Fuzz Testing of Applications Communicating via the OData Protocol
Mjachky, Ľuboš ; Fiedor, Tomáš (referee) ; Vojnar, Tomáš (advisor)
Delivering stable and reliable software to customers is difficult. Applications are prone to errors, regardless of the experience level of the developers. Automated testing methods and tools are heavily used in all phases of development life-cycle to reduce chances of bugs escaping to the users. The goal of this thesis is to design an intelligent and automated testing tool which is able to test business applications. A mishandled action performed within such an application may cause a failure with disastrous consequences. To simulate these actions, one can use testing where test cases contain invalid or random data. This testing technique is called fuzzing or fuzz testing, and it involves providing malformed or mutated data as an input to the program. The proposed tool, namely ODfuzz, is a fuzzing tool ready to test applications communicating via the OData protocol which is a protocol built on existing HTTP and REST methodologies. ODfuzz is generating and fuzzing requests that are to be sent to the server. The requests contain mutated data that pass through various code paths and may result into an application error. ODfuzz was used to test back-end modules of modern SAP applications written in the ABAP language.
Graphical User Interface for Performance Control System
Grzybowská, Martina ; Smrčka, Aleš (referee) ; Fiedor, Tomáš (advisor)
One of the most frequent ways to test system performance is the program profiling technique, which carries out a collection of resource consumption data and its subsequent evaluation leading to the detection of performance changes, whose existence may have a negative impact on the system in development. For the realization of the profiling process and more complex application performance management, there are several established solutions. Perun belongs among the newer performance managers, it provides automatization of creating as well as managing of the performance profiles. However, the current version only offers a console user interface, therefore it is not suitable for deployment to e.g. cloud. The main objective of this thesis is to specify, design and implement a graphical user interface for Perun. The resulting interface targets the core functionality such as profiling data collection based on the pre-defined configuration, its subsequent postprocessing or effective visualization, as well as the ability to clearly give information about the status of performance degradation among individual project versions. The solution is demonstrated on three non-trivial version control systems annotated by performance profiles.

An Assistant for Generating Test Suites
Červinka, Radim ; Fiedor, Tomáš (referee) ; Smrčka, Aleš (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis aims to create a web application that helps testers to perform combinatorial testing. Application called Combine generates a test set (if specified, it also generates specific parameter values into the test set) that satisfies given T-Wise coverage. This thesis describes, what is T-Wise testing and how to create a test set covering given criterion. It also focuses on the IPOG algorithm and it's implementation in Combine application.
Towards Parameterized Contract Validator in ANaConDA Framework
Mužikovská, Monika ; Fiedor, Tomáš (referee) ; Smrčka, Aleš (advisor)
This work deals with problematics of contracts for parallelism. It is a technique allowing to specify requirements for atomicity in parallel programs and to create automatic tools for detection of atomicity violation. ANaConDA framework provides dynamic analyser called Contract-validator which can detect contract violations in parallel programs. However, due to analysis without context, it can produce a lot of warnings about contract violation that are not considered as errors. The aim of this work was to design and implement a method supporting contracts extended with parameters and their constraints which will lead to more accurate results of the analysis. Experiments using newly created analyser on a set of benchmarks with known atomicity violations showed that analysis with parameters can reduce the results by dozens of reports that unnecessarily burdened developers and made it harder to reveal real errors.

Library for Profiling and Visualization of Memory Consumption of C/C++ Programs
Podola, Radim ; Peringer, Petr (referee) ; Fiedor, Tomáš (advisor)
Performance is an important and, for some classes of programs, even critical aspect of user experience. The current approaches to performance profiling are, however, far from being satisfactory. The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to extend the current state-of-the-art of profiling and visualization solutions, with novel techniques which can be used for a more efficient search of performance bugs in C/C++ programs and their subsequent interpretation to the end user. Thesis briefly introduces existing tools dealing with similar problems and then proposes a novel solution to collection of profiling data and their illustrative interpretation. The resulting implementation is, moreover, integrated in the Perun --- Performance Control System --- platform for profile versioning. The functionality of the implementation is demonstrated on a series of non-trivial programs.
Continuous Integration System for Interoperability of TLS/SSL Libraries
Šumšal, František ; Fiedor, Tomáš (referee) ; Smrčka, Aleš (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to implement a continuous integration system, which allows periodic and on-demand testing of provided Secure Socket Layer (SSL) / Transport Layer Security (TLS) libraries on supported systems, and to show the functionality and potential of such system by extending the existing interoperability test suite. The main benefit of this thesis is ensuring interoperability between the most popular SSL/TLS libraries during their development, and to discover potential issues in the shortest possible time. Presented results show found issues discovered by combining and using the implementation parts of this thesis on real world scenarios.
Web-Based Crash Data Querying Tool
Cyprian, Michal ; Fiedor, Tomáš (referee) ; Rogalewicz, Adam (advisor)
