Drive of control ring PVE Merkersbach
Skoupý, Jiří ; Veselý, Jindřich (referee) ; Kašpárek, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis is focused on determination of forces acting to regulation ring of water power plant Markersbach (Germany). Solution of the problem is realized for two variants of servomotors – with and without servomotors acting surfaces balancing. Next topics of this thesis are strenght calculation of piston rod and bottom of the servomotors. Minimalization of the size of servomotors plungers by change of regulation kinematics has been done and minimal pressure in the pressure tank is determined. At the conclusion of this thesis received results are mentioned and its interpretation has been done. This thesis is provided for company Litostroj Power, ČKD Blansko Engineering, a.s.
Hydraulic solution of the swirl turbine for locality of Rosenauer mill
Pavlíček, Tomáš ; Veselý, Jindřich (referee) ; Haluza, Miloslav (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the design of a swirl turbine for the site of Rosenauer Mill, where the gross hydraulic head HB is 1 m and the flow rate is Q is 1.6 m3/s. The beginning of the work is dedicated to microturbines and explains why a swirl turbine is suitable for this location. The procedure applied for developing the hydraulically active surfaces of the turbine is then presented. Firstly the design of the blades is based on analytical formulas, which are further refined using the CFX Ansys program. The turbine is closely affected by the inlet and draft tube, therefore their design is also included in this thesis. The hydraulic calculations yield the resulting parameters and characteristics of the designed turbine, calculated from the entire assembly using CFD computations. The final section of the work is devoted to the design of main structural components such as the gear, shaft, and bearings. The hydraulic design developed in this thesis serves as the basis for implementing the swirl turbine and constructing a small hydraulic power plant at the Rosenauer Mill.
The runner for the straight-flow turbine for small hydro power Sobotín
Žižka, Jakub ; Veselý, Jindřich (referee) ; Haluza, Miloslav (advisor)
The thesis deals with the problem of optimizing an existing unused turbine for use in a different location than the designed. The goal is to reduce the flow through the turbine by changing the runner geometry while increasing the head, with the least possible decrease in efficiency. The individual modifications of the hydraulic shape are based on the knowledge of the basic relations for the designing of hydrodynamic machines. Numerical fluid mechanics is a tool for validating the effect of individual adjustments. The hydraulic design of the new runner and draft tube of the axial propeller turbine with a fixed guide vanes is performed. Based on the CFD simulation, a universal turbine characteristic with a new hydraulic shape is compiled.
The diagonal pump in turbine regime
Šimunek, Ondřej ; Veselý, Jindřich (referee) ; Haluza, Miloslav (advisor)
The thesis is focused on hydraulic design of a semi-axial pump with an axial diffusor with guide vane. The pump is designed with respect to the turbine mode so that it can be used for low-potential energy harvesting or energy storage. The design of the pump is assessed by numerical fluid mechanics using commercial software Ansys CFX.
Socratic Question as a Basis of the Care for One's Soul According to Jan Patocka
Matuška, Štěpán ; Karfíková, Lenka (advisor) ; Veselý, Jindřich (referee)
This thesis deals with the topic of the Socratic question as a basis of the care for one's soul in Patocka's texts within the period from 30th to 50th years of the 20th century. This topic is here divided into three larger coherent units. The first part deals with the Patocka's understanding of Socratic care for one's soul as a historical moral self-creation of man having a character of negatively oriented transcension, which is not determined by ideas, but associated in its way of distance from objectivity with motive of knowing unknowing about the last good. The second part of this thesis deals with Patocka's comprehending of Plato as a creator of metaphysical thinking, in which core stands this negatively oriented experience of Socratic moral reversal. Plato, however, this experience of originally unobjectivated horizon according to Patocka's interpretation objectivates as the world of eternal ideas. Patocka as a central interpretative motive of this experience inserts in his own interpretation of Plato the term of Being inspired by Heidegger, which is very close to Plato's Idea of Good laying beyond all divides of essence (ἐπέκεινα τῆς οὐσίας). The last part of this thesis concerns with Patocka's own attempt to understand Plato's Idea by unobjective means. Although thus interpreted Idea is relieved of...
De triplici Via / About the Triple Way of Saint Bonaventure (translation and commentary)
Veselý, Jindřich ; Wernisch, Martin (advisor) ; Karfíková, Lenka (referee)
This work brings czech translation and commentary of saint Bonaventure ́s work De triplici via. The first part of the text reports on life and work of saint Bonaventure and contextualizes De triplici via by paying attention to other mystical works of Bonaventure. First part also asks the question of actuality of this script. Next part deals with this script as whole, with its theological themes and structure. The main part then brings comprehensive and at times critical commentary and the czech translation of the script. Final part brings short consideration of the question of script ́s actuality, asked at the beginning. As supplement the work contains also latin text of De triplici via. Myth in Jan Patočka ́s Thinking
Veselý, Jindřich ; Karfíková, Lenka (advisor) ; Ritter, Martin (referee) ; Novotný, Karel (referee)
The aim of this dissertation, Myth in Jan Patočka ́s thinking, is to explore the issue of the myth in Jan Patočka ́s philosophy. This thinker dealt with myth during all his life, although not systematically, and he discussed it in various contexts and perspectives. The dissertation wants to introduce development of Patočka ́s thinking from this particular point of view in its continuity and discontinuity as well, it tries to reconstruct this meditation and also inquires its function in whole Patočka ́s thinking and its coherence. We presuppose unifying centre of Patočka ́s philosophy, finite being ́s movement of transcendence, and we interpret the issue of the myth in its relation to this centre. We endeavour to depict Patočka ́s unfoldment of this issue, but we also inquire questionable aspects of his thinking. In our opinion there is certain fluctuation or ambiguity in basic foundations of Patočka ́s philosophy. His conception is weakened by questionable presuppositions. That leads to statements difficult to keep. Our conclusion outlines an alternative conception of relation between myth and finite being ́s transcendence and instead of impossible overcoming of myth we propose conscious adoption and responsible modification of indispensable narrative background of all experience. Hydraulic properties of siphon and direct flow swirl turbine
Hudec, Martin ; Šulc, Jan (referee) ; Veselý, Jindřich (referee) ; Habán, Vladimír (advisor)
Non-stationary processes are associated with the operation of water machines. They are important for their reliable and safe operation. Prediction and modeling of such states using a 1D mathematical model verified on a model in the laboratory is an advantage. The work is focused on the description of a pair of transient states that are related to siphon turbines and their operation. Determination of critical flow values for inducing a suction effect and, conversely, calculation of the minimum size of the flow coefficient for safe stopping. The experiments were performed on a laboratory model and compared with operational data from a small hydroelectric power plant Želina.
Hydroelastic Response of Hydrofoil Under Cavitation Conditions
