Pressure drop in modern pipeline
Přikryl, Pavel ; Pokorný, Jan (referee) ; Elcner, Jakub (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the development of pipeline materials and especially aims on the current trends. It describes metal, plastic and multi-layer materials. Following part compares and evaluates these materials. This work includes a project and a realization of a model circuit in order to compare price and pressure drops of different pipeline materials.
Acausal modelling of termomechanical problems using Modelica
Shestakov, Andrey ; Elcner, Jakub (referee) ; Pokorný, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis was the development of a library for solving thermodynamics tasks in Modelica. The library contains models of cycles working with both the ideal gas, and the real substances. The main part of the work is the description and modeling of Steam Rankine Cycle and Organic Rankine Cycle that are applied in Waste Heat Recovery (WHR). The working principle of both cycles is similar. The main difference is in the working fluid. In this work, we give a technical economical assessment of the application of ORC system in concrete industry for energy costs reduction. The change of ORC parameters with the choice of particular working fluid is the main task of the thesis. Based on the simulated model results for selected working fluids (water, Cyclopentane, Toluene, Heptane, R123 and R245fa), we concluded that the highest efficiency was achieved with R245fa refrigerant for Organic Rankine Cycle in case of selected initial conditions.
Steel structure for the the stationary hydraulic unit
Petr, Tomáš ; Pokorný, Jan (referee) ; Pokorný, Přemysl (advisor)
The main theme of this diploma thesis is a description and a strength analysis of several steel structures of valve frames used by Bosch Rexroth, s. r. o. The first part sums up possibilities of fastening of hydraulic control elements. Furthermore, current types of valve frames were described. The strength analysis of three steel structures was output of using the finite elements method. The result of these analysis was the determination of the loads and critical points of individual structures. In the end of this study, new structures for one block frame were designed to modify the critical locations of the original solution.
Drivers clothing thermal resistance database for iHVAC system
Hrubanová, Kristýna ; Pokorný, Jan (referee) ; Fišer, Jan (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on measurement of thermal properties of clothes by thermal manikin and on application of results for prediction of thermal comfort in system iHVAC. First part of thesis is dedicated to research with relation to this topic and to definitions of main computational equations necessary for experimental measurement. The choise of method for measurement based on available standards is an important part of this thesis. The main focus of thesis lies on measuring 5 combinations of clothes at different calibration temperatures and same temperature of manikin surface. Then data are examined and also the analysis of uncertaities and repeatability is maked. According to assupmtion , the independence of value of heat transfer coefficient to ambient temperature is comfirmed and calculated heat resistance of every single clothes is compared to existing wardrobe for system iHVAC. The outcome of this thesis is specificied and completed virtual wardrobe which serves to prediction of thermal comfort in car.
Functional testing of software applications
Heinová, Tereza ; Souček, Jiří (advisor) ; Pokorný, Jan (referee)
Bachelor thesis describes the course of functional software testing. The first part defines the place and importance of testing in software development process. Explains the basic types of tests used and their purpose. Attention is paid to the roles that are in the process of testing a key role. In the second part of the work, a more detailed description of all phases of the life cycle of functional testing software. The cornerstone of the testing cycle of planning, explained there is access to the drafting process and its testing schedule. The second phase is to prepare an environment for testing. Following the completion of testing followed by evaluation of test results. Here are discussed the principles of entering errors and their subsequent solutions. Part of the preparation for testing is the selection of appropriate support tools and the creation of test scripts. Conclusion The thesis evaluates the importance of testing in software development process.
Mark-up languages and their usage
Smíšek, Ondřej ; Pokorný, Jan (advisor) ; Černoš, Ondřej (referee)
The aim of this bachelor's thesis is mark-up languages and their usage in an effective transport and storage of information. Mark-up languages were created after expansion of a computer technology among scientists. The origins of languages can be dated at the first half of 60s in the 20th century. First mark-up systems were created at universities and science workplaces in the USA for desktop publishing needs. They were used for a semantic description and format output of documents after that. A development of the Internet and DTP meant growth of these languages. There was a boom when the Web was born. At present the XML language penetrates to all spheres of computer industry for its universality, openness and adaptability. The future of the Web probably belongs to the HTML5 multimedia format.
Current possible arrangements for a company's document management and circulation
Kučerová Zrálíková, Václava ; Pokorný, Jan (advisor) ; Lipková, Helena (referee)
The thesis analyzes the area of enterprise content management (ECM), identifies its relation to other business applications and defines various stages of the life cycle of documents. It also describes individual components of ECM, including the technologies covering these components. A tool for managing and storing documents (DMS) in ABC company is presented in more detail in the practical part. The Exact Synergy Enterprise software demonstrates its advantages and disadvantages affecting document management and operational problems that this kind of software may carry.
Vodní režim blatkových borů na Třeboňsku a vodní provoz jejich dominant
Kučerová, Andrea ; Pokorný, Jan (advisor) ; Laiho, Raija (referee) ; Albrechtová, Jana (referee)
The thesis was intended to fill the information gap in the ecohydrology of the Pinus rotundata dominated peatbogs in the Třeboň Basin Biosphere Reserve, Czech Republic by studying various aspects of their water régime (i.e., transpiration of the dominant tree species, soil water chemistry, retention ability). The study is based on regular monitoring of the water table, water discharge, soil water chemistry and precipitation (during 1995-2000, study sites Červené blato and Žofinka peatbogs). Additionally, the transpiration of adult Pinus rotundata trees was measured in the field during 1999-2000 at the experimental plot in the Červené blato peatbog (330 ha, 465-475 m a.s.l.). Nowadays, the Pinus rotundata-dominated peatbogs represent almost natural (peaty) forests inside of otherwise human-made forest plantations. Long-term vegetation changes after natural disturbances such as windstorms, insect infestation and fire are only occasionally reported for the central European natural forests. Therefore the evaluation of vegetation changes after disturbances, typical of boreal forests, and their impact on peatbog hydrology has also been included in this thesis (study site Žofinka peatbog, 130 ha, 470-475 m a.s.l.). Transpiration of the central European endemic tree species, Pinus rotundata Link, was...
The Safer Internet Programme and the possibilities of its application in the Czech Republic
Volfová, Michaela ; Slámová, Hana (advisor) ; Pokorný, Jan (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to introduce the Safer Internet Programme of European Union and to describe possibilities of its implementation in the Czech Republic. In the introductory chapter the thesis analyses the European approach to a safer internet, describes its history and emphasizes its main aims and objectives. The chapter also briefly presents particular projects and events held within the Safer Internet Programme. Furthermore describes European Self- Regulation Frames focused on the safe mobile phone and social networking webs usage. The second part of the thesis is devoted to exploring a safe internet in the Czech Republic. Attention is above all paid to educational activities of the Safer Internet National Centre and other institutions. The closing chapter describes the survey (the process and the results) and evaluates the impact of these activities on the selected Prague primary school.
