Tato práce rešeršně pojednává o problematice chladných zbraní. První část se věnuje historickému vývoji evropských mečů a z nich vzniklých zbraní. Dále se věnuje materiálovému rozboru a srovnání ocelí používaných na výrobu chladných zbraní. Jejich výrobě různými metodami, kde se i stručně zmiňuje o rozdílu mezi kovanou a vybrušovanou čepelí. Poté jsou zde nastíněny rozdíly mezi různými tvary čepelí a z toho pro ně vyplývající řezné vlastností a použití. Poslední část práce pojednává o geometrii břitu a technice broušení čepelí. This theses deals with cold weapons topic. The first part describes historical development of European swords and weapons originating from them. Further on the thesis presents material analysis and comparison of steels used for cold weapons production. It also shows different production methods including a brief note about the difference between forged and gringed blade. Then the thesis outlines differences among various blade shapes and how these shapes define their cutting characteristics and usage. The closing part of the thesis deals with blade geometry and grinding technology.
