The analysis of regional unemployment in the Czech Republic from the perspective of the cohesion policy in the European Union
Mach, Martin ; Wokoun, René (advisor) ; Kouřilová, Jana (referee)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to characterize and judge, if the cohesion policy of the European Union really reflects regional differences of the unemployment in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part is oriented mainly on describing the unemployment from the perspective of the economic theory. The empirical part is focused on the development of the unemployment in the Czech Republic, and actual data are compared with the European Union. In this part is also the cohesion policy of the European Union generally introduced. After this follows the main chapter of this diploma thesis, which analyzes the unemployment in each region in the Czech Republic from the perspective of chosen indicators. The final chapter aims to answer the pointed goal of the thesis with the help of all available data.
Impact of the intensive agriculture on the ecological functions of the landscape
MACH, Michal
This aim of this thesis was to compare the value of ecological functions of two areas with different intensity of the agricultural management. The expert methods of Seják et al. (2003, 2010) were used for the calculation of the ecological value of the area and of the value of ecosystem services. The BVM (Biotope Valuation Method) was used for the calculation of the ecological value. The Replacement Cost method was used for the calculation of the value of ecosystem services. The following services were evaluated: the flood-protective, production of the above-ground biomass, retention of the nutrients, support of biodiversity, production of oxygen, climatical service, and support of small water cycle. The rate of tillage was used as the indicator of the intensity of the agricultural management (25 % for the area I and 83 % for the area II), which corresponded to the proportion of natural biotops (60 biotops with total area of 108 ha in area I and 35 biotops with total area of 34 ha in area II).
Biogas Plant and its impact on the environment.
MACH, Marek
In my work I try to bring the topic of meaning and operation of biogas plants and their possible noisy burden on the surrounding environment, especially in populated parts of the municipalities in which the biogas plants are located. The theoretical part is focused on all traffic biogas, from their division, despite possible inputs and outputs, and the processes that happen inside the station. The theoretical part also contains noise that can be issued for machinery undisturbed environment. The practical part of this work was to measure the noise emitted by the station at full capacity, and if possible under all operating conditions, such as management of raw materials and export of digestate. From the measured values, we will try to determine if stations do not affect the life of the surrounding communities and their residents.
The causes of the current financial crisis and their impact on the regulatory framework
Mach, Milan ; Bič, Josef (advisor) ; Zapletal, Petr (referee)
The main topic of this thesis is the 2007 global financial crisis, its causes and impact on the regulation of financial sector both in Europe and the United States. Based on the described causes, its aim is to evaluate the aptness of proposed or already enacted regulatory changes in the financial sector. The first part of this paper deals with the chain of events and trends leading to the outbreak of the mortgage crisis in the US and its subsequent spillover into the rest of the financial sector. The second part focuses on naming the main causes of this development and analyzing them. The final part of this thesis follows the reactions of national and supranational regulatory bodies in Europe and the US, assigns the individual measures to the causes they are supposed to solve, and compares the approaches in the frame of the Euro-Atlantic space.
Monetary disequilibrium in the theory of endogenous money
Korda, Jan ; Koderová, Jitka (advisor) ; Mach, Miloš (referee) ; Mertlík, Pavel (referee)
The thesis deals with monetary disequilibrium in the theory of endogenous money. In the new consensus economics, money is endogenous and passive. Money market is not considered and if yes, then only in an implicit equilibrium, whereas mechanisms ensuring this equilibrium are not discussed. In post-Keynesian economics, there is an explicit discussion, whether monetary disequilibrium may occur. Horizontalists argued for equality of money supply and money demand. On the other hand, arguments of some structuralists based on an independent demand for money function show that monetary disequilibrium may occur. The thesis therefore analyses mechanisms ensuring equilibrium in the money market. The only mechanism among them which enables the passivity of money is the reflux mechanism. However, it can not be regarded as universal since not all economic subjects which create demand for money are in debt to the banking system. For that reason accommodation of some factors of money demand function is necessary and money is endogenous and active. Econometric tests studying independent money demand and the consequent possibility of monetary disequilibrium based on Granger causality tests seem to be methodologically problematic and showing mixed results. Monetary disequilibrium can not be ruled out. Contemporary monetary policy based mainly on new consensus approach thus omits one channel of monetary policy transmission. Theoretical analysis suggests that monetary equilibrium has to be (at least partly) restored through changes in factors of money demand, which can lead to changes of other macroeconomic variables including inflation.
A practical look at use of social networks for small and medium business
Mach, Michal ; Pavlíček, Antonín (advisor) ; Matuštík, Ondřej (referee)
Internet and Internet communication technologies have become an integral part of life for most of us. Commercial potential of these technologies has already been identified. The advent of new forms of communication and sharing content on the Internet, so-called Web 2.0, brought new trend to our lives. This new trend with great potential for further commercialization of the Internet, are social networks. This thesis deals mainly with issues of use of social networks for commercial communication. Social networks offers a wide range of opportunities for business development on the Internet in the future. Volume of use of social networks in the future depends not only on users of social networks, but also on skills and experience of corporate entities. The goal of the thesis is to provide a comprehensive view on this issue, analyze the current uses of each commercial channel on social networks and provide insight to possible future progress. The work is divided into three chapters. The first, theoretical part, defines online communication channels, social networks and analyse basic problems of commercial use of social networks. In the second part author provides an overview of the possibilities of use of social networks and their potential, their advantages and disadvantages. And also methods how to enter a field of social networking with a business. The third part is a case study of use of social networks for business development in a particular company. In this charter author applies knowledge from the theoretical part. Reader of the thesis should thus gain a complete understanding of the issues of commercial uses of social networks. In theoretical, and also in practical direction. The thesis could thus be a applicable guide for the use of all the opportunities that social networks provide these days. The benefit for the reader should be the ability to apply theoretical and practical procedures for developing their own business.

Vybrané procesy v tekutých kovech řízené elektromagnetickým polem a jejich počítačová simulace
Mach, M. ; Doležel, Ivo
The paper presents some important results obtained by the authors during the three-year work in the domain of electromagnetic stirring and levitation melting. From the viewpoint of mathematical modeling both processes represent coupled problems characterized by mutual interaction of two or three physical fields, together with evaluation of various force effects. The theoretical analysis is illustrated on two typical examples whose results are discussed
Elektromagnetické a teplotní pole v roztaveném hliníku míchaném v kelímkové indukční peci
Barglik, J. ; Doležel, Ivo ; Ulrych, B. ; Mach, M. ; Trutwin, D.
The paper deals with the mathematical and computer modeling of quasi-coupled electromagnetic, temperature and hydrostatic fields in molten aluminium in a typical crucible induction furnace. After the process of melting, the melt is further inductively heated to reach the casting temperature that is typically higher by about 200 C than the melting point. Then the active power of inductors is reduced to a level making possible only to keep the temperature at that value. During that time, however, more or less intensive stirring of the melt takes place because of presence of the Lorentz forces acting in melt.
Porovnání 2D a 3D modelu dávkovače zinku
