The Municipal Library of Frýdek-Místek
Rušarová, Eva ; Šindlar, Jiljí (referee) ; Marek, Jiří (advisor)
This Bachelor’s thesis concerns about design of the building of the city library in Frýdek-Místek. The site in question is situated in the historical center of Místek delimited by streets Hlavní třída, 8. pěšího pluku and Pivovarská. Currently, the location predominantly serves as an area for parking and also includes a bulding of a marketplace accompanied by few small market stands. The remaining area isn’t used. The design of the library (including a media, games and a sound library) aims to present a fully functioning institution for the 21st century with a welcoming environment for other related activities, therefore including a multifunctional hall and a cafe. A library, as perceived in modern times, apart from serving its visitors, also fulfills the function of a platform for interaction between various groups of the city’s residents. It should be a place for quiet educating but also for lively social interaction without barriers. The thesis also includes the design of modification of the surrounding area and the connections to the current transportation infrastructure.
Design of rotary table with maximal load capacity 65 000 kg
Bezděk, Petr ; Marek, Jiří (referee) ; Hermanský, Dominik (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the design of a rotary table for machining large non-rotary workpieces up to a maximum weight of 65 000 kg. The aim of the work is to analyze and evaluate the current state of knowledge in the field of rotary tables, to create a table design according to the assignment and its 3D model with part of the drawing documentation. The theoretical part of the work searches for solutions used in the construction of rotary tables in the category of table according to the assignment. The information obtained is further used in the design of rotary table solution variants. By evaluating the weight of the required properties and their degree of fulfillment, a variant of the design solution of the table is selected, which is then designed. The individual design steps are described and explained in the text part of the work accompanied by pictures and calculations. The result of the process is a structural design of the mechanical part of the rotary table with a 3D model and partially processed drawing documentation. The contribution of the work is the summarization of relevant information for the design of rotary tables, the processed procedure of solving the design of the table and the modeled design of the rotary table. These outputs can be further treated as documentation for the production of the designed table, the development of the rotary table design to deeper details or technical development in this area.
Pavilion for Expo 2015 in Milan
Chuděj, Tomáš ; Bindr, Tomáš (referee) ; Marek, Jiří (advisor)
The motto of the Expo 2015 in Milan, is "Feeding the planet, energy for life." The main idea of the design of the pavilion is Food – energy for life. The attempt of the thesis lies in pointing on rational eating and a healthy lifestyle. Not only is the reason the influence on an individual, but the influence on a whole society. The thesis is devoted to a solution of a thematic function of the pavilion, a way of presentation, a detailed solution of the pavilion construction and subsequent recycling of the pavilion.
Visions for Krnov
Moravcová, Sofia ; Mašek, Radomír (referee) ; Marek, Jiří (advisor)
The Library is a place, which convey knowledge and information to the general public. It should be a place for a person to immerse oneself, but also provide space for communities. The library building should be representative and welcoming institution, which has an important role within the city and the events taking place in it. With these things in mind I proceeded to design this building.
LABORARTORY BRNO
Merta, Jakub ; Marek, Jiří (referee) ; Palacký, Jiří (advisor)
Gallery of art, design and architecture with a focus on exhibiting spatial objects, sculptures and architectural models. Exhibition halls are designed as a public space, which culminates in the 4th floor, where the terrace with statues and the café are. Admission is based on donations. Economic support of the gallery provide workshops and accommodation. In the part of workshop sis area for creative work. The large terrace is situated at a height comparable to that of the Moravian Square. A visitor to the terrace gets exposed to contact with the square and park Koliště while away from busy roads. The entire building is extra glass facade opens into the corner toward the Moravian Square. The facade becomes a showcase of activities taking place inside as well as the terrace becomes an attraction for passers-by.
Optimizing design of the slide CNC horizontal boring machines
Valenta, Tomáš ; Sobola, Radim (referee) ; Marek, Jiří (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with proposals for solutions to increase the stiffness of the slide for CNC horizontal boring standing in order to optimize the design of the slide. Selected problem was solved by sensitivity analysis using desegin of experiment in conditions of linear regression analysis. Data for the sensitivity analysis were obtained by using computational modeling using finite element method. The solution provides a view of the degree of influence on the deformation of the examined elements of the slide. Based on these results were selected elements with the greatest influence and created three ideological designs for improvement. Of these designs, was chose an optimal variant by PATTERN method acoording on the technical, economic and technical-economic aspect. This work offers a new look for the innovating the design to increase rigidity.
Analysis of kinematics of a ball screw mechanism
Sladký, Adam ; Marek, Jiří (referee) ; Hermanský, Dominik (advisor)
This thesis describes the process of creating a mathematical model of the kinematics of a ball screw, based upon which a computational model was made, along with an intractive Matlab user interface that serves to provide fast analysis of some of the most important parameters of the mechanism. Functionality of the presented model was verified using specific ball screw parameters. The output of this analysis was presented, analysed, and results describing the influence of operating conditions on the mechanism were derived from it. These results are one of the outputs of this thesis. Both the mathematical and computational models can serve as a tool for ball screw designers and manufacturers, and not only in their current state. They can also provide a starting point for anyone that requires a kinematic analysis for a specific configuration or problem.
Innovation of the existing feeding device solution in the context of an automated and robotic workstation
Porubský, Radek ; Marek, Jiří (referee) ; Knoflíček, Radek (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design of a new version of the production and assembly node, which is part of an automated and robotized workstation for product assembly. The main objective of modifying the original solution is to eliminate the problems of the existing solution and apply innovations to make the work process of the equipment more efficient. The main modification of the original solution is the replacement of the bowl vibratory feeders in combination with linear vibratory feeders by a flexible feeding system with camera and robot. The paper describes the process of designing a new solution for the node, which eliminates the problems of the existing solution and at the same time comes up with new innovations. By solving the problems of the original solution and introducing the innovations, the reliability, speed and smoothness of the working process of the machine is improved. The work includes, among other things, drawings, risk analysis and costing.
Increasing the productivity of the design process
Chaloupka, Michal ; Knoflíček, Radek (referee) ; Marek, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the topic of increasing the productivity of the design process in a competitive environment. The thesis consists of two parts. The first part is devoted to the explanation of the methodological approach, which is called the Brno Design School, which is based on a systemic approach standing on three key pillars, which are defined in the theoretical conception. The second part of the thesis is devoted to the proposal of a new methodology in the design process, which is presented on a specific example of a CNC machine tool. In the methodology, technical and economic criteria are proposed by means of which the different design options are evaluated. The aim of the methodology is to bring simplicity to the design process, thereby achieving savings in time, financial resources, and competitive advantage.
