Efficiency of football clubs in Premier League

Title: Efficiency of football clubs in Premier League Objectives: The aim of this diploma thesis is to investigate the technical efficiency of Premier League clubs in the 2015/2016 season using a Data Envelopment Analysis approach. Determine which clubs worked efficiently and identify weaknesses of individual teams. Methods: The efficiency of each Premier League club is analysed by Data envelopment analysis (DEA). The efficiency is computed for input oriented CCR model (constant returns to scale) and BCC model (variable returns to scale). Results: The technical efficiency of each club in the 2015/2016 Premier League season is evaluated in the practical part of this thesis, with eight clubs achieving maximum efficiency for both CCR and BCC models. Title: The concept of internal PR in dance school Easy Dance 2000 Objectives: Creating an internal PR concept in dance school Easy Dance 2000 for the school year of 2017/2018 based on analysis carried out in dance school and selected interest groups of the dance school. Methods: The analysis of in-groups was used in this thesis for selecting the interests groups. Qualitative research methods, specifically observer surveys, in-depth interviews, and focal groups, were used for further analyzes of current situation and current relationships with interest groups. Results: The research shows that employees and members have a positive attitude towards dance school, trust each other and positively describe the overall atmosphere of the school. Problems occur in a lack of information, in group members' relationships and in dance styles, or in small possibilities of getting involved as members. The created concept includes a specific layout of tools for each month of the school year 2017/2018. Title: AC Sparta Prague Children's Membership Project Objectives: The main aim of the Diploma Thesis is a proposal to improve the project of the children's membership in the Kids Club and the Teens Club in AC Sparta Prague based on the current state of the project and the results of the marketing research. Methods: The main methods of collecting data and information used in this thesis were a marketing research focused on the satisfaction of the registered members and an in-depth interview with the manager of the project. The method includes an analysis of documents. Results: Based on the description and feedback from the current members, the Kids Club and the Teens Club may be considered a successful project falling within the overall philosophy of AC Sparta Prague. The overall concept of the children's membership project may be considered properly set, too. The selected method of registration and the registration form are evaluated positively however the pace of the whole registration process is slow. Title: Advertising campaign of the event Týden hokeje on Facebook Purpose: The main objective of this thesis is to prepare, implement and analyze the results of the Facebook advertising campaign for the event Týden hokeje, which is a part of the four-year project of the Czech Ice Hockey Association called Pojď hrát hokej. Methods: Methods in this thesis relate to two areas: advertising on social network called Facebook and qualitative research. Due to the specifics of Facebook advertisements this thesis also provides instructions for creating an advertising campaign on this network using the tools of Power Editor software. Efficiency metrics provided by Power Editor were used to evaluate the campaign on the grounds of given research queries, whereas Microsoft Excel was used to process the data of the metrics. In order to summarize all channels of marketing communication of the project and to incorporate the Facebook campaign into their enumeration, a qualitative research in the form of an informal interview with the project manager was carried out. Title: Prague Rallysprint's marketing communication Objectives: The main goal of this thesis is description and survey of the recent marketing communication of the Prague Rallysprint, and evaluation present marketing communication on the basis of finding data; alternatively create some suggestions for its improvement. Methods: In this thesis, following qualitative methods are used: structured interview, descriptive case study, analysis of documents and monitoring. Interviews show the original promotional strategy and promotional instruments. Descriptive case study was used to gain more information about promotional strategy. Document analysis helped to study internal documents like reports, marketing guides and promotional materials. Monitoring was used to visual exploration of promotional materials, so that they can be improved. This method was also focused on sponsors and their position. Title: Volunteering on sport event - Olympic Park Rio Lipno 2016 Objectives: The main objective of this bachelor thesis is to research the satisfaction of the volunteers' cooperation with The Czech Olympic Comittee at the sport event. The Olympic Park Rio Lipno 2016 Methods: The research has been carried out using questioning and observation. The quantitative method was implemented through written and electronic quastionnaires. Another method chosen for this survey was participated observation in the original environment, implemented though personal questioning. For accomplishing higher quality survey I chose to participate at this event as volunteer myself. In my role as observation volunteer, sc. an equal member of the team, was to inform the coworkers about my true identity. Results: The results of research showed that the volunteers evaluated the organization of cooperation with The Czech Olympic Commitee as average and with the course of which they were rather satisfied. Through the research I have identified the organizational shortcomings that need to be addressed in the future collaboration with volunteers. Methods: In this thesis I used qualitative method in the form of semi-structured interview and in the form of structured interview. Furthermore, I used analytical method, while analyzing the internal data. Results: The conclusion of this thesis is that the marketing communication of the fitness center nolimits is adequate, but there is a space for improvement. Following thesis is focused on analysing digital communications of Czech Olympic Committee - a national committee aiming to develop and disseminate the Olympic ideals and to represent and ensure the participation of the Czech Republic at the Olympics. It is also one of the most important subject in the Czech sport. The main task of the thesis is to analyse all digital communications of Czech Olympic committee during the Olympic Games in Rio 2016 through social networks, break down all the available data to create a comprehensive summary and based on it create more effective recommendations for digital communication during the Olympic Games in PyeongChang 201. The theoretical part introduces the reader with general information about marketing and Public Relations. Section further maps the development of communication, its forms and familiarizes readers with the most used social networks of today. Title: Marketing plan of a non-profit organization Sporťáček. Objectives: The goal of this bachelor work is to create a marketing plan that could be used as a guide for marketing activities of the organization in the year 2018. Another goal is to find out via analysis, where the deficits of currently used marketing activities are and what needs to be achieved in the following year. Next step is to suggest new strategies, which would fulfil stated marketing goals. Methods: Document analysis and participated observations were used for getting secondary data. The PEST analysis was carried out by evaluating the probability of impact and occurrence of the chosen factors. The competition analysis was based on comparison according to particular criteria. Results: The PEST analysis answered questions such as which external global aspects influence the company the most at this moment and also predicted their future development. The competition analysis showed, that the biggest threat for the organization are local organizers of events with the same purpose and same location of the event. Their advantage is a bigger support from the local sports clubs and also from local governments.
