The anti-Islam protest in the Czech Republic

The thesis captures the anti-Islamic protest between 2015-2016, which accelerated after the attack on the Paris editorial of Charlie Hebdo on 7 January 2015 and during the so-called refugee crisis. The author analyzes short interviews she made at demonstrations organized especially by the group around the Facebook page Islam in the Czech Republic, and from semi-structured interviews with selected participants, as well as from participating observations at demonstrations. Using a discursive analysis and biographical method of work, she creates an ideological map of the movement, its basic tropics, and the attitudes. This ideological map consists of three perspectives: In the first chapter, a image of distant another, created mainly through media experience, involving the image of Muslims and Islam. In the second chapter, the image of close another created in a longer-term perspective and in opposition to one's own political and social identity. In the second chapter, the author also describes how the image of those who do not belong to the community (nation, state, Europe) is constructed. Konzumerismus; zdravotní riziko nadváhy dětí školního věku v ČR jako pedagogický problém

The aim of this work is to elaborate methodological and didactic preparation of the topic for teaching within the subject of Education for Citizenship at Primary School on the background of clarification of development of consumer society in our country. Methods that will be used in the work: professional heuristics, comparison and compilation of literature and data sources, attempt to analyze problems. In the methodical-didactic (practical) part then observance of methodical and didactic principles of teaching. In the evaluation, the author will also consider the issue of consumerism health risk as a pedagogical problem. The bachelor thesis will be useful as a supplementary material for teaching the topic within of Education for Citizenship at Primary School. This will be helped by a brief presentation of the work in PowePoint, which will be part of the work in its supplements.

The influence of inflammatory cytokines on depressive disorders

1 Abstract Depressive disorders are one of the three most frequent diseases causing disability of everyday life of humans. Its occurrence in the population is rapidly increasing. Etiology of depression is unclear, and the treatment usually only ameliorates its symptoms. In patients, there were identified signs not only of chronic stress, which has been associated with depression for quite a long time, but also signs of chronic inflammation in the body. This has led to focusing on proinflammatory cytokines and their connection to chronic stress and depressive symptomatology. We are also interested in the causal link between pro-inflammatory markers and stress that has not yet been unequivocally clarified. The aim of this study is to combine the knowledge about the influence of chronic stress on the development of depressive disorder gained from animal and human models. Additionally, to combine the knowledge of the effect of specific proinflammatory cytokines on the development of the depressive disorder and the change in brain structures morphology which may underlie the symptoms of this disease.

Application of Analytical Methods for Analysis of Dyes Employed in Works of Art

Natural organic dyes suffer from degradation during the time. Therefore, the works of art need to be restored and the identification of dyes by analytical methods is important here. The possibilities of using three separation (thin-layer chromatography - TLC, capillary zone electrophoresis - CZE, and micellar electrokinetic chromatography - MEKC) and two spectroscopic (infrared microspectroscopy - IR and Raman microspectroscopy) methods for the identification of red dyes (acaroid, brazil, dragon blood, kamala, logwood, cochineal, madder, lac, and sandalwood) were studied and critically discussed. In TLC, under optimised conditions (silicagel with octadecyl, 80/20 (v/v) MeOH/1% TEA in 0.1 mol·dm-3 acetate buffer, pH 5, and 80/20 (v/v) MeOH/1% TEA in 0.025 mol·dm-3 tetraborate buffer, pH 7 and 9), the stain broadening of sandalwood, logwood, acaroid, dragon blood, and brazil was observed. Carminic acid, haematein and purpurin were not detected. A comparison of CZE and MEKC showed that MEKC was superior as it permits separation of all analytes, using 0.015 mol·dm-3 sodium dodecyl sulfate in 0.01 mol·dm-3 tetraborate buffer, pH 8.5, at a voltage of 20 kV. Nestinars in southeastern part of Bulgaria

Diploma thesis Nestinars in southeastern part of Bulgaria focuses on the material and spiritual culture of Nestinars, a small group of people living in region of Strandja. The body of work describes in detail the specific phenomena of spiritual culture, which cut across the structure of traditional and contemporary Bulgarian folk customs. It describes ceremonies that are part of the clan, family, annual festivals and church calendar. Nestinars as a subculture, whose socio-cultural negotiations and ideas to some extent differ from the majority of the Orthodox population, they are perceived externally as part of it. In this work we meet with traditional clothing, folklore music and holy sacrifice. The parallel with the Greek rite anastnaria is mentioned in the work as well. Both groups represent a traditional ceremony where believers show their devotion to the saints by dance and walking on burning wood charcoal.
