The Eucharist as Symbol and Ritual According to Louis-Marie Chauvet
Neruda, Václav ; Bauerová, Kateřina (advisor) ; Jandejsek, Petr (referee)
This work - The Eucharist as symbol and ritual according to Louis-Marie Chauvet is a re-interpretation of Chauvet's conceptions of the symbolizing sacramentality and ritualization of the sacrament. The first part consists of explication of basic terms, a historical discourse in the way the eucharist was celebrated through the 2000-year history of the church, its philosophical and theological reflection and changes that the sacramental rite passed through. The second, main part, is dedicated to the Chauvet's contribution to the contemporary reflection of sacramental theology. The aspiration of this work is to approach the sacraments, the eucharist in particular, as a symbol that links our everyday life to the transcendence. Chauvet brings concept of "the symbolic order," of "the symbolic exchange", or "the presence of the absence". Rituality is closely linked to the symbolic aspect of the sacraments. It opens a symbolic rupture, a space, where symbols are effective and thus make human communication with God possible. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Ethics of Liberation in the Works of Enrique Dussel
Hlásek, Vít ; Halama, Jindřich (advisor) ; Jandejsek, Petr (referee)
The purpose of this thesis Ethics of Liberation in the Works of Enrique Dussel is to present and critically evaluate significant aspects of the ethics of liberation in the works of the Latin American author Enrique Dussel in connection with the historical circumstances of its origins and following development. Emphasis is laid upon the motif of community, which plays a vital role within Dussel's ethics sub pauperum lumine. Theological ethics of liberation with its methodological foundations is often considered to be problematic from the western perspective; in particular comprehension of eschatology, the reception of Marxist thoughts and its emphasis on social, economic and cultural context, is often misunderstood and rejected. The question this thesis poses is: Does the ethics of liberation with its social, economic, geopolitical and cultural transformation of contemporary global society belong as "obsolete fashion" on the "rubbish heap of history" or is it still relevant to today's society? Homolková, Marie ; Jandejsek, Petr (advisor) ; Heřmánek, Pavel (referee)
In my work I concentrate on the problem of the importance of Master John Huss for the contemporary process of convergence churches. My aim is to show the progress of the discussion about John Huss and the process of changing the thinking about him during the human history. I try to concentrate on the question whether John Huss is still the important personality and the subject for the dialogue during the contemporary effort to convergence Catholics and non-Catholics or not. John Huss was an imporatnt priest and preacher who was trying to reform the church all his life. In 1415 John Huss was sentenced and burnt as a heretic. His death became the beginning of the Hussite movement. In the middle of the 19th century the interest in John Huss was revived - he was considered to be the symbol of the Czech nation and patriotism. In the beginning of the 20th century John Huss was celebrated as a critic and antagonist of the Catholic church. The second Vatican council brought new comprehension of John Huss. During the folowing years many discussions about his life, writings and thoughts proceeded. John Huss began to be considered the part of the protestant and even catholic tradition. In 1990s new possibilities for other scientific researches of Master′s personality were appearing. In1993 conference in Bayreuth took...
