into flats of different sizes to accommodate a broad range of social classes, which should help bring life back to the city center. Much consideration is given to budgetary concerns, since the private owners have limited resources, while the changes should affect the daily routines of the tenants as little as possible. Another goal is to remove some of the insensitive building interventions made during the communist era, to restore the historical values of the entire building.

Vlček Ličková, Nina ; Mašek, Radomír (referee) ; Marek, Jiří (advisor)
In the novice hill Beskydy foothills and the plane Ostrava landscape huddle village Rychaltice. This residence is a part of Hukvaldy. It´s here the important connnection with the "landscape of Leoš Janáček." Poetry and Mysticism by this Czech composer was able to catch in his symphonies, are already very slightly visible. The surviving fragments of the original buildings, cottages, farmsteads and barns talking about agricultural tradition of the area. Despite the high activity of collective agriculture and the building tendencies of the past and today, can be found a small piece of land for traditional cultivation. Alternative Proposal of Concert Hall in Brno - Janáček Cultural Center
Fikejs, Oldřich ; Bindr, Tomáš (referee) ; Marek, Jiří (advisor)
The Brno Philharmonic is renowned all over the world from London to Tokyo, but in its home town only has a small hall with poor acoustics not suitable for symphony concerts. The efforts to construct a worthy cultural venue to meet the needs of Brno go back to the interwar period and their implementation is still not in sight. The core of the project is a concert hall with capacity of 1,812. Its layout combines the advantages of standard shoebox-shaped halls and surround halls, because the best music experience gets the viewer who is quite close to the orchestra. The disadvantages of the former include poor contact with the orchestra in the rear seating, the latter sacrifice acoustical excellence mainly in the side and rear seating areas for audience proximity and visual stimulation. The building is composed of three functionally distinct parts: the audience’s part, musicians‘ background and technical equipment. The operation of each is placed in a horizontal part of a L-shaped solid. The vertical parts face each other creating a raised central cube containing the concert hall.
