The diploma thesis deals with rationalization of EDM in the Schaeffler plant. The introductory part discuss about this type of machining, while its main purpose is the explanation of material removel process and conditions that the process must meet. It’s a summary of information that needs to be known before implementation of rationalization. The following part of the work describes an initial state of electroerosive workshop. It explains operation of the workshop or what machines are used there. In this part are also written the problems that the workshop have. After that there is part which is focused on the suggestion of solution and testing of that suggestions. The conclusions of that and whether the processess were racionalized are summarized in the technical-economic evaluation chapter and in conclusion chapter.
Analysis and use of wire cutting technology
Patočka, Josef ; Osička, Karel (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
The diploma thesis focuses on the topic of electroerosive machining with greater emphasis on wire cutting technique. The first part clearly describes the principle of electroerosive discharge and its subsequent effects that cause material removal in the given working conditions. This includes the individual methods of electroerosion and the individual accessories that aid the process. The second part is a theoretical analysis of the cutting process using a wire electrode. It describes the machining method, machining strategy and a complete overview of the accessories that accompany the cutting process. The third part of the thesis includes a practical demonstration of the production of a typical representative for wire cutting and then there is evaluation from an economic point of view. Furthermore, there is clear analysis of the surface quality and the final evaluation of the condition of the component.
Machining of components for hydraulics
Piroš, Viktor ; Jaroš, Aleš (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
The main motivation of this final thesis is the draft and verification of the interchangeability of grinding technology for a more efficient machining method, namely the technology of precise turning. The aim is to reduce the production costs of one of the components of the hydraulic assembly. The introductory chapter is devoted to the analysis of the manufactured component and its application, the analysis of the current manufacturing process and the justification of the proposed interchangeability. The subsequent theoretical part is designed so that the summarized knowledge can be used in the practical part. Its content is the design of the machine tool, cutting tools, cutting and process conditions, the method of clamping the semi-finished product, the machining cycle and the time standard. At the end of the practical part there is a technical and economic evaluation of the precision turning process, focusing on the quality of the machined surface, dimensional stability, roundness stability and evaluation of time and cost savings. The conclusion of the thesis is a brief summary of the findings and results of the proposed process and its subsequent implementation.
Production design of a component for aerospace industry
Kunst, Ondřej ; Kupčák, Radim (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
Master's thesis deals with the design of the production of a component from the aviation industry. The first part contains an analysis of the solved part and its production variant. The second part is devoted to the theoretical analysis of the operations that were used for the production of the given part. The third part deals with the design of production technology. Here, the choice of suitable semi-finished product, CNC machines and cutting tools, the creation of a production procedure and the compilation of NC programs are solved. At the end of the thesis, a technical-economic evaluation is prepared.
Production of a stamp for leather using 3D printing
Vrána, Pavel ; Kalivoda, Milan (referee) ; Zemčík, Oskar (advisor)
The thesis focuses on the possibilities of using 3D printing technology for the production of leather stamps and describes the influences affecting the stamping process, such as the amount of water contained, the hardness of individual areas of the leather or the effect of the thickness of the leather. In order to describe the behaviour of the leather and the stamp during the embossing process on a hydraulic press, an experiment was designed to determine regression curves describing the skin deformation area and the stamp buckling area. The individual curves of stamps made from materials designed for FDM and DLP printing were compared with conventionally manufactured brass stamps. By comparing the curves, the suitability of the material for embossing was determined. PLA and Resin - Basic materials achieve the required parameters and can be used. The use of 3D printing technology opens up the possibility of producing both large and highly detailed stampings, at a significant reduction in product cost.
Application of GibbsCAM software for machining
Gerbel, Jakub ; Kalivoda, Milan (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
The main subject of this thesis is the application of GibbsCAM software in machining. In this thesis, a system analysis of the problem solved is carried out, especially concerning CAD/CAM systems, machining of deep pocket corners and the distribution of touch probes. From a practical point of view, the work is realized with the company JHV - GROUP s.r.o. The goal of the work is to design the actual component and create a 3D model in the CAD system CREO Parametric. Programming of its production with application of in-process measurement was performed in GibbsCAM software. The proposed procedure is verified in Vericut software. Subsequently, the production of the part is realized on a selected CNC machine tool and then the measurement on a 3D coordinate measuring machine. The application of in-process measurement on the selected CNC machine with a FANUC control system, is realized by Renishaw Inspection Plus measurement cycles. The obtained results are evaluated and discussed in the final chapter. From the results drawn, recommendations and suggestions for the industrial enterprise are made.
Production process for a replica of a historic firearm
Čech, Jakub ; Chladil, Josef (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
This thesis deals with the production of a prototype pistol with a wheel mechanism. In the theoretical part the history is described together with the terminology focused on firearms up to the 17th century. This is followed by a demonstration of the design of the gun in the software version and a demonstration of the machines that were used for the production of the prototype. The practical part describes the production process of some components needed to make the pistol mechanism, together with the overall evaluation of the final product.
Design and manufacturing of an engraving LED laser
Hlaváček, Petr ; Kalivoda, Milan (referee) ; Dvořák, Jaromír (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis is divided in two main topics. In first one it characterizes what unconventional machining methods are and divides them into groups according to the material removal effect. Each method is always simply and briefly explained. The purpose of this part is to introduce the unconventional technologies and their use in mechanical engineering. Second major topic follows comparison between beam methods and is dealing with the design and construction of a laser engraver. The goal is to build a prototype that allows not only engraving but also cutting into materials such as cardboard. The primary purpose of this machine is the production of kits for model railroad. The last chapters are about economic evaluation and comparison between made prototype and commercially sold engraver.
Machining of a component for an electric motor stator
Balajka, Radek ; Fiala, Zdeněk (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis presents a proposal for the production technology of a component for a stator of an electric motor using machining. First, an analysis of the manufactured component and the assembly unit was conducted. Subsequently, a comparison of semi-finished product manufacturing methods was performed, where laser cutting was chosen. The bachelor thesis includes the development of a technological procedure, including the selection of machines, a list of tools, and measuring instruments. Finally, a technical-economic evaluation was carried out, from which the time to produce one part and the cost of the series produced were derived.
