Deployable Appendages Mechanisms for Space Applications
Pavliš, Roman ; Bartoněk, Jaroslav (referee) ; Dubnický, Lukáš (advisor)
The thesis focuses on deployable structures for space applications. Firstly, the basic terminology related to deployable structures, including deployable stages, and some space application examples, are described. After that, the thesis is focused on the classification of appendages selected based on parameteres determined specific uses for applications. In this thesis, in addition to the determination of appendages mentioned supported mechanisms that are needed in space deployable structures for proper function. Finally are compared two deployable appendages which are compatible for comparison.
Calculation of orbit for Solar research satellite
Stopka, Jiří ; Daněk, Vladimír (referee) ; Bartoněk, Jaroslav (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to propose a suitable methodology for finding orbits around the Earth in which it will be possible to create conditions for a total solar eclipse. The methodology for orbit determination is designed and implemented through a Pascal scripting language, which is included in this work. The resulting orbits obtained using the proposed methodology are mutually evaluated. The thesis also includes a discussion on the scope of applicability of this methodology.
Remotorization of the L60 aircraft
Sahrai, Daniel ; Bartoněk, Jaroslav (referee) ; Imriš, Pavel (advisor)
The subject of the diploma thesis is the replacement of the power unit to the Aero L-60 "Brigadýr" aircraft. The reason for such a conversion is the ending life of the original power unit, accumulating technical problems and the effort to achieve higher aircraft performance during normal operation. In the introduction, the aircraft is introduced and there are mentioned the results achieved in the selection of a suitable power unit during the previous work. Furthermore, the work briefly deals with the issue of certification and selection of a suitable method that will lead to the approval of the change and to maintain the airworthiness of the aircraft. The work also addresses the effects of reconstruction on the center of gravity of the aircraft, which are minimized by the appropriate design of the engine mount. The model of such a engine mount was created in the computer software CATIA V5 and subsequently a strength analysis of nine loading cases was performed on it. Furthermore, an analytical inspection of the engine bed tubes on the struts and a check of the strength of the bolts connecting the engine mount to the aircraft airframe were performed. At the end of this work is described the practical installation of the engine and engine mount, including other engine systems.
Conversion kit for L-410 cargo version
Jurda, Martin ; Píštěk, Antonín (referee) ; Bartoněk, Jaroslav (advisor)
This master‘s thesis deals with the design of a safety barrier for the conversion of the L 410 aircraft to a cargo version. The introduction is focused on the description of the use of the aircraft with the subsequent classification of the proposed reconstruction and the compilation of the necessary changes for the reconstruction of the aircraft according to regulations. The work continues with a conceptual and structural design, which provides detailed structural solutions to the barrier. Another part is the strength verification of the designed barrier parts using FEM calculation. The last chapter is a comparison of the modified aircraft with aircraft of the same category used for cargo transport.
Aircraft safety Analysis due to bird strikes
Hrotko, Patrik ; Bartoněk, Jaroslav (referee) ; Chlebek, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the problems of bird strikes. It examines significant factors that contribute to the occurrence of these strikes as well as potential damage to the affected aircraft and on the flight itself. The thesis also looks at legislative documents that specify requirements for the bird strike resistance of aircraft structures. Besides this, it gives an overview of current methods that are employed to ensure biological protection of airports with the aim of reducting the risk of bird strikes and pays attention to the effectivness of these methods.
Influence of space debris on satellites design
Hláčik, Adam ; Lazar, Václav (referee) ; Bartoněk, Jaroslav (advisor)
Bakalárska práca sumarizuje problém kozmického odpadu a jeho vplyvu na konštrukciu satelitov. Hlavným cieľom práce je spojiť teoretické poznatky získané skúmaním a experimentami s ich praktickou implementáciou v konštrukčnom prístupe zvanom „design for debris“. Práca sa v teoretickej časti venuje charakteristikám kozmického odpadu. Poznatky uvedené v tejto časti musia byt zohľadnené pri návrhu misie a konštrukcie satelitu. Praktická časť práce demonštruje prístup „design for debris“ na modelovej prípadovej štúdii.
Adjusting mechanism of a small rocket engine for space exploration vehicles
Vrana, Andrej ; Popela, Robert (referee) ; Bartoněk, Jaroslav (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with designing adjustable gimbal mechanisms used for steering a small rocket engine and their depiction in 3D CAD models. The thesis is divided into two main parts. In the first part, spacecraft used for exploration of celestial bodies are described. All the spacecraft are described in detail, showing their mission phase, their design and technical parameters together with informations about their scientific discoveries, which they provided. The second part describes how rocket engines work with their division into main types and gives examples of rocket engines used in the aerospace industry. Furthermore, means of steering a rocket during flight are described, with also showing various ways of dealing with this issue. Finally, designs of of adjustable gimbal mechanisms are presented, with description of their usability.
Rejected aircraft prototypes
Moštěk, Daniel ; Bartoněk, Jaroslav (referee) ; Dubnický, Lukáš (advisor)
The bachelor thesis focuses on seven rejected prototype aircraft that took part in tendering processes in Western Bloc countries during the Cold War. The development history of each of these aircraft is summarized, their technical properties are specified, the reason of their rejection is explored, and a comparison is made between them and the preferred aircraft. An assessment of gathered information is then made resulting in the conclusion that studying these rejected prototype aircraft can lead to valuable insights.
Design and overview of unmanned vehicles for exploration of space objects
Dostálová, Adéla ; Lazar, Václav (referee) ; Bartoněk, Jaroslav (advisor)
The content of this bachelor’s thesis is overview of unmanned vehicles for exploration of space objects. The first part of this thesis adress probes that have been sent to the Moon. Summarizes their parameters and results of individual missions. The second part focuses on probes sent to Mars, their contribution and technical specifications. Comparison of conceptual solutions of space probes is also included in this thesis.
Optimal modelling of rivet joints using finite element method
