Valuation of ESTCOM CZ - oxidová keramika a.s.

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate enterprise ESTCOM CZ oxide ceramics Inc. for the purpose of sale to the general candidates on the market. The goal is to find the market value on December 31, 2014. The first part is theoretical and it summarizes the currently valid theoretical knowledge of recognized experts. T he second part is the practical part. It consists of financial and strategic analysis, followed by a chapter of value drivers and a financial plan. The financial plan was drawn up for the years 2015 2019. At the end of the thesis is company valued using discounted cash flow method discounted cash flow method and the capitalized earnings method.

The valuation of Český porcelán, a.s.

The aim of this diploma thesis is the determination of market value for Český porcelán, a.s. to the date of December 31, 2014 for the purpose of sale for average investor on the market. The thesis is divided into two main parts. Theoretical part is focused on definition of main terms, explaining of process and methods used for the company valuation. This is followed by a practical part, where are these information applied in practice. It contains of financial analysis, which is evaluating financial health, strategic analysis defining its position on the market. After analysis is drawn up the financial plan, which leads into valuation of Český porcelán, a.s. using DCF Entity.

Valuation of the MSV Metal Studénka, a.s.

The diploma thesis is focused on the topics of reorganization and business valuation. The goal of this thesis is not only determination of business value of MSV Metal Studénka, a.s. by DCF equity method, but also description of reorganization process and evaluation of the financial situation for the period from year 2010 to 2014. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. There is described methodological apparatus in theoretical part, which is then applied in the practical part. In order to meet the goals the strategic analysis, financial analysis and forecasting methods are used. For the business valuation there is used discounted cash flow to the firm (DCF) method.

Analysis of the functioning of the franchise model in the banking sector on the example UniCredit Bank Czech Republic and Slovakia, a.s.

The aim of this thesis is to analyze the functioning of the franchise model in the banking sector on the example UniCredit Bank Czech Republic and Slovakia, a.s. and form a complete picture of the function of this concept. Thesis comprehensively summarizes the principles of the franchise system in banking both the general terms and the specific case of business places of the UniCredit Bank Expres. The topic is current due to the growing popularity of franchising and its potential application in the other areas. In literature the issue of franchising is not fully described neither in a theoretical way nor practical. The subject will be examined through qualitative research of processes, relationships and circumstances in the banking environment in the context of a franchise system. Research methods consist mainly of participant observation and interview at various levels of management and also of analysis the bank documents. The theoretical part is focused on characteristics and development of franchising and solves its legislation. Furthermore, the theory deals with the banking sector and define its relations to franchising. The subject of the practical part is the analysis of the franchising concept function. Thesis will map the process of creating a banking franchise and analyzes the operation of the franchise branches and its position within the bank, including specifics resulting from the nature of business in this field. In conclusion the thesis solves the risks arising from franchising in banking and evaluates the functionality of this model.

This thesis focuses on the financial analysis of the Czech company České dráhy, a.s. Its main objective is the assessment of current financial results with regards to recent shift in the competitive landscape. The result of such evaluation should serve as an underlying material for implementing new measures on boosting the effectiveness of the business. This thesis consists of a theoretical part which introduces the methodology of the financial analysis and of a practical part which assess the overall financial health of the selected company.

Business plan

The aim of this thesis is to create a business plan for the newly established company that will run a hotel for dogs. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part describes the nature, purpose and structure of the business plan. The essential parts of the plan are described separately. Furthermore, the general issues in business, together with the specifics of Czech legislation linked with choosing a legal form of business are described as well. The practical part is devoted to business plan of fictitious company Petville, which runs a hotel for dogs and other small pets. The business plan includes the introduction of the business idea and the company as well as market analysis, marketing strategy proposal and also the financial plan with a view to four years. The financial plan is drawn up in three variants of possible future developments.

Economic analysis of the company ArcelorMittal Ostrava, a. s.

Diploma thesis deals with the Economic analysis of a company ArcelorMittal Ostrava, a. s. and evaluates its economic condition from 2010 until 2014. Thesis involves strategic analysis and financial analysis. Author describes the topic with a perspective of an external analyst and used companys annual report as his fundamental source. The strategic analysis is based on its micro and macro environment and SWOT analysis as well. The Financial analysis includes calculation of absolute, differential and ratio indicators. On top of that financial analysis contains the pyramid decomposition of the return on equity, economic value added, the bankruptcy and solvency models and comparison among other companies. Based on his research author concludes with recommendations which could lead to improvement of companys economic and market position. Most important findings are summarized and companys condition is evaluated at the end of this thesis.

Comparison of successful and unsuccessful restructurings

Restructuring as one of the ways of solving insolvency is a method, that is supposed to allow preservation of the operation of the debtor`s company. Part of the restructurings however later converts into bankruptcy orders. The objective of this thesis is an identification of the key factors that lead to a successful fulfilment of the restructuring plan and also factors that might lead to their conversion into bankruptcy orders. The first part of this thesis is dedicated to insolvency and methods of its resolution among others according to the act no. 182/2006 Coll. on Insolvency and Methods of its resolution (Insolvency Act). The second part is dedicated to the selected factors and their possible influence on successful or unsuccessful completion of the restructuring. The conclusion includes a summary of important findings concerning whether and if so, what kind of connection is there between the selected factors and their influence on the successful completion of restructurings.

The objective and main aim of this Master´s Thesis is to analyze the working capital and its management in the company Siemens, s.r.o. as a member of concern Siemens and eventually to propose the appropriate arrangements to improve the procedures and reduce the shortcomings detected. Financial statements and annual reports are to be subject to horizontal and vertical analyses, as well as financial ratios. Furthermore, each separate component within the working capital will be reviewed; receivables, inventories, cash and current liabilities. In conclusion, the results of analyses will be explicated a possible influence on company´s or concern´s performance revealed.

Factors influencing consumer behavior of the population and the possible interactions between them

This thesis analyzes the effects of various factors on consumer behavior of the population and their subsequent manifestations in consumer purchase decision-making process. The first part describes general concepts of consumer behavior and then it is followed by an analyse of cultural, sociological, psychological and ecnomic effects. Each chapter also specifficaly describes how these factors may affect consumers themselves. The theoretical section is folowed by the practical part, in which could be, because of adequate theoretical knowledge, specified eight hypotheses. In order to need collecting necessery data was completed a questionnaire. Its first part analyzes specific kind of consumer behavior manifestations, the second one analyzes the factors that influence the loan amount, which I chose as one of the consumer behavior manifestations. Three hypotheses were not confirmed, remaining five hypotheses were confirmed. With using the regression analysis there was shown that the factors which influence the loan amount the most are the wage amount, the purpose of the loan, marital status and age.
