In the theorecical part,the notions adolescence, gender, single life, planned parenthood and sexual education were explained together with a brief overview of contraceptive methods. Also, the motherhood, the father's role,the mother's role, the family and the parenthood were clarified. In the empirical part, I surveyed the knowledge of the contrateption and the planned parenthood with the students of a grammar school and of a secondary school. I searched for their knowledge of Postcoital contraception as well as of the termination of pregnancy. I also surveyed who is more informed, whether boys or girls.
Assessment during the course and effects of cardiopulmonary resuscitation

The objective of this bachelor thesis is the assesment during the course and the effect of cardiopulmonary resuscitation in Hospital Kolin, a.s. The theoretical part contains chapters describing cardiopulmonary resuscitation according to the current recommendations, adult education, competencies of the general nurse and lifetime education in the organization in general. The empiric part is focused on the didactic evaluation of the course as well as participants' evaluation, evaluation of skills and knowledge of the participants as the effectiveness indicator. Lastly, in the final part there are suggestions for changes which could optimize the course. The target group was the participants of the CPR course - doctors and general nurses of Hospital Kolin, a.s.

The theoretical part is devoted to the pathophysiology of benign uterine disorders, causes, diagnosis, symptoms and treatment. It describes the most common method of therapy - hysterectomy and notes in particular the education of woman patients after surgery. Another part of the thesis deals with the concept of personal illness beliefs whose knowing is a guide to an effective education. The centre of the work lays in the quantitative and qualitative research using two different tools, questionnaires IPQ-R-CZ and MIQ-CZ interviews in the target groups of patients. A key objective of the work is to design an educational material intended for clinical use for women who underwent surgical removal of the uterus.

A czech nurse's perspective on nursing care in Saudi Arabia

Author: Tereza Bratinková A czech nurse's perspective on nursing care in Saudi Arabia This bachelor thesis analyzes - from a Czech nurseś perspective - the issue of transcultural nursing in context of caring for an Arab Muslim patient. In the theoretical part terms such as migration, cultural shock and facts describing the region of Saudi Arabia are highlighted and defined. The key komponent is a qualitative research focused on Czech nurses'experience and findings acquired during their stay in Saudi Arabia. The research part deals with partial questions concerning difficult aspects of the stay, fulfilled expectations return to Saudi Arabia, the quality of care being provided in Saudi Arabia and the issue of dying in Arabic culture. The main research question whether working experience in Saudi Arabia had been beneficial for Czech nurses has also been answered. Results and outcomes of this thesis will be subsequently published in scholarly papers.

This bachelor's research thesis is focused on the toddlers' injuries and their prevention. The main goal of this research is to find out if parents are informed about injury prevention at this particular stage of the child's life. The work stresses the seriousness of this topic. This work is based on statistical data from childhood injuries. The main part of this work is a survey of the circumstances of children's injury prevention. The research sample consists of parents in the Hradec Králové area who have children between the ages of one and three. The research survey took place over a seven month period.
Quality of life of dialysis patients

Purpose of this Bachelor theses is to point out the quality of life of patients in chronic dialysis program. The theoretical part deals with chronic renal failure - causes, risk factors and complications, hemodialysis - the principle, inclusion in the chronic dialysis program and chronic and acute complications, renal transplantation and vascular approaches enabling dialysis. The author then discusses the quality of life as a such and the possibilities of determination of quality of life. The aim of the empirical part was to investigate the quality of life of chronic dialysis patients, their family backgrounds, occupations, leisure activities, their subjective 123 perception of physical condition and emotional state. Quantitative research conducted at the dialysis centre of University Hospital in Prague was used for this purpose.
Women awareness and attitude to breast cancer prevention in Hradec Kralove

Bachelor's thesis deals with awareness and attitudes of women in the prevention of breast cancer. The samples are women in the area of Hradec Králové region in different age categories. The theoretical part includes anatomy and physiology of the mammary gland, types of breast cancer, including diagnostic and therapeutic methods. It also examines the risk factors and possibilities of prevention of breast cancer. The empirical part contains quantitative survey, which determines the interest of women and women's attitude towards the prevention of breast cancer, breast self-examination, knowledge of mamography screening. It also explores the knowledge of risk factors and presence of risk factors in a group of respondents. Research sample consists of 94 women aged from 20 to 80 years.
