Ostomy Devices Utilization in Practice

The thesis is focused on the use of stoma care in practice. The work consists of two parts. The first part is theoretical. This section is devoted to the anatomy and physiology of the gastrointestinal tract, additional chapters are devoted to the main theme, which is colostomy. There is history and development of stoma care, indications for the colostomy performance and possible complications. Another large part of the total is the nursing part where I attend nursing care of the patient with colostomy, this includes stoma care, peristomal area care, mental health care, nutrition and hydration care. There is also included a chapter about education of the patient and family members. The empirical part focuses on the research, where the method of the data collection is an anonymous questionnaire. The survey was conducted in the surgical clinic with 48 patients with colostomy. The aim of the research was to objectively evaluate and to highlight the advantages and disadvantages of stoma care, find out in which areas of daily activities the largest problem with colostomy patients occurred in terms of the adaptation process, and to improve the lives of the patients with ostomy as well.I found out how much needed a qualified stoma nurse is. I see her importance in the care of stoma patients.
Information Awarness and Experience of Common People with Food Allergy

The bachelor thesis is focused on the problems of the food allergies. The aim was to discover how much the population is informed in this field, if the population has experienced the food allergies, having found the symptoms present on themselves or their friends, family. And finally the awareness of these allergies in a family taking care of an allergic person is studied. In the theoretical part the definitions of the food allergies and similar reactions are explained. It is followed by anatomical and physiological descriptions of digestive and immune systems which are closely related to the food allergy. The causes and symptoms of the food allergies, diagnostics, treatment and prevention are integral to the theoretical part. The importance of probiotics and prebiotics which differs in scientists' opinions and in results of scientific studies is also studied. In the end of this chapter a new antigen and the education of the general public are mentioned. In the empirical part the characteristics of research assignment and methods of the research are described. I chose a questionnaire as a method for data collection. Tracheostomy from the client's perspective

The Bachelor thesis is focused on the topic of clients who endured tracheostomy. The theoretical part is mainly paying attantion to explaining the anatomical and physiological proportions of larynx and trachea. The next, quite large chapter, focuses on tracheonomic cannula, tries to sum up the information from first attempts to open the trachea, types of tracheonomic cannulas and their advantages and disantvantages, to hygiene of the throat and correct care. These basic informations should be helpful to clients taking care of tracheostomy in home enviroment. The next chapter introduces the educational process of the client from the begining of hospitalization until dispensary care. The practical part is focused on quantitative research on sufficient information towards clients before surgery and finding out to what level are the clients bothered by the cannula and how to compensate. From the obtained data it was possible to deduct that 65% of clients received information from the nurse about how to use a cannula, including a demonstration. 35% was informed about the treatment. The research also revealed that 55% of clients with temporary tracheostomy perceives the limited comunication posibilites as a major problem. Save application of injections

This thesis fouses on a save application of intramuscular injections. In this work I am fousing mainly on applications of the injections into musculus gluteus maximus. The goal of my thesis is to find out, if nurses know and control the correct technique of application of the intramuscular injections. The theoretical part is devote to the applications of the intramuscular injections, where the utilities for an application of injection are mentioned. I point at the principles of save application of injections. I also present applications of intradermous, subcutaneous, intravenous and intramusculary injections. I pay the biggest attention to intramuscular application, convey each possible place of an application, correct patient's position, the specifications of application into each locations. The attention is also focus on specific application of the intramuscular injections to kids and the methods the Z-tract. There is a public notice 55/2011 of the Statue book., it is about activities of medical start and other specialists. Dispensing medication to the ICU and ARU within the scope of nursing practice

v anglickém jazyce: This bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of application of infusion therapy in ICU and ARU. Infusions has become an integral part of daily routine and complex medical care of patients on the critical care unit. The objectives of the thesis included the evaluation of the level of knowledge of nurses in ICU and ARU, finding potential errors and pitfalls in the preparation of infusion and then identifying effective interventions to eliminate them in nursing practice. The theoretical part focuses on the characteristics of critical care unit and intensive demands that are placed on nursing staff. In other chapters are listed all the aspects related to infusion therapy. In the empirical part is included in the research methodology, data collection process and the final interpretation of the results of subsequent analysis and discussions. Bachelor thesis is focused on assessing the quality of patient education nurse anesthetist. Patient education is considered from the perspective of nurse anesthesia. The theoretical part of this work is devoted to general anesthesia characteristics, definitions and history of anesthesia. The following section deals with different types of anesthesia, complications of anesthesia and drugs used in anesthesia. Furthermore, the work focuses on the characteristics of the patient before, during and after anesthesia, and the specifics of the individual parts of anesthesia from the viewpoint of anesthesia nurses. The last chapter includes the very concept of education and the importance of good communication with the patient throughout the preparation of the patient for anesthesia. Levels of care for patients with Dementia in various medical facilities

Abstarct (v angličtině) This Thesis "Levels of care for patients with Dementia in various medical facilities" is about the care of patients with Alzheimer's disease and Senile dementia. Aim of the Thesis is to find the differences between state and private institutes.Thesis deals with the issue of Alzheimer's disease (AD) and Senile dementia (SD) and describes care in these institutions. It is focused on nursing staff care and friendly relationship with patients and an emphasis on creating a family environment, suitable communication and activation methods. In the research part of Thesis attempts to map the specialised institutes of AD and SD in the Central Bohemian region. At the same time we find the method of interview and observation of care options for patients with AD and SD. From research resulted better level of care in terms of relationship with patients and family environment, in the state institutions because of a greater number of nursing staff on the number of patients. Communication and family environment is not enough to create in the large institutes, rather focused on the mode of care.

This bachelor's thesis focuses on the distribution of medication in the social welfare health institution. The objectives of the thesis were to focus on procedures of distributing medication by nurses and to introduce the most frequent complications when distributing the medication in the social care institute. The thesis is composed of two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part describes social and health care services, a health and social care system, a general pharmacology, medicaments' distribution and the complications during the distribution, and the competency of nurses. The research part concentrates on individual study and describes a methodology of research and its organization. This research was done via survey, and the results are analyzed and discussed. Ageism - Attitudes of Students Towards the Seniors

This thesis deals with ageism - student attitudes towards the elderly. The theoretical part focuses on aging and old age, ageism, communication with the elderly, seniors leisure. The work also figuring out what is the attitude of students to senior citizens, and whether a different approach with students from high schools and universities. The thesis then determines whether it is a different approach for students who study focused on school health and school without a focus on health care. Data were obtained through a questionnaire, which included 18 questions for students from different schools. The survey was conducted a total of 78 students.
