Burnout military nurses versus civil nurses

This bachelor thesis deals with burnout syndrome. Theoretical part of this work brings the introduction to the problems and examples of persons threatened by this syndrome, description of the symptomes and the course of burnout syndrome. Further, the work brings information on potential diagnostics, prevention and interventions. Practical part maps, which group of the addressed nurses is exposed to higher risk of burnout syndrome inception, whether military or civil nurses and if the total practice time spent in health service influences the burnout syndrome inception. Analysis and evaluation follows of the burnout syndrome manifestations ascertained at the above mentioned groups, comparison and statement which group of the addressed nurses faces higher risk of burnout syndrome.
The Nursing Profession from the Point of View of Medical Students

The Bachelor thesis "The Nursing Profession from the Point of View of the Medical Students" provides insight into nursing as a profession. The thesis states the main characteristics of profession. The study describes the process of professionalization and its impact on the prestige of nursing profession. This thesis also deals with the changes in the role of nurse and the image of nursing profession. The empirical part focuses on determining the attitude of medical students to the nursing profession and the subsequent comparison of the results with previous surveys and among selected groups of students.
A violance in the medical departments and ways to solve the problem

There is no doubt that violance the crews emergency medical servis is a very serious problem with a possible hearth and, moreover, social and economic sequels. I focused on the problem of violance in the theoretical part of my work ( especially on types and possible risk factors of an cosequences of violance to the victim). Empirical research is based on analysis of the informing about attacked health workers of the ZZS HMP.
Psychosocial and organizational factors in nursing in selected non-governmental bed care institution.

The bachelor thesis "Psychosocial and Organizational Factors in Nursing in Selected Non- Governmental Bed Care Institutions" focuses on how nurses in non-state health care institutions perceive and evaluate the working environment and the conditions in which they provide nursing care. A positive assessment of the work environment has a significant impact on the quality and safety of the care provided. The work has a common structure composed of two parts, theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part provides a brief overview of the psychosocial and organizational factors that affect nursing work. Attention is paid not only to mental and physical burden, but also to organizational factors. The empirical part includes self-examination and presentation of results. The aim was to evaluate the results of our own investigation and to compare it with the results of previously conducted studies in the United States of America, Australia, Denmark and Portugal. Attitude of nurses to euthanasia

The bachelor thesis "Attitude of nurses to euthanasia" focuses on an understanding of dying, euthanasia and palliative care and their attitude to euthanasia. The work is devided into two parts - a theoretical one and an empirical one. The theoretical part describes the methodology and results of quantitative research by the use of questionaire comparing two specified groups of nurses - hospic care nurses and intensive care nurses. There are summarised findings from the investigation in the conclusion which showes the differences between intensive care nurses and hospic care nurses in attitude to euthanasia and its legislative security, but not in the knowledge of palliative care.
Nurse and her role in the field of blood donation

Bachelor thesis "The nurse and her role in blood donation" is focused on the nurses activities in attracting new blood donors evaluate the effectiveness of their efforts and propose ways to obtain new contributory blood donors. This essay consists of a theroretical and a practical part. The theoretical part is focused on the history and present of blood donation, the goals of the role of nurses in blood donation and subsequently detailed analysis of education and motivation of nurses to obtain new blood donors along with practical suggestions that can help increase the number of blood donors. The empirical part consists of a questioning, which was administered by nurses working in surgical clinics at FN Motol and blood donors from two blood donor centers - Ústav hematologie a krevní transfúze and Transfúzní oddělení Všeobecné fakultní nemocnice, with whom blood bank of FN Motol cooperates. Role of nurse in childhood injuries prevention

The theoretical part of this study is devoted firstly to the definition and conception of injury, which is further classified in accordance with intention, mechanism, place of origin type of accident and the location of the injury on the body. The section on injury prevention describes how to prevent injuries at the primary level (prevent the origin of injury), at the secondary level (reducing consequences) and at a tertiary level ( to minimize the aftereffects of injury). It also shows that the fall in the number of childhood injuries is insufficient in comparison with the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and some Scandinavian countries where Sweden and Finland achieves the best results in injury prevention. The study also describes what is done for prevention of injuries (preventive inspection, dispensary inspection and treatement of injuries). Problems are described from the first preventive examination of a new- born child, followed by preventive examinations throughout the suckling age, the toddler age, the preschool age, the younger school age, the senior/sophomore school age until adolescence /teenagers.
