Digitalization of Talent Management

Digitalization is a topical issue that is dealt with intensity at present. The aim of the diploma thesis is to identify digital elements in a process of talent management in a company. The attention is focused on digitalization and agile management in companies including their influence on personnel activities modernisation, in which framework the conditions and specific process of talent management are considered, in particular identification, acquisition, development, retention and talent utilisation in a company. The thesis is based on foreign research in the field of talent management, digitalization and utilisation of new technologies in personnel management as well as on relevant surveys and concepts of talent management implemented by selected internal and foreign experts. Part of the thesis is an empirical research which is aimed at obtaining and analysing data about an implementation of digital elements in a process of talent identification in big companies from Prague and the Central Bohemia Region. The research is implemented by a method of electronically distributed questionnaires to selected HR specialists and managers in whose competency the field of talent management in these companies is. Ethics in Personnel Agencies

The aim of the thesis is to analyze the principles of ethical behavior in recruitment agencies. The main starting point is the Code of Ethics of the Association of Personal Services Providers and the Anti-Discrimination Act. The thesis will deal with the issue of ethics and adherence to ethical principles by personnel agencies according to the Code. Furthermore, attention will be paid to legal acts of personnel agencies, services that should serve clients and candidates. The qualitative survey will be conducted in the form of personal and written questioning of representatives of selected personal agencies reporting to the APPS Code of Ethics. Analysis of Happiness Management in Organizations in the Czech Republic

Analysis of Happiness Management in Organizations in the Czech Republic Bc. Marie Kotálová Abstract: The objective of this thesis is to analyse the forms of happiness management in the Czech republic, focusing on the activities and competencies of happiness managers. Firstly, the premises and psychological origins of happiness management in organisations are discussed. Then, the implementation of happiness management into a business setting is scrutinised, its goals and tools, with due attention given to happiness managers and the position they occupy within their respective organisations. The paper includes a qualitative study in select Czech organisations, which have introduced the position of a happiness manager. A semi-structured interview with these very managers was the method of choice. The aim of the study is the cataloguing and comparison of various happiness management forms; happiness manager activities and responsibilities, as well as their qualifications and competency profiles within the selected organisations. Impact of Individual Values on Teamwork

The quality of work performance and cooperation within the team is determined by organizational culture and the values of organization and individuals. Having different values can often lead to conflicts and may also cause decrease in team effectiveness and demotivation. The target of the thesis is to identify the influence of individual values on the team cooperation. To define the types of value orientation of particular team members I shall use the theories of Shalom Schwarz and strengths inventory methods of Ellias H. Porter. A quantitative research realized on a target group of seventy managers of international companies is a part of this thesis. The research is targeting to verify the impact of individual value preferences on employee behavior within team work for the chosen sample of managers. To reach the empirical research a combination of methods of questionnaires and standardized interviews shall be used. Contemporary Trends in Recruitment and Employer Branding in Organizations

The diploma thesis deals with the topic of contemporary trends in the recruitment and selection of workers and employer branding in organizations. Related to low unemployment rate, changes in individual's values and the dynamic development of technology, these personal activities are keys to ensure organization's prosperity. Firstly, the work focuses on the development of personal management and department up to the current situation. It follows a description of the specific factors of the external and internal environment of the organization. Attention is also paid to the methods and tools used in the recruitment and selection of new workers as well as to the employer branding. The target of the diploma thesis is to identify the most frequently used methods and tools in these fields. The quantitative research is focuses on medium sized and large sized organizations operating in Prague. An electronically distributed questionnaire was used for collecting the data.
Mental Hygiene of Lecturer in Further Education

The thesis addresses mental hygiene of lecturers in further education and focuses on a workplace. Mental hygiene is established as a set of preventive methods that lead to a well- balanced mental state. Poor mental hygiene is linked to low-quality performance and demotivation. The aim of the thesis is to identify negative aspects of the lecturer's work regarding mental health as well as the mental health prevention methods used by practising lecturers. The first chapter explains a meaning of mental hygiene, describes a brief history of its development and its aims and methods. The following chapter is dedicated to the characteristics of helping professions and specific psychological stressors associated with them. The last theoretical chapter contains a theoretical background describing specific aspects of the lecturer's work. Last part of the thesis is a qualitative investigation that identifies negative factors affecting the mental health of practising lecturers and maps practical methods lectors used as a mental hygiene. Influence of Prague and Ostrava Regions on Attitudes of Retail Managers towards Continuing Education

This diploma thesis is focused on influence of regions on attitudes towards continuing education. The aim of this diploma thesis is to identify influence of Prague and Ostrava region to attitudes towards continuing education. The theoretical part describes the terms of continuing education and attitudes. Within those concepts is pursued influence of attitudes towards behavior with special focus on elements with power to influence attitudes towards continuing education. Different methods to measure attitudes are presented. More attention is given to the RAACES scale (Revised Adult Attitude Toward Continuing Education Scale) that is used in empirical part of the thesis. The thesis also summarizes essential cultural, social and economic characteristic of selected regions, Prague and Ostrava region, including their definition. The empirical part of the text is dedicated to the analysis of questionnaire. It measures attitudes towards continuing education of retail managers from Prague region and from Ostrava region towards continuing education with the RAACES scale. Identification and Development of Key Competencies of High Potential Employees as the Tool of Talent Management

The identification and development of high potential employees is part of talent management, which is currently one of the priorities of strategic human resources management. According to relevant surveys, high potential employees account for less than five percent of the total number of employees. First, the thesis deals with talent management, its theoretical background and historical development. Subsequently, from the point of view of HR managers, it focuses on the issue of highly potential employees in order to find out which competencies are key to this group of employees. The partial objective is to clarify the extent to which selected companies in the Czech Republic agree or differ in terms of high potential employees. A qualitative survey is used to examine both objectives, consisting of a semi-structured interview with company managers and point scale. The aim of the thesis is to describe the set of key competencies of high potential employees and to distinguish them from the set of competencies of other employees.
The Generation Y View on Corporate Social Responsibility as a Part of Employer Branding

Building an attractive workplace image, companies can attract and retain qualified employees. According to several research papers, some workers, especially young generation, prefer organizations with a prestigious employer brand and a positive social impact. The master thesis is focused on corporate social responsibility (CSR) as part of employer branding and its application within a human resource management system. The thesis is based on the assumption that the rising generation of workers considers socially responsible behaviour of companies as one of the factors of employer's attractiveness. The aim of the thesis is to analyze attitudes and preferences of selected representatives of generation Y regarding corporate social responsibility. The quantitative analysis is focused on the view on CSR by Charles University students of Faculty of Arts and employs an online questionnaire for data collection.
