Tilkovská, Klára ; Lášek, Jan Blahoslav (advisor) ; Dolista, Josef (referee) ; Weis, Martin (referee)
Klára Tilkovská Novokřtěnectví jako inspirace pro americkou náboženskou scénu Anabaptism as an Inspiration for American Religious Scene The current American religious scene, with all its manifestations, is bound to the sources of American Christianity. American Christianity was in its infancy strongly influenced by Anabaptism. Quakers, Mennonites, Amish - all of them shaped the American history as well as cultural and spiritual history. The reason of this project is to demonstrate to what measure is the current theological reflection and especially the American religious scene dependent on traditional models of Anabaptism and how far these ideas are present today. Primarily, we need to establish some common features of historical classical Anabaptism, that influenced the history of American Christianity. It is essential to briefly summarize the various Anabaptist streams in the United States of America. Finally it will be described the actual state of Anabaptists based on my own research from the year 2012.

Roule, Radek ; Lášek, Jan Blahoslav (advisor) ; Weis, Martin (referee) ; Royt, Jan (referee)
The Cross in Changing of Times and its Significance in Ancient Society The cross is the most widespread symbol appearing worldwide right from the prehistoric times. Though being formed of a very simple shape of two intersecting lines the significance is far reaching. This dissertation looks at the cross both as a sign pointing beyond itself and concentrates on the diversity of its visual appearance. It tries to trace back the possible factors preceding Antiquity influencing the formation of the actual shape in that particular period of history. Although for most part the cross is understood in its connection with the Crucifixion of Christ its history is far more complex beginning in pre-Christian era. The biblical texts present more or less mere allusions of the cross itself.
