Chloubová, Šimona ; Nováková, Kamila (referee) ; Tureckiová, Michaela (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the area of motivation programmes based on different motivation theories. In the first part I try to define the concept of motivation, explain the related concepts and I also mention the division of motivation. I consider the division of motivational and demotivational (Herzberg motivation theory) factors particularly important. The next part is based on these factors. It describes motivation programmes in areas of remuneration and appreciation, job enrichment, employee involvement and participation, employee education and development and reducing demotivation. For all programmes I try to find their theoretical sources and positive and negative sides. In the second part I create a specific frame of a motivation programme concurring to the theoretical part. I think about which types of programmes in which form can be used in the specific environment of a language school. The programme is designed for teachers. The contribution of this thesis should be especially the summary of different areas of motivation programmes and their theoretical basis.
E-learning and its usage in corporate education
Kubát, Stanislav ; Tureckiová, Michaela (referee) ; Mužík, Jaroslav (advisor)
E-learning is an educational process utilizing computer, internet, intranet, information, communication and multimedia technologies in order to improve the quality of education and cooperation of the whole educational community and to facilitate access to educational materials, services and information exchange. The objective of e-learning is efficient, fast and easily accessible education. Combined with standard forms of training (distance and full-time studies) e-learning allows one to combine the needs, schedule and opportunities of the student in an optimal way. All this is possible because the educational activities can proceed not only in educational institutions, but also in environments chosen by the student (home, working environment, holidays, traveling etc.) In this way e-learning enables one to save considerable financial expenses. These are attractive reasons for using e-learning and blended learning- not only for individuals but also for corporate training. This proves even more interesting for companies utilizing external training which is not an inexpensive undertaking.
Employment of disabled people
Adamová, Markéta ; Tureckiová, Michaela (referee) ; Mužík, Jaroslav (advisor)
In this thesis I address the issue of employment of disabled people. I used a direct approach to this theme, including information from many sources. The resulting thesis then could offer many perspectives on this theme, which is still relevant today. In my opinion, the benefit of this thesis will be to bring together many views on this broad issue. This thesis encompasses the opinions of disabled people, but also the opinions of those who help disadvantaged people to integrate into the working world, as well as the opinions of employers and nonprofit organizations. One surprising discovery was that many disabled people do not want to find full-fledged employment and prefer to be unemployed. I also wanted to address another problem, which is the lack of evaluation of programs which motivate or help the disabled find work. Lack of participation by the disabled people in the working world can bring problems not only for disabled people, but for society as a whole. Nowadays, as society gets older, a shortage of qualified workers in many of branches of industry is created. Disabled people may help to increase the amount of qualified workers, and we should take into account their economic pontential. Society does not take into account this aspect, and disabled people themselves typically do not consider...

Specific requirements of executive's functions
Krištofová, Zuzana ; Strnadová, Kateřina (referee) ; Tureckiová, Michaela (advisor)
The content of my thesis work involves informing readers of the difficult demands placed upon managers and leaders. In this thesis work I attempted to chart the skills, personal traits and abilities in which a successful manager should be abundant. In the course of studying and writing this work I realized that it isn't simply reliant upon the manager himself. It is necessary to additionally consider the organization and associated specific aspects, not only from the applicable industry perspective, but also from the perspective of the development phase, management style, corporate culture, etc. From these factors arise different demands on managers. Many experts continue to search for the universal prototype of the ideal manager and leader. They believe that the true path leads through certain character and personality elements. Despite the efforts of theoretical research, I think experience successfully shows that this ideal does not exist. Successful and effective managers and leaders are as varied as people can be nevertheless they have some common traits. On the basis of well-studied literature, I arrived upon a concise definition for an effective manager, which is of course, far from being universal. This kind of manager is equally oriented around results and people, is seriously motivated and able to...

The period we live in is characterized by change. Not only does this change affect the world around us, but also our very selves. It also has impact on functioning and general run of organizations including the field of employee education and development. It is necessary for organizations to be viable and able to withstand growing competition in the market environment to adequately react to these changes. At the beginning, but also in the course of writing of the presented doctoral thesis, I asked myself a question, how the organizations are able to cope with the mentioned problems, what innovations does this process bring to the field of human resources and more importantly education and development management, what needs and new situations does it bring about and how are the organizations able to react to all the described challenges. My goal is to introduce coaching as one of the ways of development and to offer self-contained view on this method and its implementation in the framework of education and development in organizations. Organizational culture
