Investigation of loci of points with given properties using dynamic geometry software
VÁŇA, Jan
The aim of the bachelor thesis Investigation of loci of points with given properties using dynamic geometry software is exploration of a few selected curves, witch are created as a locus of points with given properties using mathematical software GeoGebra and CoCoA. For each curve the process of determination of the locus equation and realated figures is described.
GPS Data Processing Software
Kohoutek, Pavel ; Orság, Filip (referee) ; Váňa, Jan (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to suggest and implement an application for processing data about absolved tracks in GPX format. The application displays tracks on map layers, offering the possibility of editing the tracks, naming points on the tracks and adding photographs. A whole scale of statistic data is available for each track, including elevation and speed profile graph. Moreover, the application enables users to prepare and generate a presentation including photographs and map screenshots. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with GPS navigation system, ways of recording routes (tracks), map data and application suggestion. The aim of the practical part is to implement the suggested solution and test it.
Tracking of Military Objects in a Videosignal
Hamada, Ondřej ; Váňa, Jan (referee) ; Orság, Filip (advisor)
First part of this thesis briefly describes the main problems of object tracking in video and methods to deal with them. Main attention is paid towards usage of these methods for target tracking in videos taken by both normal and thermal camera. It propose solution to this problem based on the kernel-based method which uses mean-shift algorhitm and on the template matching. Both tracking methods results are supervised and corrected by Kalman filter. Proposed solution is implemented using C++ with OpenCV library.
Experiments with Thermoscans of Hands
Foltýn, Radek ; Drahanský, Martin (referee) ; Váňa, Jan (advisor)
This identification with fingerprints or palmprints is one of the biometric methods of man's identification. This thesis deals with two problems: The first one is the hand detection in thermoscans by means of outstanding contours search (palm edge, individual fingers). The second one is the depiction of useful data from thermoscans, i.e. those ones which are connected with the given hand (separation of interfering parts).
Graphical Simulator of Shooting Tasks
Sabela, Otmar ; Váňa, Jan (referee) ; Stružka, Jaroslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis decribes a development of graphical simulator of shooting tasks. It manages the display of shooting range, evaluates shots and displays results of fire. Editor of shooting tasks is included. This simulator makes it possible to train shooters in much safer, cheaper and more space efficient manner. System analysis and design is made with UML language. The 3D setup is rendered by OpenGL, user interface is implemented with Qt framework. This application is written in programming language C++.
Car Licence Plate Detection and Recognition
Kovaříček, Roman ; Procházka, Boris (referee) ; Váňa, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with finding the license plates in the image and pattern recognition. Work describes short history of the state license plates. It deals with also the current state license plates and their problems. It analyzes the process of image segmentation and follow evaluation of selected areas. A part of the work is design and implementation of algorithms that solve candidate search areas or characters. The final step is the recognition of individual characters and display the user with details of the result.
3D Fingerprint Model Creation
Pavlík, David ; Váňa, Jan (referee) ; Dluhoš, Ondřej (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with acquiring fingerpints, basics of processing fingerprints at biometric systems and 3D model creation techniques. Main aim of this thesis is graphical application that uses fingerprint acquired with 2D fingerprint scanner and then creates 3D model of it. Application does not take curvature of finger into consideration but tries to reproduce height of papillary ridges. It's code is written in C++ with use of cross-platform user interface framework Qt. Besides 3D model creation it allows user to choose accuracy of this model and to export it in two different file formats. Possible use of this application is on the field of fingerprint liveness detection based on sweat pores. Application was tested on 50 real fingerprints and also on two different types of artifical fingerprints.
Path Finding in the Vector Data in OpenStreetMap Project
Adamček, Adam ; Procházka, Boris (referee) ; Váňa, Jan (advisor)
Pathfinding services are nowadays often used by people to plan a route through an unknown area. This bachelor's thesis deals with designing and implementation of an application which is able to search in free map data provided by the OpenStreetMap project and visualize resulting paths. During the search, not only the way types, but the selected transport type and the attributes of the eventual route will be taken into account as well. The work also contains an analysis of the OSM format and the proposal of a custom, more compact format useful for storing the preprocessed data. Eventually, the implemented application's performance is tested and its output is compared with other commonly used routing solutions.
Support of Mapping by Image Processing
Jaroš, Ján ; Herman, David (referee) ; Váňa, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with methods of detection of selected objects in video and with importing these objects into OpenStreetMap central database based on their geographic location. It focuses mainly on recognition of road signs. First section briefly describes some of the most widely used methods and OpenStreetMap project itself. In the following chapters is given a more detailed overview of used methods of proposed system, its implementation and testing. The conclusion contains evaluation of whole work and the possible improvements are listed here.
Face Detection and Identification
Konôpková, Júlia ; Drahanský, Martin (referee) ; Váňa, Jan (advisor)
This work is focused on the problematic of face detection and identification in photography. The introduction is devoted to the most popular methods with briefly descriptions of their principles and rules. Within the practical part of this work we implement and test on free available databases the several of these methods. In the conclusion we evaluate the results and addition of this whole work.
